There are only 2 ways this could be a sign of a "raical divide"
If the story is bigger because of the race of the criminal
Or,only back people commit that crime

Way more high profile than vick at any point in his career. If there was an "anti-black celebrity/success" conspiracy, he would've went down. Vick pleaded guilty, what part of that do people not understand? He didn't want it to go to trial because he knew he'd lose.

VD, the people that led the outrage cries against vick were more than likely animal rights idiots (not acitivists, because they cross the line many a time). They bitch about deer hunting just as much because "you're killing them in their home" ::**. The media may not play up their (the animal people) anti-hunting stance as much as their anti-dogfighting stance and thats the media's double standard, not people who led the charge against vick.

The people who followed and complained once the story broke will give their two cents about anything (like blacks and whites alike condeming the duke guys for "rape") and there's been negative comments from boths races aired on tv towards vick. They've only showed black people, most of which are high profile athletes or celebrities, support vick and that I agree is bullshit because there's a lot of white people out there that would have similar views in the rural south. It's not white vs black, it's just the media being the media and making it seem like that.

Stephan Marbury is by far one of the dumbest athletes in the world......and that is quite a statement. He is arrogant and a dick. If he was half as good as he thought he was.....M. Jordan wouldn't dribble in his shadow.

One of the funniest things that happened I believe last season but possibly the season before, after a really terrible showing by himself and the Knicks; he has one 20 point game and insisted on being referred to as 'Starbury'. What a wanker.

I have no knowledge of American political/racial issues but I can say honestly no matter who was doing it I'd be against deer hunting if they were farmed up for the sport and killed slowly and painfully and I'd be for quick dog killing with a bullet if they were over populated and therefore destroying their local environment (as happens with plagues of rabbits, locusts etc - they are man made by the impact we have on our environment and sadly need to be dealt with by people also).

If I was an animal I'd rather be the deer which wanders free in a pack whereever I want to go until suddenly dying from a gun shot than being forced to fight (and I am a competitive boxer and i do think it's different) and than being slowly painfully killed in multiple torturous ways by the only person i had in my life to connect with family.

It's unfortunate that Micheal Vick couldn't be someone all kids could look up to and emulate with his celebrity status. That shouldn't be reason for him to get away with it - which he obviously feels otherwise he wouldn't have confessed. I'm sure there are many fantastic athletes of all races and colours who would serve better as role models.

I'm sure that there are some others from all races who don't and are yet to be caught and brought to justice but hopefully they'll get their day in court eventually also. Unfortunately the fact that some people get away with stuff when they shouldn't is not restricted to cases where people are famous and is often due to lack of evidence or people willing or able to testify etc.
