See this ranking bodies does consider your rankings in your previous division...
.
As i said Joan Guzman was number 1 because he was challenging for Nate Campbell's belt's which makes him the number 1 contender automatically which makes sense having Edwin Valero on any Lightweight rankings makes no sense because not only does he not have any fights scheduled at Lightweight even worse he has had no fights at Lightweight if we are using your logic then Vernon Forrest should be ranked at Middleweight ? or Chad Dawson should be ranked at Cruiserweight ? do you see where this logic fails ?
No. 2 to No. 15 can also challenge the champion... It's the other way around, Guzman was ranked at no. 1 (coz he's a 130 champ) and got the mandatory challenger status NOT that because he challenged the champ so he got the no. 1 contender ranking... ;D automatically ?? :lolhaha:
.
Summary:
You like PAC the most at 135, that's what you're saying right?
Because you don't see the flaws in your own argument.

Of course it is he is challenging the champion so he becomes number 1 challenger i know full well about number 2 to number 15 ranking challengers can challenge the champion but thats different in this case but what does Joan Guzman's accomplishments at 130 have to do with his ranking ? absolute nothing and that fact you have to keep using sites to prove your argument without actually voicing your opinion speaks volumes because i don't think you even understand the logic either.

You provided no valid arguments for ranking PAC higher than JMM at 135.
At least me and Fightnews agree and ranked PAC at no. 1 ... (actually I copied Fightnews :lolhaha: )
.
Yea you copied fightnews because you have no opinion of your own.

Nope... I'm trying to justify Fightnews no. 1 ranking of PAC...

So maybe you can tell me how Fightnews ranks fighters? Let's start with that.

It will sound too arrogant if I'll claimed Fightnews copied my rankings... ;) Seriously I think PAC is the no. 1 lightweight...
Anyway since PAC will be jumping to 147... I hope Campbell and JMM will have a fight to determine who's no. 1 (the spot vacated by PAC) ... :lolhaha:

The most logical answer why Valero is ranked by Fightnews at lightweight even if Valero has no fight yet at that division is because he's a 130 champ... That's how I read it...

hmmm sounds like a guess to me. So you agree with an organization's rankings but can't say why they do things the way they do. You are a fanatic, and chose fightnews because they have PAC at # 1.
Let's go with THE RING who I am using for this argument. You gain rankings by beating ranked fighters. You become champ by beating the champ. If the champ retires the number 1 and 2 (in certain case 1 and 3) fight to become champ. Simple makes sense. Makes a lot more sense than a popularity contest which is exactly what fightnews rankings are.

There's no perfect ranking system... The RING? It's only a magazine... Casamayor's RING belt is not that highly regarded because the RING rankings also has its own flaws...

The ring is not only a magazine, it is the only organization that recognizes who the real lineal champ of each division is. Please tell me the flaws of the Ring system.
Re: Joel gets stopped - major surprise
I don't care about rankings or lineal or anything but as far as the fight goes I was fairly surprised he stopped Casa but not even remotely surprised he won because I think Casa was past it. And that wasn't a result of this fight, I've been saying that since the last Corralles fight on here often. Still JMM was impressive, amazing offensive fighter.
Re: Joel gets stopped - major surprise
Past it's probably better than "shot"

"You become champ by beating the champ" can be considered a flaw since it can be also manipulated on who will control the belt. The challenger need not work up the rankings to get a shot at the ring champ.
The ring champ has no mandatories and this also can be considered a flaw.

Of course the Champ controls the belt, who else would?
Why is not having any mandatories a flaw?
