Need I to say I second that? What a horrible view on Heavyweight Boxing of the past 25 years until now! Wlad and Vitaly are excellent athletes and it is refreshing to have non american dominant heavyweights at the moment... slk123, man, I understand it's pretty disgusting to watch american flabby heavyweights makin the shuffle everytime they get hurt in european rings such as Cedric Boswell but you are absolutely blind with these european breakthrough above 190 lbs - Ali was so damn inteligent and skillful that just with his footwork and jab, he would make both Klitschkos look silly, Frazier would do the same to this 21st century european hwts that he did to Joe Bugner, if Lewis beat Vitaly in 6, one prime Foreman would probably finish the more resilient Klitschko in 3... Mike Tyson would leave Wlad flat in 1 just like he did to Sweet Lou way past his prime( remember Tony Tucker and James Bonecrusher Smith could take a punch and were much more versatile and I dare to say dangerous than the Klitschkos have shown so far), Carl the Truth Williams, Terrible Tim Whiterspoon, Tyrell Biggs, Tony Tubbs would out-score every single european in action today... Big Daddy Riddick Bowe, Lennox Lewis and Evander Holyfield would all be six or seven slots above them if they were all ranked in the same era... I believe a 44 year old Holyfield would keep Wlad away from trading in close and jabbing away with much more caution than against Lamon, hell yeah

People make comparisons because he is a houshold name in boxing.He was the self proclaimed greatest and people took it literally.He was great in his time against the 185 to 210lb guys but it is a different era in heavyweights with guys weighing in the mid 200's now and some above 300.I would love to see Ali in this era I just don't see him being able to tie up these big guys like he did back then.There aren't to many 210lb heavyweights that don't pack a big punch in the top 20 today.

I would love to see a prime ernie shavers have a crack at Vlad's chin. I like Vlad but he has a weigh advantage in mostly every fight. A weight advantage is a weight advantage. So i give him less cred.

....Shavers would be ineffective vs Wladimir due to the jab....yes Shavers could crack about ANYONE out with a clean shot but the thing is he couldn't land vs everyone which is why he's not undefeated.

If size is an issue for you Lennox Lewis won't be very good in your opinion....and neither will Ali, Foreman, or Holmes.

Only 2 hws are over 300 pounds that i can recall and thats freakshow Butterbean and freak of nature 7 foot Valuev as i keep saying Ali was no small fry at 220 and would beat all crap hws today i can't see how you can think different forgetting size and forgetting Wlad and Vitali for second how many of hws are fit how many of them are fast and how many of them are talented ?? you think if 8 foot basketball player with no skill would be able to beat smaller basketball with loads of talent ?? i don't think so and im not comparing basketball with boxing what im trying to say is you need alot more than just size in boxing you need talent heart speed fitness how many hws have got that now ??

Ali was 6'3" 220
And he was able to move like he did,and maintain a punch rate most HW's today could only dream of,for 15 rounds

And what punches did he maintain that rate with???? JAB.....JAB.......spaghetti armed hooks and right crosses they did damage though! Mainly because of speed more so than anything else....I never saw Ali sit down on a punch but they didn't look pretty when he threw them in flurries he was just really fast and effective at his punching.....Wlad is Wladimir Klitschko he's not Muhammed Ali and he fights different he can't fight the guys Ali did because they aren't boxing anymore and what the hell can he prove with these hypotheticals.....Wlad can only fight the guys who are out there and he's beaten most of them senseless so please some respect

I was telling both sides to chill out with the comparisons....it's not like Wlad compares himself to anyone he just goes out and tries to beat the fighter put infront of him and he's very respectful before and after the fight....what more can you ask for?


I know the answer will be a KO but hell look what happened in the first Brewster fight and the second one wasn't much different other than Wlad was only opening up in spurts and dominating with the jab....that to me tells me he had learned his lesson and being a smarter fighter doesn't always equal a more entertaining style but Wladimir has had some exciting fights and he'll have some more in his career it's just he fought Brewster EXACTLY the way he was supposed to and he won.
