No, what you did was discredit a fighter and picked holes in his resume and tried to discredit his career. This can be done with any fighter.

I like the logic here.
Mayweather, who has yet to lose a fight, could be in big trouble if he doesnt hit as hard as Cotto. Good stuff.
Did I say in my post that Manny will win the fight if Mayweather does not hit harder than Cotto? Read again. I did not see the logic in your response.
Manny can definitely hurt Floyd and if Floyd can not hurt Manny, then he will be in a lot of trouble.
Someone's face can be busted and yet wins the fight.
You are basing the first part of that thought on your oppinion. It is not yet proven that Manny can hurt Floyd. And your name (InTheNeutralCorner) I find to be a bit misleading, as it seems to suggest you bring a neutral point of view when in reality you are clearly a Pac fan since a long time ago. ;) Which isnt a problem... just that you arent neutral.
Did Manny hurt Dela Hoya, Hatton or Cotto? I don't think that Floyd can sustain punches better than any of these three (maybe one?). The question is, how many punches will Floyd sustain? I give Floyd credit for his excellent defense and does not think that he will be hit as much but he will definitely be hit.
I asked the question as to who hits harder, whether it's Cotto or Mayweather, for the reason that since Manny absorbed the hits from Cotto will little effect, if Floyd does not hit as hard, then Manny will be more aggressive in attacking knowing that he can take the blows. But I did not say in any of my post that Manny will surely beat Floyd. It's hard to tell but I am giving the edge to Manny.
(ninjaspy3) I find to be definitely misleading. Are you a ninja and a spy?

Again...questions and arguments being evaded. I didn't discredit his career. I questioned the quality of his last few wins. I questioned whether he has the skill set or ability to beat Mayweather. I already stated he has a better resume than Floyd. Some of just don't blindly worship fighters and illogically think they can beat anyone.

Sure if you want to play that game about questioning the guy's last few wins. Let's do it with Floyd then.
De La Hoya- 34 years old, past his prime and mainly inactive during that time.
Hatton-Fought at 147 against Floyd, prior to that he looked like crap moving to 147.
Marquez-Went life and death at 135 against Diaz and Casamayor, so he was bound to look like crap fighting at the welterweight division and at 36 years old.
Mosley-38 1/2 years old with a 16 month layoff.
It's pretty easy ain't it to pick holes in a guy's wins?
And I already said that I favor Floyd in a matchup against Pacquiao, but ain't it easy to discredit a guy's victories?

The difference is that Mayweather has fought the number 2 and 3 p4p people in his last 2 wins, Hatton nor Cotto was anywhere near that :)

I agree with this of p4p numbers but its debatable coz Marquez was not the same size of Mayweathers as p4p (welters).

Did Shane hurt a younger DLH and a not shot Cotto?
Shane hits harder then Pacquiao at 147 I don't see Pacquiao knocking out Margarito.
Anyway, you don't think that Mayweather can withstand punches then a drained DLH or a shot Cotto or a Hatton that Floyd had already disposed of?
Why is that?
And Clottey hurt Cotto for crying out loud after Margarito.

cotto was p4p top 10 or 20 when pacquiao fought him and cotto has a win on no. 3 (shane). how do you explain that?
imo pacquiao's win over hatton, cotto and clottey is bit greater (or equal) to floyd's win over jmm and shane.
Re: Pac's not ready for Floyd....
I think some people are missing the point. I have never been one to defend Floyd's resume. And this argument has nothing to do with Pac's resume vs. Floyd's. It has to do with who has trouble with what style. When I said previously that i don't personally over hype Pac's last several wins...i don't mean to imply he deserves no credit for his victories. But i think people get blinded by the fact that he fought "bigger" guys. I think Roach smartly picked the right guys at the right times. Pac deserves credit for finishing the job. But ultimately...Pac's best opponent has been Marquez. And Marquez showed that a skilled counter puncher can give Pac fits. I am not a huge Floyd fan. But he is clearly a more skilled and more adaptable fighter than Pac. Pac will also not have the speed and stamina advantages he had over guys like Cotto, Oscar, and Hatton. Mayweather will do everything Marquez did...except much better.
Re: Pac's not ready for Floyd....
I hear what your saying but theres no way anyone can say that pac isnt fast, hes so genetically gifted its not even funny and his speed is what seperates him from the rest, this thread is just daft imo how can you say just because hes in the ring with slower fighters it makes him look fast? lets put you in the ring with hatton and see if it makes hatton look like flash fucking gordon lol. manny is fast and i think itll be a long time before we see another fighter matching his speed tbh.
