Re: whats your best punch
I'm not sure it's normal you know - girls and boys are not meant to be too different in strength until much older and 100 lb sounds too much for any average 5 year old - still I'm not an expert on kids - Scrap or Lords Gym would know .......
Your wife must be a lot shorter than you to only weigh 100 lb!

My wife is 5'2" and around 99 - 101 lbs. Strength is something not uncommon in my family. Not from my fathers side but my mothers side. My uncle Jim (lord rest soul)was extreamly powerful. He won the punt pass and kick for 12 year old when he was 10. I seen him carry a short block (a block with just crank rods and pistons no heads or manifolds)455 olds bigblock across the back of the garage and that is a very heavy block around 450lbs. My sister in high school was 5'7" and was 130lbs and could bench 155 easy. I was benching 300 lbs at a 170lbs and alot shorter... 5'9"(junior highschool). My highest ever was 355 and 405 on a decline and I think his genetics are more freakish than mine or my sisters. My dad said I was never that strong at that age.He could lift her up like that when he was 4 . If this is true that kid is gonna swat like a bear.

Re: whats your best punch
Righ uppercut from the southpaw stance, even though I'm not a southpaw.
Re: whats your best punch
I used to have a pretty tough left hook- I grew up watching Olivares and all those guys fight in LA- but since I got sick and all I just cannot find it anymore. That fluidity and smoothness, the timing and force just ain't there any more.
My straight right hand, however, is about 80% better than I have ever thrown it. Same with my straight left- technically a "jab", as I'm orthodox in stance, but if you get the feet and hand/arm working together, its a "straight left"
Re: whats your best punch
Right Hook! BANG, and your out.
Re: whats your best punch
my main game plan is to get you on the ropes, push off with my left hand and then hit you with left and right body shots, as I switch footing a la Ricky Hatton. (He's who I learned it from.) Then I'll catch you with a short left hook and an over-the-top right hand.

Left Cross / Right Hook (Southpaw, of course)
Re: whats your best punch
jab then hurry snap a left hook to the body
Re: whats your best punch
Right uppercut to the body probably.
Re: whats your best punch
Actually im going reply to this topic, again and say it depends on the opponent.

My straight right has greatly developed after recovering from shoulder injury....It is now my best punch, but is closely rivalled by the LH
