Are you off your F**king Meds!! where are these "brass knuckles" no one has shown anything this is my point and why I am getting pissed off no one has seen anything if he had taken out the padding and had plaster wrapped hands then hang the C**T but its not the case all they have said so far is that there are "elements of plaster"
So fucking what its not lead had wraps are fucking solid how much of a difference does this make this is all I want to know before they ban a great fighter for life
For the record I like Cotto and I wanted him to win that fight but he got his arse handed to him because of lack of stamina and punch power, nothing to do with wraps I also wanted to Mosley to win he did and I don't think from what I have seen the wraps would have made any difference
Quiet down please,
Tyson should have been banned to life for the ear thing, as for the rest, the other cheats you mention are no where close as dangerous as being hit repeatedly on the head with some plaster on the joints, these are VERY differents kind of cheat PLUS... low blows/head butts can be seen by a judge, the plaster doesn't, you're mixing a lot of different things together.
Also, read the reports, I've read at more than 2 places that they did retire 2 large stripes half hardened gray-ish color on both joints, if you've missed that one, I can't do much other than telling you to foster your researches again, I don't have the link under hands at the moment but they even did mention it today that it was Paris plaster substance. Thus said, I used to have a cast on my wrist once covering my hand, I did hit somebody on the face and he got knocked out cold and god knows I am far from being a super muscular man, normally it could have "hurted" the guy a little, nothing more but this time he saw cinderella, santa claus and frosty the snowman gathered together, yeah, it makes THE HELL of a difference and if you don't believe it once again, make some researches about it and please, stop denying what happened, ESPN, fightnews, TSN and RDs mentioned the plaster thing in his gloves, it ain't a banal and a misunderstanding at all.
If we are talking about a pillow fight and some c**t slips a brick in his pillow and starts taking heads off then I understand but thats not what were talking about
A properly wrapped hand is hard as fuck you punch someone with that and even you will knock them out, you add small pieces of plaster between the wrap and the knuckles and the wrapped had is still hard as fuck
I think he and his trainer have tried to gain an advantage with a bit of extra padding on the knuckle and for it they should be punished
But lets not go on like he's killed anyone or even tried to kill anyone
A fine and a short ban and lets all get back to fighting
Are you kidding me? That's the exact risk he took when he stepped into the ring with loaded wraps, and he gave no thought of what damage he could have inflicted on the other fighter. His total lack of respect for a human life is disgusting.
What, you'll only be happy if he hurts, or kills someone, and then it would be okay to punish him?
And who said it was small pieces of plaster, do you not pay attention to anything, it was BLOCKS of padding treated with plaster.
The moment he entered the ring, he and his trainer conspired to commit assault with a deadly weapon. And yes, that's exactly what loaded wraps are.
I'll tell you what, let's put you in a ring with a professional fighter that has loaded wraps, and let's take a chance that nothing will happen to you. What do you say, are you up to that? I'm sure we can arrange it.
Geez, how do you drive with your head up your a$$.

So where the f**k are these dangerous wraps why are they not being displayed around for all to see, because they had to be put under a stereomicroscope and X-ray flourescence spectrometer to find elements of plaster
Look if these wraps were so deadly why is it taking so long to prove
If these wraps prove to be deadly then fine lock him up but starting a witch hunt before he's been proved guilty is just biased and ignorant

When he's proven to be guilty? He's already been found guilty by the State of California, why do you think that his license was revoked?
And they did show one of the blocks at Margacheato's hearing, if you watched the video, you would have known that.
The State of California has these blocks, and one of the blocks was sent to their lab that does criminal investigations. Do you think that the only thing they have to do is analyze a hand wrap? I guess all the evidence from rapes and murder should have taken a back seat.
And what, did you expect them to use a magnifying glass to look at the evidence? If they had, then you would have screamed that they didn't do a good job of analyzing the evidence.
You really should do better research before you spout off nonsense.

Re: Inside Margaritos Hand Wraps
Well Diane all they said from every article i seen is that they found substances that could make it and they have not said the amount. If you have a article that says that there was a large amount and it was plaster, not signs or traces of plaster like ever article i have read says. Also sonny got a point how deadly is it because it did not seem it in Clotty and Williams fight they did not seem to feel any affect at all from it. I dont have a problem with him coming back next year he cheated he do time. But after he serves it i dont have a problem with him coming back.

