What do you want Cotto to do wait for Mayweather and not earn a living by not fighting. Cotto would fight Mayweather in his next fight. Until then he is keeping busy and active.

Kinda funny how I haven't seen that on here over the last couple weeks.
exactly.

My lack of boxing knowledge? That just goes to show that some of you guys are too many levels below to even bother.

Alfonso Gomez - imagine what the Mayweather haters would be saying if it was Floyd fighting Gomez instead of Cotto fighting Gomez. They sure as hell wouldn't be trying to sell it off as a "keeping busy fight:rolleyes:"
Margarito/Cintron winner - Great fight for Cotto, but to think that either one of those guys would pose a threat to Mayweather is laughable. Nonetheless, it's a good move for Miguel to unify his titles so that the Mayweather vs. Cotto fight will be that much bigger ($$$), and more importantly, more meaningful.
Second of all.............
Who says that fighting Oscar Delahoya at 154 isn't/wasn't a helluva lot more dangerous than fighting Cotto at 147? Delahoya at 154 is a lot tougher that Alfonso Gomez, Kermit Cintron, and Antonio Margarito for sure.
Lastly...............
The Mayweather vs. Delahoya fight ended in a SPLIT DECISION. The last time that Mayweather fought a fight that was that close, he fought a rematch. What's wrong with giving a rematch in a close fight that appeals to 98% of boxing fans and THE REST OF THE WORLD.
If Cotto had the chance to fight Delahoya, he would do it in a heartbeat.
After reading some of the responses in this thread, it should be very clear to everybody that nobody is avoiding Cotto, especially Floyd Mayweather; but that avthere are a lot of delusional members of this forum that are avoiding the truth when they say crazy nonsense like "Mayweather is avoiding Cotto."
Hey Frozensolid i want to add about this above line , that is not the members that are avoiding the Truth of these Topic , is the whole world knows that ,the Sport Press , Commentators , Boxing Analist , Fans , everybody , we always talk about money , but righ now what more do Mayweather neeed? he just need to proof that he are the best in WW division p4p and the way is fighting with all competitive boxers in that Division , specially Cotto , so pardon me but is not the Members that is avoiding the Truth , i think is Mayweathers Fans......;D
Re: Floyd Mayweather is definitely avoiding Cotto.
INO Cotto is the only fighter at this time that can defeat PBF. Maybe Margarito, but im not sold on him yet

After ODLH (a close split desicion) and Hatton, I don't really see any big thread out there for Mayweather :-\.

Cotto has not fought someone shot and at 140 pounds Cotto was only 70% of himself now and still beat the current IBF and WBO 140 pounders today.
Great post.
PBF has avoided everyone he could until the timing absolutely was in his favor. Most of his dominant wins, including Hatton, were over smaller or worn down opposition.
PBF is a classic starling who markets but doesn't fight for us.
