Re: The other May 5th Card: Huck v. Afolabi; Dimitrenko v. Pulev
So it was a draw? If so that means Huck retains his WBO cruiserweight title, that's almost as good as a win.
I would have watched this fight but it's typical of Rant-cat to post a thread about a fight, then not come back to remind us of when it's on, or show up for the fight thread. :-X

I'm just glad that spencer guy didn't get to cry robbery since even he had huck up at the end.....
I think the only person who may be hinting at a robbery is Huck, but I think it was close enough for a draw to be a reasonable result.
The most important thing is that everyone should be asking for the rematch of such an epic fight!
a rematch would be awesome but hucks only 27 but how long can he fight with such a bruising style??? I have a feeling he will be old way before his time

I like Pulev over Dimitrenko as well.
Corley will give McCloskey a hard fight IMO.
Rafael Marquez is fighting Saturday in Tijuana. His opponent is Kenichi Yamaguchi.
I'll take a shot in the dark and say Villanueva beats Yordan.
Corley upsets McCloskey
Quote:
The upset run of former world jr welterweight champion DeMarcus “Chop Chop” Corley (39-20-1, 22 KOs) continued Saturday when Corley stopped recent world title challenger Paul McCloskey (23-2, 12 KOs) in round ten on Saturday night at Kings Hall in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Corley staggered McCloskey and had him battered, bloody and dazed when referee Ian John-Lewis waved it off at 2:28. The 37-year-old Corley upset then-unbeaten Gabriel Bracero (18-0) in his last fight to end a six fight losing streak.
Had a feeling it would be close. Also I heard Yordan beat Villanueva in a barnburner.

Seems like i'm the only guy who had Ola winning?
I thought Afolabi owned rounds 1-5 then won 10&11. 7-5 Afolabi for me. I have absolutely no problem with a draw though obviously.

I normally try to watch Huck's fights, he entertaining, but I was busy doing some yard work today and didn't get in or see this thread until after the fight was over.
As for my Sig, I doubt that Sharpova knew that this pic would end up all over the internet, she looks so innocent. ;)
I think it's hilarious, and it's easy to imagine that banana being something else.
