Soaps are evil and I would say need to be banned, but I know that would get me cast in an authoritarian light. Instead, I argue that they need to be reduced to about 3 minutes per episode and the rest of the time be replaced by me talking about topics that are on my mind. It would differ daily and currently plastic bags are weighing heavy on my mind, but I could discuss other topics too like favorite films, politics, my loathing of the Royal family, tell people how I use my rowing machine, etc. I could even get one episode where I get a haircut and simultaneously talk about what I read in the bath. Anything except these soaps which are not educating people. I could even show types of soap and shower gel whilst actually in the bath.

I don't really do soaps but the Eastenders live thing was pretty unavoidable as it was all over social media. I watched the last episode where Jane walked in after Bobby battered Lucy.
It was same old same old soap shite but it did have one moment of interest. I thought everyone in Eastenders worked in Albert Square, not true. That prostitute who Ian banged by the council lock ups definitely plies her trade off of Albert Square. She is a pioneer slag. Even when Janine was a slag she had a flat on Albert Square that was covered in giz.
