A prime Hagler destroys prime Leonard, and Leonard knows it, too. Hagler, old Hagler, sparked prime Hearns in round 3. Mustafa Hamsho probably means nothing to you? You probably rate Reggie Johnson higher.
I've only seen Mustafa look good against Benitez which is admirable, but I've seen Benitez look pretty bad when he hasn't trained, he was also an old man fighting quite a bit above his natural wieght. I do think Reggie would be a tougher opponent, I have him beating the Mustafa that fought Lalonda or Rocci quite badly. Especially considering Reggie was a sparring partner for Roy earlier in his career so the he knew what was coming up in terms of Roy's speed and abilities.
That being said, don't take what I am saying personally, I don't mean it, I am just fucking with you. Daxx is still crying about me every 10 seconds.
I never have nor will I ever "Cry" about you....
Taeth who don't you argue with? I can't remember a post you ever made that did not have at least one big debate ensue where you started acting like a scab....
You are mistaken Taeth your not worth me giving any real thought to...
Your opinions are biased and 90% of your knowledge comes off the net....

I don't think stylistically Jones is a nightmare for Hagler. Jones is a stylistic nightmare for a counterpuncher like James Toney or a one-dimensional slugger like Thomas Tate. Or a plodding, slow pressure fighter like Clinton Woods. I think people are saying that based on the Leonard fight, and by that point, Hagler's legs were old and he had become far more one dimensional.
Jones never fought anybody like Hagler in his prime, the combo of power, speed, determination, and skill. The closest, in terms of talent he got was probably Toney, and Toney was much different style than Hagler.
Then I can say that from the other side and say that Hagler never fought anyone even close to Roy Jones in terms of power speed or style.
Re: How would a Roy Jones Jr Vs Marvin Hagler fight have ended
i picked jones on points but this fight could go either way both in their primes were different jones basicly had it all speed power a little defense footwork and hagler had almost everything except speed if it was a 15 round fight hagler if it was a 12 round fight jones.

But it would be fair to say that Hagler's opposition was much much better than Jones', so it would not apply conversely so much.
Tommy Hearns, Roberto Duran, Ray Leonard, Bobby Watts etc were stratospeheres better than some of the people around when Jones was, I would say - so Hagler would have been used to facing much better fighters and beating them.
Re: How would a Roy Jones Jr Vs Marvin Hagler fight have ended
I honestly don't see any middleweight beating Roy Jones JR. He was an amazing boxer. UD Jones.
