Froch makes for a good fight.. still not convinced he wont end-up getting seriously exposed though.
The Reid fight is understandable but is a no win fight. If he loses he's fucked. If he looks bad winning he's gonna get it. If he wins easy - so what.
If he knocks him out well with style it will grab the top peoples attention because Froch is dangerous, if any top fighter got caught with one of his right uppercuts they will be rocked
But the problem is everyone knows Reid is finished. The general feeling will be - oh well what did you expect. Plus Reid has always been able to make fights UGLY.
Unfortunately the fight is happening at the same time as Calzaghe-Kessler so I doubt it will hardly get anyones attention
But the point ive been trying to make to everyone is he is the number one, and the most common response is, who has he beaten to be number one etc etc. i dont decided the ratings, i think he cant do much else than win the fight thats put ahead of him! He HAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to fight for the title before spring, so the only thing Carl can do till then is fight who is in front of him and knock them out, hes been looking very good of late doing that. Yes the oppostion isnt the best, but hes showed that he is better than his fighting oppostion by knocking them out.
Re: Question for tam seddon - ref: Froch
He could have gone a long way to realising his own hype by accepting the offer warren made him to challenge joe, no matter how derogatory the offer was, that was his ticket to the top of the division and star status right there but he turned it down ::**

Re: Question for tam seddon - ref: Froch
Well as a genuine fan of Carls you must surely find his career frustrating ?
Hes fighting Robin reid who was beaten very comprehensivly by lacy 2 years ago and has had only 1 fight since
As a fan of Reids im excited that hes getting an opportunity to fight Carl at his most beatable, hes not completed 5 rounds in the last 17 months has been out for 8 months and is coming back from knee surgery
Robin knows how to spoil and be rough, he knows how to pace himself
This is a dangerous fight for Carl because of Reids proved class, Carl will not be sharp and this will let Reid get in to it early, this will help Robin get in a rythm.
Maybe Carl should have taken the adamu rematch
As Frochs manager you would have to be concerened with whoever he is fighting at this delecate point in his career, Robin isnt a soft touch
Lacy was doing ok against him for the first 5 rounds but it was an ilegal shot that started Reids downfall in that fight, so as a fan i can take Robin going down like he did with a pinch of salt, any fighter who gets hit full blown with a right hook by Jeff Lacy while looking away will go down

Im not frustrated to be honest because hes building himself into a better fighter, showing us that he is a very good power puncher and the determination on his is outstanding. I know that he should have maybe had better opposition but at the end of the day what can he do other than fight the person whos put in front of him? The way you are talking about Reid is making him sound like a decent fighter, so whats ure problem then? I think after this fight if Froch gets through it he will fight a harder fighter and then get his shot at the WBC title.

Froch is mandatory challenger for the EBU title, and according to EBU's website there is a deadline for purse offers in November. Christian Sanavia currently holds it, with a voluntary defense against Danilo Haussler coming up.
Is this a likely fight for Froch to take? Surely it's a considerable step up from anyone he has faced so far, but then again he needs to prove himself at some point.
(Also I'd love to see Froch in the ring wit Mads Larsen, if only for the reason I am completely confident Larsen would beat him... )
Re: Question for tam seddon - ref: Froch
I dont think he'll be beaten in Europe.
Re: Question for tam seddon - ref: Froch

At Euro Level.
And at world level apart from Kessler, Calzaghe the only Europeans at the top of SM are Beyer and Braehmer who Froch would beat.
Unless u count Russia and The former Soviet Block i guess. Then u could add Inkin Bute n Tsypko i guess.
Re: Question for tam seddon - ref: Froch
Ya can check out his own site here http://www.cobraboxing.com/ It's just been launched, but still a very nice looking site, full of all the things ya need to know about Carl 8)

Don't see it being very popular with anyone outside of the UK as they really have no reason to notice Carl yet.

I would pick Braehmer over Carl Fraud. I think he's better fighter

Braehmer is another guy that like Froch, is showing signs but never fully following thru and convincing me.
Re: Question for tam seddon - ref: Froch
I think Lucian Bute would take Froch.

Give me some decent reasons why he is a fraud?
