Re: Hatton to fight Senchenko
I disagree that Katsidis is more dangerous, he is on a bad losing run and has never fought at WW. He is a bigger name and would have made for a fun fight, but I think Hatton garners more serious respect by fighting Senchenko. Hatton really isn't cutting any corners with this and it is fascinating.

Ricky should fight Juan Manuel Marquez....but I think he's just going to aim for Amir Khan and call it a day

I had pretty much said the same thing, but in different words.
It'll probably be accepted better by one or two of our colleagues, coming from a fellow UK'er.
;)

This idea works for me, he's playing it safe with Senchenko for the time being though.
Re: Hatton to fight Senchenko
Marquez in a first comeback fight is just insanity. We have no idea what shape Hatton will be in, it is unlikely he will be at his best. Tyson post jail had slipped significantly, Hatton post booze and ballooning will likely have difficulties too. You don't come off of a long layoff and immediately fight the very best. It's rare that that ever happens.
Hatton is fighting a former champ at WW, even that is potentially too ambitious.
Re: Hatton to fight Senchenko
He looks to be in great shape and apparently close to 147 already.

Hatton needs to make sure he doesn't overdo it. It's odd seeing him look so trimmed down this far out. It's good in that he can focus more on skills, but I don't want any of that 'I left in the gym' stuff.

Not sure how close he is to 147 but he does look a little lean early.
Re: Hatton to fight Senchenko
One might forgive him if he slipped into maccas for a couple of burgers?