Billy Collins, Jr after his fight with Luis Resto.
Panama Lewis is maybe the most notorious trainer of boxers in the modern history of a game which has never been stringent in its application of professional scruples.
He has been a fringe figure in big-time fighting for many years, but for a very good reason. He has been banned from boxing since serving a year's imprisonment after being found guilty of stripping the padding from the gloves of his fighter Luis Resto back in 1983. The result was a terrible, career-ending beating for an up-and-coming fighter named Billy Collins Jnr.
Collins was cut to pieces – the effect of Lewis's work was said to be that of a blackjack cracking against the victim's face – and soon afterwards took his life after a bout of drinking. Lewis, who at one point was Don King's trainer of choice when the promoter was in charge of Tyson's career – but it was a move even the then all-manipulative King could not swing – was also under suspicion of supplying an illegal stimulant to his fighter Aaron Pryor in an epic victory over Alexis Arguello. Lewis had been heard to tell a fellow corner man who was offering Pryor water: "Not that bottle, the one I mixed." It was claimed that it contained club soda, honey and schnapps.

sonny78, what did you want people to do taste it for samples of plaster. lol it had to be taken to a lab to make 100 % sure that it was plaster. Now you have the proof and yet you are still in denial?
Can you tell the following wraps have plaster?
http://img.alibaba.com/photo/1010971...c_Products.jpg
Well they do. I am no expert but Shane's doctor was there and he said straight up that the bricks found were of the same material they use in hospitals to make casts.
Here are the bricks
http://i43.tinypic.com/14u8hld.png
Now these might seem small to you but there are many layers of this plaster wrap to make a decent brick when wet.
Can you tell with the naked eye that these have plaster in them? LMAO @ you wanting it to be passed around so everyone can look at them. ;D Ever hear of contaminating the evidence?
Re: Inside Margaritos Hand Wraps
There comes a time when you have to stop defending the indefensible. Third party authorities found elements of plaster in the wraps? That’s good enough for me.
To those that are arguing about the “elements” part… well, that’s how these things work. What did you expect, a full glove-shaped piece of plaster to fall out of the wraps?
“Your honor, my client is innocent of raping that victim.”
“And why is that, Mr. Defense Lawyer?”
“’Cause it only went halfway in, your honor.”
Also, the argument comparing using plaster in your handwraps with head-butting or hitting after the bell. C’mon… are you serious? Head-butting and hitting after the bell are fouls, alright. But fouls that are committed during the heat of the battle, and usually not aimed at maiming or possibly killing someone. Using plaster in your handwraps is a deliberate, pre-planned act, with dire, and possibly fatal consequences. What’s to compare?
I’ve read posts by ex-Margarito fans that own up to the situation, and state their disappointment in Margarito. THAT’S being an objective, true boxing fan. To defend the indefensible is just plain wrong.

I myself was rooting for Tony before the fight but when I learned about the plaster, I said phuk Tony and I was rooting for Shane, not only was I rooting for Shane, I wanted Shane to knock this mother phuker out for trying to cheat and pretending to be something he ain't. I got my wish and I hope I get my second wish in the rematch Margarita vs Cotto II and there is no doubt in my mind that Cotto will beat the shiet out of Tony this time. Poor Tony will be washed up soon as he just might have to go thru Cotto, or Shane again, or Williams or Clottey and just imagine poor Margacheater with out his plaster in his gloves? He will get killed before he ever beats any of these guys, let me tell you ;D I can see Tony getting his ass kicked for the rest of his sorry ass career. ;D

Danny, saying you were cheering for Tony before the Mosely fight is a lie. You wouldnt know the truth if it came in the form of a lion and mauled you. Everyone knows the veracity of your comments borders comical.
Re: Inside Margaritos Hand Wraps
C'mon guys, it was only calcium and sulfur in that gause. That is practically nothing without that rare other element needed...oxygen.
Re: Inside Margaritos Hand Wraps
right guys i was a huge toni fan before all this kicked off and i must say im really dissapointed that he used the wraps and should face the consequences. What i do object to is everyone saying he used them against cotto - there is no proof of this what so ever and if you watch the fight again - you will see cotto's offence was having no affect on toni at all - so i think the main reason cotto lost was that he was giving everything he had and looked confused towards the end of the fight as he was running out of steam and marg came in and finished him off. i know everyones going to disagree with me but its just the way i see it.

Whatever it was hes getting an advantage over Mosley a.k.a cheating and deserves a longer ban
