He is very ignorant in his use of language and his views are racist. He is Rock Newman type who has found some limelight through his son. Shame as his son is a good fighter.

He's Camacho reincarnated with someone else taking the punches for him and his mouth. If Lucas sparks his kid, this will be one of those cosmic jokes you tell your grandkids about....or talk up at the bar/pub....
"After he knocked his opponent out anyway, the reporters asked him how he managed to stay focused and ignore all the negative taunts and derogatory comments coming from the opposing trainer? and he said easy, I didn't speak the language. I had no idea what he was saying..."
The question is, if that happens will Angel man up, shut his mouth and walk over and shake Matthysse's and Sarmiento's hand? Well before he cuts his own head off anyway..
This is the fight I'm looking forward to the most. I don't a shit about the Mayweather/Canelo fight, because I don't like either of them, and can only pray to the boxing gods that they knock each other out at the same time.
Anyway, back to the subject. I like both fighters, so I hate that one of them has to lose, of course there could always be a draw, but I doubt that. I see Danny winning the early rounds, since Lucas usually starts off a little slow, but Danny has never been hit by someone with Lucas' power, and I see Lucas slowly breaking him down, and winning by tko.
If I was Danny, I would tell his Dad to stfu. Danny seems like a nice, humble guy, but his dad is such a fucking asshole that it makes people dislike Danny, and hoping that he gets knocked out. The father seems likes he's always trying to steal the spotlight from his son. A good father, would put his son first, and not put his son in the line of fire.
When you've got a system you stick to your system. Memphis with his lucky round picks is living a charmed life at the moment.
i had it 113-113 .... 5-1 Mathhyse after 6 , and 5-1 Garcia in the other half
Danny fought a helluva composed and disciplined fight. I think he was rattled a couple times and was juggling hand grenades on the ropes a few times but each time a small tide shift occurred he dug down. Matthysse straight punching and body attack was inconsistent early and Garcia exploited the eye nicely. Both did themselves proud but Danny held a game plan from start to finish and did a little growing up in there.
Garcia is a bit too fond of punching people in the balls. Many other fighters would gave complained more about that and the rabbit punching so fair play to Mattheysse. That said Garcia fought well and made it more comfortable than I thought he would. If Lucas had both eyes though he could have pulled enough of the close rounds out of the bag to win or at least draw.
I thought Garcia won (just) but thought he did so more by outfoxing/messing Mattheysse with the low blows and holding and whatnot. He showed a great chin and took advantage of the eye.
i was banging on all week how garcia was such a good bet
i never ended up putting my money where my mouth was tho, pity
A draw? :o
Really? :-\
Personally, I thought Garcia boxed his arse off....
I didnt watch this one properly, was drifting in and out of sleep. I blame the alcohol and Ishe Smith.
Anyway, I liked Garcia, more controlled, more purpose about what he was doing. Matthysse looked a bit clueless to be honest, groping forward without much thought. I dont know if Garcia cracked him good early or if he gave him a bit too much respect, I find the latter hard to believe to be honest.
The knockdown was tough on Matthysse I thought. Perfectly legit but a large part of it was him having nowhere else to go but down.
Matthysse's route to winning the fight was to fight from the start like he did in the later rounds when he had two good eyes. He didnt, he lost.
Fair play to Garcia. He showed a pair. He genuinely looked horrified at the prospect of facing Matthysse when he splatted Petereson.
