Lmao, that's a joke right? A prime Zab Judah on 2 weeks notice isn't a big enough risk for you??
Colin Lynes is no bum either..He would give anyone problems at 140 imo because he's so technically sound.
And what happend to witter in that fight!? he lost... so the risk was totally pointless and a very unnesaccary loss in my eyes.
Re: Malignaggi-Hatton close, Paulie praises Hatton and calls him a "Great champion".
Im A HUGE Malignaggi fan, but I think Ricky takes this one. Paulie is slick but he isn't skilled on the inside like Floyd. I see Ricky closing the distance and eating him up.
Some of you guys forget how good Ricky really is. Just because Floyd made him look bad doesn't mean he is bad. Paulie is a real good fighter but he's no Floyd.

I understand what you're saying, but nobody had ever knocked Castillo out before Hatton took him out. .
Disagree Collazo didn't get robbed, that was fight was about as close as you could get. I have watched it many times and i have had different scorecard every time. Just depends on what you look for in fights, Hatton landing more punches and forcing the action constantly, or Collazo's more cleaner and more eye catching punches.
I gotta point a few things out here:
First, all but ONE of Castillo's 7 losses are by KO/TKO
Margarito is a THUDDING puncher. That has been quoted by most of his opponents. He fought basically everyone who wanted a shot(which was few)and th eonly belt holder with balls enuff to give Williams a shot.
Lastly,if you are getting a different score EACH time you score a fight, then you are not doing a proper job and you should not count your tally. NEVER adjust your criteria, the judges don't get to.

I explained this badly. Castillo had never previously been beaten by a KO. They were all TKO/cuts stoppages previously. Nobody had ever kept the man down for a ten count.
As for Tony, say what you like about willingness, but you get credit for what you do in your career, not what you want to do. Yeah he was ballsy enough to give Williams a shot, but he lost the fight. People have knocked Hatton for his loss to Mayweather, who is the best in the friggin world. My point is, people are rating Margo higher when he's actually done less in his career. I just think the mentality of some people on here is pretty fucking stupid at times.

These are very good points... I was just watching Castillo Johnson last night... Castillo of old was fantastic... All heart.
I agree with the Tony comment. He is rated high for not just what he's done but how he's been avoided. He is a dangerous fighter and people mistake being dangerous for being better. I like Tony a lot but don't quite rate him as high as most people. I appreciate the fact he gave Williams a shot and it shows that he's in it to win it but at the end of the day... It doesn't make him a better fighter. It earns him fans though. I respect him for that. I pic him over Cintron again.

I disagree. Cotto at 147 is much better than Cotto at 140. Cotto puts more power behind his shots now. Ricky is better at 140 and against guys at the weight, his power tells more. I wouldn't rule out a stoppage.
Re: Malignaggi-Hatton close, Paulie praises Hatton and calls him a "Great champion".
I'm here.
At this stage every Hatton fight is a blessing. The man will not be around for much longer, so we shall enjoy it while it lasts.
Whats another blessing is the shallow limits of the light welters at the moment. This should see us being presented Hatton v Malignaggi, Witter & Torres in the next two years. Holt may be thrown in there too.

Ngoody-gumdrops came pretty close to stopping him.

Good points. BTW,overlook me sometimes when I seem kinda sharp in my comments. I can't seem to get my personality to translate to type the way I intend to,lol. I've been reading a few replies that I posted around this board and I may owe a few apologies. I am a diabetic and that often controls my mentality as much as my blood sugar.

;D
I wouldn't worry about it. Nobody has complained and I haven't seen any evidence of you being a tool at any time. Just good debate. Keep it up...oh yeah, and agree with me all the time and you'll always be right.

He's fighting one of the best at 140 before the year end, and I doubt he'd retire without fighting Witter. I can't believe people think a fight with Witter would be close. Junior isn't in the same class. Name one genuine threat that Witter has beaten?
It's fun

Castillo was never KO'd until he met Hatton, plus Castillo had never been on the deck until he fought Hatton. All of Castillo's losses until he met Hatton were either cut stoppages or being stopped on his feet. And why are you mentioning Castillo in the first place ?? i said Collazo not Castillo. What i meant to say is that Hatton vs Collazo is a kind of fight that you could score differently each every time. There are a few close rounds that could of gone either way thats the beauty of watching fights many times and scoring it differently. I only scored 1 round different im not talking about major changes in my scoring.

I was actually replying to a reply from someone who quoted you earlier I believe, lol. The other poster had just worded something a little funny saying Castillo had only one KO/TKO loss where seven were present.
