Aww damn it, ive never read ring magazine before (dont get it where i live :( ) but i do know what it stood for. It aint the fact that dela hoya bought it that is an issue, the person does not matter. It is his occupation that does. As said before, conflict of interest. He is a promoter and a fighter. The writers of Ring Magazine probably wont be game to write a bad word about dela hoyas ability in the ring, who would...its your boss. I wouldnt write an open letter about my boss being a dick head and being shit at his job and let him read it coz then id be sacked. Plus dela hoyas company has alot of good boxers in it such as mosely, wright, himself....so we better not see a p4p list that has all of his fighters in the top 10.

Funny really, while everyone has been bitching and moaning and condemning GBP for things they might do, it took someone with only 4 posts to actualy post something worth reading...
Most would of heard what Hopkins said about the ring belt after the winky fight, i believe it was the first time the MC ever announced that the fight was for The Ring belt. Now with Oscar in on the mag, their belt would obviously be worth alot more to him having it on the best fighters as the ONLY belt, and with him adding to his stable of boxers all the time this really could take us one step closer to have one belt. I know there will always be belts about, but this could push The Ring belt as THE belt or even preasure the ABC bodies to shape up.
I do wonder what harm Oscar could even do to this anyhow? the ring has always been biasd and always will be, read how the rankings are formed, i see no way Oscar could preasure them to change them in his favour in anyway.
