I can't believe the otherwise intelligent people on this forum are arguing with this character over Floyd. I've quoted this particular post as the quintessential example of who you are all arguing with here. Don't get me wrong, I find it great comic relief, as I truly enjoy poking fun at the young man.
Let's be real here. Anybody who would call Floyd a "visionary" of anything, isn't playing with a full deck. Then he goes on to say... "by working towards improving it...". I'm confused. Are we talking about Mandela now? I'm telling you.... if Rocco doesn't already have a job in politics, maybe he should. The guy shovels the shit by the truckload without blinking an eye. "Floyd has shown himself to be a leader in the sport"..... another side-splitter. Floyd? Leader?? Damn... I must've been watching a double every time he was supposedly being interviewed on TV. But Rocco saves the best for last......
"One that is concerned with more than just money and fame and his own legacy, but the health and welfare of his fellow athletes."
Wow!! Let's just sit here and let that sink in for awhile. "Money" is concerned with more than just money! Wow!! No, no..... this dude has officially left the reservation. Are you kidding me? Johnnie Cochran ain't got nothing on this guy. Floyd is not just concerned with money and fame, but with "the health and welfare of his fellow athletes". I guess I must've missed all the speaking engagements where Floyd has mentioned any of these topics. Maybe he's waiting until he's retired, huh?
Forget the Hall of Fame.
Floyd should be dusting off a place on his gold-plated mantle for the Nobel f*cking Peace Prize!!!!

Makes me laugh when people say Floyd is a fraud. He's been on the P4P list since 1998, and is a five weight world champion. He's no fraud.
TBH, the only reason Khan and Thurman MIGHT be competitive is because Floyd is 38. A prime Floyd beats Thurman, Khan, Brook, and Porter on the same night.

That's a hell of an accomplishment if you think about it.
I know people say p4p doesn't mean anything, but to be considered one of boxing's greatest current talents for like 16 years straight is something really special.

That is why he chose Berto? TBE should fight the best fighters available. Stop making excuses for the fraud.
Re: The Thread To End All Thread's About Floyd Mayweather
Floyd is the reason that there is an increased effort to catch PED cheats through random testing. He, by demanding that his fight with Pacquiao be a clean fight with random drug testing in advance, brought the PED issue to the attention of the public. Now many other fighters are voluntarily submitting themselves to random testing to prove they are clean. It's a massive shift in the sport.

Still getting a very high pay cheque I say make the old man earn his pay by getting attacked by a young, hungry and ambitious fighter.

Floyd is a visionary and a humanitarian. Stop with the lack of respect for the great man.... and heed the words of Rocco, who points out that without Floyd the sport would still be in the Stone Age. His beating of women is just a front. In actuality Floyd is a wonderful human being... and boxing should be grateful Floyd has graced it with his presence.

Forget that! Floyd should pay us for watching his boring ass, safety first and running which he calls boxing. His entourage are just brown nose sheep who follow him.

Pathetic effort. I expect more from you. :appl:
...but I guess like your hero Tito, you fall a bit short, and are ultimately a disappointment.

Well I must admit..... I don't own a pair of monogrammed kneepads as you do.
But the word "disappointment" is a bit more fitting for someone like Floyd.
To think...... you worship a man who were it not for his boxing abilities would be nothing more than a common thug.
He's a woman beater... can't talk worth a damn... and has to buy whatever friends he's got.
To top it off.... he's got a style most of the boxing world doesn't like.... and most people tune into his fights in the hopes he gets his ass whipped.
Yeah buddy..... I'll stick with my own "heroes".
They're much easier to defend.
BTW... when did you take me off ignore?
I was rather enjoying the lack of attention.

Well they say the world is run by old white men... boxing is the area that's run by an old black man!

Oscar and Hopkins both made Trinidad look ordinary. I think Floyd would have embarrassed him.
Trinidad was one-dimensional.
