Re: Pacquiao beating Hatton...I just don't see it
hi Folks,
new to the site so please go gently on me !!
I have watched a few of the recent Pac man fights and anyone who has had success against him ( albiet briefly ) have managed to nulify his left hand straight down the pipe by getting him on the back foot. He can sometimes appear a little one dimensional and doesn't seem to be able to counter as well as he goes forward.
Hattons style of pressuring will help him do this , however his footwork might let him down, he can move Pac back bit it get's different if Pac moves laterally.
In short, great left straight at you but if he can't throw it he can't hit you.
Hatton in 8 before he heads off back down the pub and a round of nothing fights or a big loss.
Cheers
Re: Pacquiao beating Hatton...I just don't see it
hmm a limited skilled David Diaz, a washed up ODLH and now a Hatton one fight removed from being KO'd . Is this your definition of the worlds best P4P? I just hope the old Hatton shows up but I think his style is good for PAC.
Re: Pacquiao beating Hatton...I just don't see it
Agree, hope the old Hatton shows on the night, if he can get on top of him from the off before PAC gets his rythme a lot of people might have to eat humble pie. Yes Hatton can get tired but usually if he has to chase, if someone want to stand with him as PAC might then he will be one happy man.Still stand by my prediction for Hatton to upset the applecart.

I disagree a bit here, I wouldn't say Diaz has limited skills, I think that's a bit of an overstatement; he will probably not make the hall of fame but for me, a limited skilled boxer would apply more to a Carlos Maussa or a Arthuro Gatti for example. Don't get me wrong here, Gatti has and will always be one of my favorite of all time, he has a heart large as Canada and thunder in both hands but genuinely skills talking, he's limited. As for the DLH thing, it was considered by many specialists as VERY risky for PAcman and relatively a piece of cake for DLH. What happened is unclear as for its causes (a bad regime that left him with a shrinked stomach unable to get properly rehydrated? they got him to slim in a way where he couldn't shed pounds off by rehydration?) but DLH was supposed to jump in at around 160, which would have been ALL another fight. For example, against Mayweather, he could have deserved the draw and would have kept his jab after the fifth, could even have won the fight by decision.
With such performance against Mayweather, I think he could have under normal circumstances have given Pac the hell, really.
For these reasons, I don't think we can belittle Pacman's performances before his show with Ricky. This is gonna be a competitive fight with sparks all over, I think that Pacman's speed and overall better ability with both hands will prevail, especially as I feel his conditionning is better than Hatton but you cannot count the hitman out already, if he can push Pac to the ropes and confuse him, we could be in for a surprise but to this point, I favor PAcquiao, especially because I think Roach is a better trainer than S.r and gives overall better advices in the corner.

Addicted_to_Boxing is an idiot. He was wrong pretty much everything about his prediction against Pac. And when he realize he's wrong, he makes excuses. Lol! Typical pac-hater.
Re: Pacquiao beating Hatton...I just don't see it
They say "a punch that you don't see coming will hurt you more". Well... Hatton will receive hundreds of them from Pacquiao. ;D

It doesn't change what he did before. Hatton is the best at Light-Welter & should Pac beat him there can be no arguments about him being p4p #1. Well least until PBF returns ;D

