I don't know much about fox hunting sounds more like dog fighting than I would care to see or participate in.
True hunters need to have a respect for nature as without it then there would be no hunting....sometimes just going and not even shooting is fun, watching nature is entertainment...you see much more than just deer when you deer hunt....bobcats, wild turkeys, foxes, bears, hell you can see any number of things and you don't just shoot and kill everything, that's ridiculous and irresponsible......and the way Hollywood portrays hunting as pure evil is irresponsible too as without hunters the only apex preadator that routinely checks the deer population in the SouthEastern US is the CAR.
If these pitbulls weren't fighting each other, they would just be out eating peoples babies.

That's fucking stupid....pitbulls when they are disciplined and exercised and trained properly they are just as good as any other dog.
They do have it in their nature to be "stubborn" and not easily dominated, but once you have that over any dog you basically OWN them. Anyone can have a dog but not everyone OWNS a dog
Michael Vick was irresponsible and cruel and he earned his sentence

Yeah, pretty much exactly what hunting is Britain isn't to be honest.
Re: Roy Jones Admits to Dogfighting
Dogs don't live that long anyway.
I do however have something against nations attacking smaller countries in the name of NATIONAL SECURITY which I know is for OIL. (Parts of the UN included here)
Are not people lives more important than dogs?
I would much rather go after those who want to go to war and commit war crimes.
Phuk a dog.

Re: Roy Jones Admits to Dogfighting
....Oil is $100 a barrell what the fuck are you on about? If we attacked for oil, wouldn't it be cheaper now????
The true reason we attacked is probably to create a democratic police state that will help us protect Israel and maybe create a political change in the entire region......a good thought but a silly policy to carry out.

Pitbulls have attacked people and their babies even when they have been raised perfectly. To say otherwise would be a statement composed of ignorance. Not EVERY pitbull that attacks some baby was raised for dog-fighting, not even MOST pitbulls that attack are raised for dog-fighting.
Of course when these dogs are brought up to fight and are beaten by their owners, they are more likely to eat humans. The problem is that a lot of times they are raised perfectly, yet they still have a moment of aggression and attack, and if the victim happens to be some 2 year old little girl, guess what?
It's in their genetics to fight. That is their history, that is how the breed was created, for FIGHTING. I don't go to dog fights because it's not my deal, but I don't give a shit if other people are into that. I don't kill deer, either, but I don't give a shit if other people do.
I have a 3 year old daughter, and would NEVER leave her in a room with some pitbull by herself. A golden retriever? no problem. If you have kids, then you know exactly what I'm talking about.

I'm not really bothered by fox hunting at all to be honest. Surely the most humane and natural way for an animal to die is at the hands of other animals :)

Dogs don't usually attack for no reason. Yes I am well aware seemingly normally raised dogs (breed aside because Rotties and German Shepards and so on have also mauled people) can maul and kill people.
This doesn't mean the owners raised the dogs well, they might not have been aware of signs of aggression or whatever and not being aware means they didn't treat the symptom and it remained until an attack happened. And many owners of dogs who attack simply LIE about the fact that their dog showned no signs of aggression.
I have been around a few Pit Bulls in my life an I have not feared for my well being at any minute....I wouldn't leave any child as young as 3 with any dog though. In my opinion Pits are no worse than regular Bulldogs just as stubborn and just as hyper. People who know dogs will tell you Pit Bulls can be sweet loving animals.
Why does Michael Vick need to be freed? He broke the law, multiple times...it's only right he serves his time.

.....if you want to equate dog fighting and boxing then Mike Tyson (amongst many MANY others) must be euthanized for prior "attacks"

But the dogs obviously do want to fight else these events couldn't take place.
Why don't they try and organise cow fights or sheep? My guess is that if they did those animals would stand there not doing an awful lot ;)
Re: Roy Jones Admits to Dogfighting
I am sure you could get longhorn sheep to fight and bulls to fight during the rut season but being herbivores it would be hard to motivate such actions....they don't really have to look for food or fight to bring food down....it's plants and berries, easy pickings
You could get cats to fight though I am fairly sure....at least for a little bit

Yup, I agree, most toffs are a bunch of dumb animals.
However, allow me to refer you to Bill Bailey for the anti-(humourous) argument against hunting:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHYjZ...eature=related
....yeh, but they don't chase them mounted on pigs with a pack of slavering shrews. Starts about 3:10 into the clip.

:coolclick: for the vid, I'm a big fan of Bill Bailey being from the West Country myself.
Regarding the foxes chasing mice on pigs with a slavering pack of shrews..........are you telling me that if that actually did happen that it wouldn't be the most popular Wildlife on One episode of all time?
David Attenborgough's meerkat's could fuck right off, we'd all be watching the fox and his crazy gang hunting the mice :)

well michael vick is an idiot that was killing dogs, betting on the fights, taking dogs across state lines to fight lied about it and kept the dead animals at his house and they's were on his dumbass for five years
...Roy simply said that he lets them fight for 10 or 15 minutes and that's it but not to the death basically i guess you can call it sparring his own dogs....and BTW ROY compared to vick in terms of their respective sport Roy's a god and vick is the dirt that he'd walk on...
