Dude....do you even read our front news page??? Rob Lewis aka Preme did an interview with Calzaghe straight after these rumours of Hopkins making an $8 million offer, and neither Calzaghe nor Warren had heard anything about it.
Hopkins making up bogus claims about offers that never materialised....how exactly is that Joe's fault. If that offer was legit, Joe would be on it like flies on S***. And on one hand you're saying Hopkins is past it....and then you're saying he should take the fight.
The reason the Woods fight is being mentioned is dual...Hopkins don't want a fight before next summer, and Joe would rather have one sooner. And there's the small matter of the IBF light-heavy belt.
As for Wales as a venue....do the math. 60,000 tickets = more cash than 16,000 tickets. Everyone makes more money. And from what I've seen, with the exception of Hatton bouts, Vegas' atmosphere doesn't come close to the Millennium Stadium.
The basic fact is, if Golden Boy fronts up with their $8 million offer, Joe'll take it, heck, any fighter would.

An interview with Joe or Frank cannot be taken as fact at anytime.
Equally, I don't think I can remember one of your posts when anything positive was said of Calzaghe at all, and anytime someone tries to say something positive about him, or support what he's actually saying you/Daxx/VD and the anti Calzaghe brigade jump on them and start spouting on whoever is supporting him.
And as someone else mentioned, the vast majority of my SC's come from Joe Calzaghe's threads because I support him as a fighter. As for high profile fights...and this is always unjustified in my view....the SMW's have been quiet in Calzaghe's era, but he's beaten anyone of quality in the division.