Come on man, this is the same bullshit that people always do. Yall guys like to discredit people's wins after they actually win. Let's not forget that Manny fought the #2 P4P fighter in the world before the Diaz fight, and won. Diaz was a light touch, and nobody knew that ODLH was gonna look that washed up. Manny is the #1 P4P fighter in the fighter IMO now that JoeCal is gone.
BTW, Hatton is a SERIOUS opponent. Hatton's only loss came to Mayweather and let's not forget that Manny has only fought above 130 TWICE!!!
Re: Pacquiao beating Hatton...I just don't see it
Actually I have Pac as # 1 and JMM as #2, but do not feel I or anyone that believes JMM is #2 is far off or should be called an idiot. The last 2 Pac fights have all been jokes. If Pac were to balloon to 155 and fight there several years then drop to welterweight he might be as zapped as ODLH against a younger faster fighter. Outside of Hopkins who has done this feat? Hopkins was able to because he was faster than his foes. But ODLH was supposed to outmuscle Pac losing weight ? What a ridiculous miscalculation. Now many are giving mighty props to Pac for capitalizing on a miscalculation vs ego maniac that made a bad calculation. I was very happy to see the greedy ODLH get beaten!! If Pac beats Hatton I see Pac remaining at #1. I feel Hatton is going to take a serious beating and will cut very easily causing stoppage. Hatton has lost his aura and straight foward fighting style will serve good for 3 rounds until he cuts. I still do not think Hatton has recovered from his loss to PBF . A light hitting safe win vs Paulie is hardly a gauge for stepping in against Pac. I have never been a follower of Hatton. I respect his win vs Kostya but question Kostya's desire prior to the fight and after the fight by not remaining in boxing. Hatton has anothe big name win against JLC also a fighter with little desire or decipline. Then I recall seeing him receive a gift vs a soft hitting Collazo. A fight he really lost! Just my opinion Hatton in no longer what he was or was made out to be! OVER RATED !!! Smart Pac camp knows this .......
I hope to see a miracle vs Pac, though ... But I feel boxing is now the WWF and stages events. The question is there more money to be made if Pac wins or loses?
Pac gains my respect with:
* JMM 3rd fight
* Fighting a dangerous hungry, fast and hard hitting prospect
* Fighting a veteran fighter on a winning streak not like his pattern of fighting fighters coming off a loss in their last or previous to last fight.
Re: Pacquiao beating Hatton...I just don't see it
As far as I can remember, you only come here to degrade Pac. What's up MOONO?:-X

I can't even see Pacquiao winning the fight. Hatton at 140 is a fucking monster. Pacquiao has the definite edge on handspeed but that's it IMO. What is heavily underrated about Hatton is his insane footspeed and footwork. His technique and quickness is how he's able to always be on you and mugging the shit out of you. Manny WILL NOT be able to sidestep Hatton like he did ODLH, he WILL NOT. Hatton is just as fast as Manny on his feet. The only reason that Hatton even lost to Floyd was because Floyd was able to frustrate Hatton with defense and Floyd used his "size" to bully Hatton when he got tired. Then Floyd just timed Hatton and caught him. Manny will not be able to do anything like that. Hatton won't try to box with him, Hatton will mug him, and I don't think Manny's ever seen that type of pressure. I just don't see how Manny will keep Hatton off of him and I see Hatton punishing Manny on the ropes. Quite honestly, I like Manny, but if Hatton trains properly and looks he has in the past, I really think Manny will get stopped. Can someone please tell me why they think Manny is such a favorite in this fight? Outside of saying something like "because he's P4P #1". Tell me how you envision Manny winning the fight.
I would not be surprised. Fortunatly for all the Pac groopies that dont know a lick of boxing he does have talent but he is not the best thing since sliced bread. He gets sick when he hears the name JMM.

MAB pac 1
mab won 8 straight fights before he was dismanteld by pac nad those where against good opponents. the metal thing on mabs head and the training camp fire is no excuse.
fighting a dangerous hungry young fighter. if im a champ i wouldnt dare to fight a nobody, this is boxing and anything can happen all it takes is just one punch. you dont even have to be skilled to win all you need is one punch. that wont be good for any boxers resume, to fight top opponents then lose to a nobody.
3rd fight with jmm, i want this fight to happen ive said this before. for me jmm has pacs number. pac clearly won the first fight the second one is a toss up they need to settle it on a third fight. jmm worked hard and is worthy of a third fight.
pac has done so much for boxing, now that the heavyweight division aint the same as before. he doesnt need to gain anyones respect anymore anyway.
