Re: Is Amir Khan ready to become a legend?
Khan can be a legend, he is taking a puncher now and soon he will try and unify. he is going in the right direction so Khan needs some credit.

The main problem for Khan is he definitely has a weak chin but he knows that now and has improved around that fact. The very top fighters will expose his chin but I'm talking the level of Pac and Mayweather and I think Khan will totally school Maidana!
You're one of the people on this site who I considered has great boxing knowledge. I think he can be great also, in that he can have a Terry Norris type of career, and I'm not comparing their styles but their career, you know a guy that has great skills and was in the top 10 p4p list but the only weakness was the iffy chin.
I don't think Khan will be a legend, that is reserved for the Durans, Leonards, Haglers, Chavezs, Pacquiaos, and Mayweathers.

I agree. He can be a star, but legend is pushing it. I'd never say never (even though i just have...twice) but it's unlikely. He'll get tagged at some point and he'll be under a lot of pressure at some point. He's got a great team around him and i think he's very naturally talented and fast, but it's fat too early to tell, and who even knows what the competition is going to be like over the coming years...
I do think we'll see him fighting in a very similar style to Pacquiao...albeit orthadox. High pressure/workrate/volume, very fast hands, very good foot speed, average defence. I do think he's more polished than Pacquiao was at 23, but that's not a strong enough indicator to suggest that he'll come close to matching him.
