Re: Way faster than I expected
Arum said "we have everything in place to get it done but we’ve got to start now." Arum indicated "there is no reason why Pacquiao wouldn’t do the fight. He trains in the months of January and February and we are not doing a tour and doing only one press conference in New York at Madison Square Garden." He said Pacquiao can go into training in Baguio City or the Wild Card gym in Los Angeles.
Arum said "I am not here to interfere with his political life and March 13 doesn’t." He also made it clear that if Pacquiao "let’s Mayweather off the hook now by not agreeing to the March 13 date because of politics here in this country then we are never going to get him (Mayweather) in the ring. We will give him the excuse to say ‘yeah I’ll fight anybody but look at this Pacquiao."
Pacquiao-Mayweather: March 13 or Bust Says Bob Arum - Boxing News
Arum is really pushing for March, he's backing his own guy into a corner on it. That tells you all you need to know about this fight.
Re: Way faster than I expected
I'm not seeing the big deal about when Pac wants to fight...
Pacquiao actually does something else with his life, besides throw money around on pointless materialistic crap, not pay taxes, brag about his crib being paid for, and pretend to give back to the community.
If pac wants to wait until september or december then so what... It's better then not fighting Mayweather at all...
I would love for the fight to happen in Jan, feb, march, apr, may, etc etc... But If Manny actually wants to do something else with his life in the mean time, then i think we all should respect that. He's fought his ass off time and time again and he is #1 P4P, everyone needs to chill out.
I will change my above statements if Pac choses not to take the fight at all.. But i think most of this is speculation anyways...
PACQUIAU WINS VIA UD COME FIGHT NIGHT... Unless "Money" decides to trade shots then Pac late TKO...

Mayweather is pretty much the first opponent Pacquiao would have faced that didn't have some kind of question mark around him coming into the fight. Pacquiao has a nice little charade going on right now with the media and the naive Boxing fans. Mayweather ruins that.
and you want him to fight mayweather after 3 months of fighting cotto? who gives a rats about what you say. you're a pac hater to begin with.
WTF? 3 months? Mayweather said they can do it in May! & Pacquiao is still saying no, if these reports are correct.
No more excuses. If these reports are correct Pacquiao is definitely avoiding this fight. Mayweather agreed to the conditions and even gave Pacquiao the option to pick one of 2 dates his people negotiated and still Pacquiao says no, if these reports are correct.
If this fight does not happen between March to May, it's because Pacquiao is avoiding it. Plain & simple.
you know whats going on in may. pbf knows how to play that game to make pac look like hes avoiding him. may is the election month in the philippines. i wanna ask you something. did you read the contract that mayweather signed about dates, purse split, fight venue? if you havent seen it then you cant accuse pac of avoiding.
Re: Way faster than I expected
i just want to say that there is no contract signed between the two and we have yet to find out the agreement of anything in the contract. we cant say who ducking who because the fight is not even official yet. was there a press conference yet? did anybody sign anything yet? all we are reading right now are just speculations.

Your not from the Philippines so obviously you don't know anything about Pacman's plan in running into politics. It is well known here that he has plan to enter the political arena (again) even before the Pacman vs Cotto fight. And articles have been written about this locally and abroad. So its no surprise that he does not want to fight on March or May.
Pacman is not avoiding a fight with Mayweather. He is just simply saying lets fight on another date.
Thats neither here nor there. His people (Arum) negotiated those 2 dates and Mayweather agreed to them. Even Roach said he wants the fight to happen on May 1st.
The fact is the negotiations happened and only one signature sits on the contract, Mayweather's. And now Pacquiao's lawyer is saying Pacquiao won't fight.
"Trainer Freddie Roach has confirmed BoxingScene.com's big scoop over the weekend, Manny Pacquiao may move up to 154-pounds to target a world title shot against undefeated WBA champion Yuri Foreman. Foreman and Pacquiao are both promoted by Top Rank. Roach, who will be in Amir Khan's corner this Saturday, told British press that Floyd Mayweather Jr. doesn't want to fight Pacquiao in March, and
Manny doesn't want to wait until May or June to fight again - likely due to a possible election run as noted earlier by BoxingScene's Ronnie Nathanielsz."
But now it's "Hey, lets wait until September after all"
One person is making this a difficult fight to make, one person is slowly revealing this fight may not happen...And it's not Mayweather.
From PhilBoxing.com
Excerpts:
-------
Arum met with Pacquiao at the New World hotel in Makati City Friday in the presence of only one other person – Pacquiao adviser Michael Konz. Arum said “I had a meeting this morning and we went over all the points and now I have to go back to the United States and sit with the Mayweather people and finalize some very minor aspects and then we’ll have an announcement sometime next week.
--------
The ball is now back to the Mayweathers. If this fight thus not push thru it not because of Pacquiao.
