I thought Kermit showed some cojones coming out for the final round, I felt sorry for him, you can't say the guy doesn't have courage. I agree Diane, time for Kermit to pack it in..

He's a super nice guy and showed some heart tonight for sure, and has in the past against Margarito and Angulo.

But, he's also an underachiever and lately has looked like he's lost his desire for boxing. I think he had one foot out the door tonight going into this fight with Alavarez.

I'm one of the few Cintron fans around, but I think the guy needs to pack it in too. I don't think his heart was in it tonight either. As soon as he started to get hit, he seemed incredibly uncomfortable, even for him. When he got dropped for the first time, it looked like part of him wanted to keep going and part of him wanted to quit. He looked like he was freaking out in his corner afterwards too.

Hopefully he's made enough money that he can set up whatever kind of 2nd career he wants.

Yeah, that's what I figure too, the desire isn't there, and he was just there picking up a payday, and/or hoping he might get lucky. Thing is, Cintron can't compete with the big dogs, he's just been getting title shots off his name, and been done for a long time.

Whether you like Canelo or not, he's fun to watch, and I can see him being in some great fights down the road.

If he really wants to be known as one of the best of all time, which I doubt he does, he'll fight (and beat) Pacquiao and then move on to Martinez or Alvarez.
