Re: What do you do for a living?
Got called back for a second interview. They say they have narrowed it down to three. The first interview was just a 30 min deal with 4 people shooting questions. Now, I'm going back to see 4 people separately 1 on 1 style. At least one of them is technical and I just have to sit under the light. (They had all these buzz words in their add but when I shot questions at them they weren't doing any of that new stuff.) The others supposedly want to see how I come across the disciplines in the office and get a feel for my personality. I've never seen this approach before. I'm trying to keep my hopes down but I think if I don't get the offer I still be really bummed. I've got a week to think about this one.

Good luck.
Re: What do you do for a living?
I have no career. I've just moved around a couple of jobs. I'm 27 and I have no clue what I actually want to do with my life.
I graduated with a degree in Health Sciences. I started out as a Health Inspector, then I was transferred to a different department and worked as a Senior Health Advisor. I quit, then got a call from an old friend and took a job as a Warehouse Supervisor at a kitchen and bathroom cabinet distributor. I quit that because upper management ruled with an iron fist and I worked 60+ hours a week without any overtime compensation. I've been a collegiate volleyball coach during all those jobs and now that's all I'm really doing until I find something else that interests me.
Financially, I'm doing fine. I made a smart investment in a business years ago and it's been paying me out and my wife also makes way more money than I ever did working any of those previously mentioned jobs, JACKPOT!
Re: What do you do for a living?
I think I did mentioned this in some other thread. I'm a concept artist/designer. Meaning I'm part of the pre-production crew that lays out the visual look for video games and movies, be it animated or otherwise. I only work about once per year since '07 because I make very good money on just one job and just spend the rest of the year enjoying myself, although that one job I might be working anywhere between 3-6 months at 10-12 hour days, but nonetheless I enjoy what I do immensely.
Some of you here may even watched a movie or played a video game where I was part of the development team.

What movies and what games have you helped develop? I'm curious now. That sounds like an awesome job!

I'm always around reading up on posts. I just don't reply as often. The main boards have gotten a lot more peaceful since hornfinger got banned.

He'll be back at some point, but I suspect it won't be for long.

You should have known his mother was dead considering he is like 87 years old.
