Re: Castillejo-Sylvester Live Stream Link-Fight has started !!!!!!!!!!!
Very good fight.
I had to log out cause my stream was a bit choppy...
Javier fucked up by letting off, he needed to fight the inside fight like he did early on. He started backing off and giving SS room which is his key to wining. SS needs room to throw and Javier gave him all the room he wanted. When Javier did try to get inside he didn't do enough to get in and SS would just turn him and get off the ropes. SS did well staying off the ropes, his defense still needs work and with this win I guess we can have Amin A. vs. SS III....
:appl:

Also Javier did nothing to work the cut on SS.
From round 10 and on I thought SS would gas out but he shut me up.
He continued to punch and satyed busy.
Bring on Amin....

In an important middleweight clash, European middleweight champion Sebastian Sylvester (29-2, 14 KOs) earned a date with WBA middleweight champion Felix Sturm with an explosive twelfth round knockout of former two-division world champion and official WBA challenger Javier Castillejo (62-9, 43 KOs) on Saturday night at the Jahnsportforum in Neubrandenburg, Germany (115 miles north of Berlin). It was a brutal fight as the 40-year-old Castillejo pressed the action. The more mobile Sylvester was cut over the right eye in round two by an unintentional headbutt, but often stood his ground to exchange punches. The early rounds were close, maybe even a small edge to Castillejo, but that all changed in the sixth, when Sylvester had a huge round. "The Hurricane" repeatedly rocking Castillejo with big shots. From that point, Sylvester generally got the better of the exchanges and the bout ended dramatically when Sylvester laid out Castillejo with a huge right hand at the 1:53 mark. Castillejo was down for several minutes.

Sylvester will be Sturms next mandatory opponent...oh boy...that will be a great fight...But even after that performance of Sylvester I think he is an easier opponent for Sturm than Casti...
I think he did a great job. If you can knock out Castillejo, you are the real deal.
I think he and Sturm will be a great fight.

Re: Castillejo-Sylvester Live Stream Link-Its over... what a fight...
I wouldn't be surprised if Castillejo retires after this loss.
At times to me he looked like he didn't want to be there or like he wasnt fully there.
Whichever the case mauybe I think it's time for him to hang 'em up.

Most def. he should be proud.
He is Spains greatest fighter ever the only other big name I can think of out of Spain is 'Chupete' Melero and even then Melero never captures a World title.
Re: Castillejo-Sylvester Live Stream Link-Its over... what a fight...
Yes you're right, I saw him not totally focused, anyway after 3-4 round punishment he seemed to be out. He could stand the blows, but the fight was already in Sylvester hands in my opinion. Anyway he's the great Castillejo, Spain's boxing legend I give him total credit and I agree this could be the best moment for him to retire. Whatever he does he will be the king in Spain forever.
Re: Castillejo-Sylvester Live Stream Link-Its over... what a fight...
Sylvester did himself and The Left Over Warriors proud!
I too would like to see a rubber match against Asikainen, but dunno if that is part of the plans for the immediate future. Amin is out with injury until the fall also.
For those who havent seen the fight, it can be seen here:
Der Sylvester-Kampf in voller Lnge | sport.ARD.de
The 168 EBU title fight between Christian Sanavia and Karo Murat which was on the undercard can also be watched here (I have yet to see it myself):
Alle Runden des Murat-Kampfes | sport.ARD.de
Murat is young, undefeated (18-0) and now European champ. Might be interesting to follow.
