not fighting due to an injury and not fighting due to being scared is alot different. Maybe someone will discuss the difference to you, i just dont have the time.

its annoying looking back isn't it that this is one fight we never got to see - as a big fight fan this is probably in my top 3 in disappointments of fights we never got to see due to boxing politics.

It wasn't politics that prevented this fight, it was Chicken Bowe.
They could have circumvented the politics & just fought if Bowe wanted to.
He did it with Holyfield the 3rd time round, presumably because he thought Holyfield was no threat.
I don't see Bowe being any more keen to make a fight with Lewis now than he was back then, it was an almost certain beatdown back then....and it still is now. Not that Lewis is coming out of retirement, he's a smart guy and doesn't need the money, and realises he doesn't need to do it for his legacy.
