Re: It's just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds : Mayweather vs Hatton
Mayweather is a gimp in that respect...
It's perfectly acceptable for him to walk around disrespecting every one under the sun, but when Ricky makes one provocative (but by no means demeaning) statement Floyd gets all offended and outraged. "He insulted me!!!" What a hypocritical baby.

Hatton by decision in the biggest stunner of the century thus far.
Re: It's just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds : Mayweather vs Hat
Good work Wack cc.
At the mo I'm leaning towards a FM Decision. Change my mind every week.
IMO this fight is very hard to gauge, you can look at a good performance of one of the guys (Tzyu or Gatti), and then a poorer performance (Collazo or IMO ODLH) and just not know what's going to happen. Both guys will bring their A games to this fight, I doubt Mayweather has taken this lightly considering he picked so long ago, and he doesn't want to fuck his legacy.
I'll be surprised if this fight is easy for one or the other, it's going to be close. I don't see Floyd creaming Hatton like he did Gatti, Hatton is better at getting inside, and is also stronger with better stamina. I don't see Hatton stopping Floyd either (unlees at best a very late TKO) due to Floyd's defence and good conditioning, Hatton dooes hit quite hard, but he's not the monster some guys make him out to be after the Castillo fight, he's fought a few guys where his punches just bounced off them.
I see it going one way and then the other, Hatton won't be discouraged if he has a bad round, he'll raise the pace again in the next, like he did against Tzyu, but He won't be landing as often against Floyd, and will ultimately be outboxed over the twelve.

Oh i cant wait for Dec 8th a lot of people on here are going to be eating a lot of humble pie curtousy of Money Mayweather "Flashy" lol he does sound like a bit of a pr**k tho
Re: It's just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds : Mayweather vs Hatton
He sounds incredibly arrogant, self centered and at times ignorant to be honest.
this a pity as boxing and it's biggest star has always been seen as a sign of society in that era.
The 20's had Dempsey; a rugged era, tough no doubt!
The early 50's had Joe louis; a time of silence and barely covered fear.
The late 50's was the time of Sugar Ray; a happier flashier time
The 60's had Muhammad Ali; A time of revoloution, change and refusal to conform.
The 70's had a good mix with Monzon and the emergence of SRL; a time of rejoicee and style
The 80's had the big 4; we all now about that.
But what have we now? If our biggest star is a trash talking unpopular provocative and general unlikable huma being what does that say about us?
So if Floyd is to beat Rick (God forbid!) i'd think maybe Floyd should make a sustained attempt to calm it a bit.

Are you talking about the current decade or the 1960s?
Because Ali was the most disliked and unpopular athlete in the entire United States during the late 1960s, and was viewed as a rude obnoxious trash talking unlikeable human being.
In fact, if you look throughout history, the best fighters have usually been brash, cocky and controversial. Floyd Mayweather is no different personality-wise than most of the great fighters throughout the years.

People forget what a jerk and a racist toward his own people, he was as well as a contoversial political effect he had.
They only see him as a feeble old fella who commands sympathy cause he is stricken with a debilitating disease.
I'll venture to say that if Ali was 100% healthy without disease he would still be arrogant and abrasive

Truer words were never spoken.
Ali was a bit of a racist on top of being a player.
Liston was a thug.
Tyson was a total piece of shit.
It's not all Floyd...& honestly...I aint out painting the town with him...so I could really give a shat in the end. As long as Floyd does his work in the ring...you know that he's doing it outside of the ring also.
Re: It's just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds : Mayweather vs Hatton
Choice quotes that I found to be quite amusing…
Oscar De La Hoya : “What I see with Hatton is that he has both speed and power. The difference with Hatton is that he brings intelligent pressure and that’s the key word. He not only comes forward and puts pressure on you, he does it in an intelligent way and that will play a part in the fight”
Ricky Hatton : “I have no doubt that at times he might lead me in a merry dance and pick me off with his wonderful boxing ability,” said Hatton. “But can he do that for twelve rounds? Has he got the firepower to deal with my educated pressure? That’s the key.”
So…basically Oscar has come up with & convinced Hatton that he can beat Floyd by using…“intelligent & educated pressure”?
Hilarious.
STFU!
Just push Floyd around the ring all night as hard as you can & you might get a win. A prime young Castillo tried & failed…but it may work with Hatton…just don’t call that shit intelligent pressure…it makes you look stupid, Oscar.
We all get that your’e bitter about losing.

Jack Dempsey was loved, a rough man but loved.
SRR was cocky but in a nice way and loved.
Joe Louis was loved never cocky or arrogant.
Marciano was probably the most humble of all
And i am well aware of Ali's status in the 60's yet he turned it all round in the 70's. You think we're all going to love Floyd soon?

The odds of this occurring are no worse than the odds in the 60s that Ali would one day be loved.
