Then the 'Honeyghan has too much weight in his legs' then 'oh wait, Curry has ring rust'. It progressed all the way through the spectrum to 'A shot Curry'.
So come the fight I'm expecting some Deja Vu...
Hitman to shock! 5th round body shot stops PBF.
Then back here for your hipswerves, slopey shoulders, fast backtracking and generally evasive excuses :)
Wishful thinking. But it's also foolish thinking. Honeyghan is pretty much a fighter who was at the right place at the right time. Curry was so weight drained it was sad. He had no business still fighting at 147 and paid for it. A prime Curry destroys Honeyghan the way Mark Breland destroyed him. And keep in mind Hatton will not be fighting a weigh drained fighter like Honeyghan did. Mayweather by dominate win over a in over his head Hatton

Your arrogance outshines my foolishness then :)
You cannot possibly know exactly what will happen on the night. That was my whole point, glad someone caught my drift :)
But to carefully explain it for you...The Hatton that turns up that night could be the man at the right time and place to beat PBF. And certain 'experts' (God forbid I would ever include you) will have a lot of egg on their faces.
I'm just hoping for a shocker because it will REALLY open up endless possibilities!

Re: This Is How I See Hatton vs Mayweather Fight Going.
One thing we know for sure Floyd will not show up half assed. Hatton will have to be at his very best and he will have to learn to use his jab in the space of a few months. No jab = Hatton getting hit on the way in all night long.
Hatton wants this fight to be a war in the centre of the ring that why he is dissin Floyd about his style percistently but Mayweather is too smart to take any of that shyte.
I think if Hatton can use a quick jab consistently and back Floyd up into the ropes he has every chance. He needs to be patient when he has Floyd there and pick his shots wisely otherwise he ill be eating counters. I would give Hatton a better chance if the reach advantage wasnt as big in mayweather's favour. The one thing Hatton shouldn't do is hit and hold case Mayweather will counter him when he trys that and also spin him round.
Re: This Is How I See Hatton vs Mayweather Fight Going.
I honestly don't see this fight being close. I think Floyd's going to box his head off.

Well im not sure if even a prime Curry would of beaten that version of Honeyghan but what i am sure of this wern't the same Curry who done a number on Milton McCrory with one of the best and quickest left hooks i've ever seen its shame Curry went downhill he was very talented fighter.
Re: This Is How I See Hatton vs Mayweather Fight Going.
An awful lot of discussion considering it's such an easy fight for Floyd and he is just taking it for a pay day :D
Not many people Stateside have seen Hatton prior to Tszyu. Take it from me, Collazo, Urango were NOT Ricky Hatton. Even Maussa was substandard (but nobody looks good against him!)
Chavez, sound, but Castillo didn't do too bad with his tactics in the first fight he had with Floyd did he?
They're aren't 20,000 Brits coming to Vegas for a holiday or to see him get beat, the majority of us have watched him from day one actually believe he is going to do it and that's against a fighter who is one of the very best to lace em up.
Hatton has a VERY big chance in this fight and not just with a body shot.
Great points by the majority in this thread though ;)
Mayweather Hatton (Skill + Tallent + Training=Win)
No what am Mayweather's fan, but ill try to be neutral here. It was on 2002 back in the days, me and my friend we thought about this fight, i told my friend that that it was too early for the fight to be on since they were both in the state of becoming hall of fames, he told me that it wont be interesting if they meet with some loses in between, i told him that Mayweather will never be beaten he told me Hatton will never be beaten either, i said then we must wait baby. Now i think the waiting is over these two undefeated are meeting, and trust me there will be a loser, the question is whom, the answer is Hatton. There are two ways that Mayweather can win the fight, either by fighting a smart defensive fight which will lead to a very easy win for him, there he will do nothing he will trade not even one combination, it will be those right jab leads, 1 jab, faint with a jab up and land it down stairs and trust me even if Hatton can Gamble he will never even land one blow. If Pretty Boy (PB) decides to do it that way people will be bored and there will be no appreciation but that will still be a win. The other way he can win the fight is using the same strategy he used on Chavez,Ndou, Corley,Gatti and Harnandez that is being there the whole night with that right hand hidden behind that left iron sholder and counter him while he comes forward. Hatton can move but he cant move when he is attacking because he is a banger brawler hence he sits in his punches, now that lightning right uppercut of PB will be dancing on his face, not once not twice but three times atleast.
Guys trust me Hatton is a tough fighter but, but that is not what matters when you have Floyd in front of you, The guy is a geneous he has good reflexes and speed that makes you to ice, his left jab that is usually hooked will be the best threat fo Hatton. I watched many good boxers in my time, am talking about Whittaker, Chamacho, Leonard, Witter,Morrales you name them, but in all of them there has never been someone like Mayweather, he is natural in such a way that he is never tired, there are no strains and fetiaque in his world he will always be undefeated. One other thing we should know he trains more than any other boxer in the planet.
I just wish that he can go there and get derty if nessecary so that people can see how great he is.
Re: This Is How I See Hatton vs Mayweather Fight Going.
If I was Hatton I would get under Mayweather's skin by calling him runner, weak puncher, sissy etc. It worked for Duran against an unbeaten Leonard do it could work for Hatton, but he seems too nice a guy to say these things. Also he does need to fight dirty with Floyd, and get very physical and did I mention the Punch in the ball's tactic that worked against Tszyu?

Hey, im getting used to the way these noobs are handling you VD ^-^
BTW, :coolclick: Kensai, welcome to Saddoboxing 8)
However, with that being said, over these last two years ive seen Hatton & Maywaether change slightly.
Style wise, this match up just aint what i used to think it would be.
Hatton mauls & spoils too much these days. In a sense, its what he does instead of boxing.
To a certain extent, when Hatton aint throwing punches, he's still on top of you, but out of danger.
Sometimes its blatant holding, most times its a lot more savvy. Fair enough.
But those kind of tactics will prove to be VERY ineffective against the pretty boy, simply becasue Floyd is just a whole different set-up in defence.
Plus IMO, Floyds way of infighting is very underrated and unique.
Due to the clash of styles, I think you'll find Hatton will start to do two things in the mid to later rounds that he has never done before.
1) Wait to throw
Up close, on Floyds chest, doing nothing. If only for a few, very noticable seconds. But enough for Floyd to tee-off on Hattons head & body for Hatton to then...
2) Go backwards
Either as a hurt man or as a Hatton who has struggled to bust up a slick counter-puncher and has had to go back on the outside and box
Both will be soooo detrimental to his confidence, let alone his chances of winning. Floyd will school Hatton if and when this happens however i doubt there'll be a stoppage. Unless of course a compassionate (and rightly protective) Billy Graham pulls him out of there.
This is exactly how i see the fight going at this point ;)
Re: This Is How I See Hatton vs Mayweather Fight Going.

Yep there's nothing wrong with it, I admire people who have the courage of their convictions. It's not anti-Hatton, it's pro-ICB!
