Like I said, I guess Calzaghe can't eat off a couple of millions. The poor thing.
Do you think he should fight for our entertainment?
Boxing is about money.
The bigger the fight the more money you make.
Why do you think old BHOP wanted to bash-up little Oscar so bad?
Yet you bash Hopkins for pulling out the first fight with Calzaghe so he can make the Oscar fight. And get more money. God damn hypocrite.
Ive never bashed Hopkins for bottling a career high payday against Calzaghe, to fight a bunch of nobodies for peanuts, before landing the lottery against little Oscar.
I always said he was SMART ;)
A Calzaghe fan giving another fight shit for fighting a bunch of nobodies. Priceless!
Branko Sobot
David Starie
Richie Woodhall
Juan Carlos Ferreyra
Will Mcintyre
Mger Mkrtchian
Tocker Pudwill
Kabary Salem
Evans Ashira.......
All HUGE names that have fought Joe for the title.....
You seem to have missed the point.
What fighter did Calzaghe turndown.. what career high payday did he refuse.. to instead face those guy? ;)
Glen Johnson. 3 times.

But the argument is equally able to be used to dismiss many of today's greatest fighters. For example, Hopkins, as he seems to be the topic....
Robert Allen x 3
Morrade Hakkar
Carl Daniels
Syd Vanderpool
Antwun Echols x 2
Andrew Council....
Not exactly a who's who of future hall of famers is it. All champions have these type of fights against guys who aren't really in the running to pick up wins, just picking up paychecks and keeping the fighter busy. Calzaghe is no different.

Yeah but Joe C has had more no name or no hope fighters than most long running champs. More than Hopkins atleast.

Left out quite a few names there didnt you?
Re: Calzaghe rejects Hopkins offer.....
this has became like a soap saga where you get the girl and leading man on the show looking to get together but something always happens to stop them ............. the show carries the will they wont they story line for months, they get together then something happens to one of them and its all very sad
but this fight wont happen............... good old joes all talk and no action when it comes to going to america and good old hopkins has said no to wales
i blame joe and warren, im tired of hearing say he'll get a big fight for so many of his fighters but it never happens.... warrens top fighters always seem to leave him NAZ, HATTON..... but joe sticks with him coz off the easy level he can fight at.......... now before someone jumps in with a two footed tackle i know kessler was a good fighter and lacy was to............. but they where decent guys who came over to fight joe, everything has to be in joes favour before he signs...... its got to be in his backyard, its got to be someone whos no better then 7.5 out of 10 its got to be a stand in front of me opponet no one to tricky

Except for Hakkar who was straight garbage, the rest were good to mediocre fighters. Calzaghe list is full of straight garbage fighters. That's the difference.

Definitely feeling threatened.

Who else was there for Hopkins to fight at Middleweight?
He had no one but Roy and they couldnt do numbers and neither ducked the other guy. Joe ducked Glen Johnson many times. But what other Middleweight could Hopkins have fought during his win streak?
