I dont think anyone is debating Khan ducking Brook. Ive said it for years along with most on the forum. But if Garcia vacates it looks a clear duck to me. Porter and Thurman would be acceptable but arent available. Either is Pac or Bradley and that only really leaves Spence, Vasquez, Peterson or Vargas. Spence and Vasquez be very good fights but couldnt see Garcia taking them and Peterson and Vargas step down from Khan imo.
If you read the statement from Angel Garcia, and my post above, Garcia won't be vacating.
Maidana - was a good win, probably his best. Still nearly managed to lose it in the 10th, but he won, good win.
Judah - with all due respect everybody decent beats Judah, don't they?
Peterson - I thought it was pretty even, but the points deduction swung it Peterson's way. Agree or disagree with the points deductions , but I'd hardly call it a robbery. You have to remember , that before the fight , people thought it was a pretty routine and easy defence. So even if he won a close fight, it's hardly a great performance.
Collazo - I won't bore you with my views on that one.
Alexander - never been known as a puncher and he is not a top level fighter .he was at one time, but not when Khan beat him.

Khan will not try to stop him this time, that was where he went wrong last time. With Virgil, it is points victory.
This is the main change.
Virgil hunter.
Khan is undefeated with virgil..he will possibly outbox garcia this time by boxing smart...garcia and angel don't really want this fight.
Well Garcia is undefeated with his Dad. They wanted the fight before, they said exactly how Khan would get beat, and they want the fight again and their gameplan will be the same and the result will be the same, IF Khan actually goes ahead with it.
Garcia does not want this fight and I would not be shocked to see him vacate than take this fight. I think Khan wins a rematch easily. He could win a shut out if he doesnt stop Garcia. Only way Garcia can win is by KO and I dont thin he'll catch Khan this time.
I think you might be right.
Angel Garcia on Amir Khan: ‘Why would we fight Khan?’ - Ring TV
I'm not sure how you read the article and put that spin on it?
Put what spin on it? They don't want the fight written in black and white is hardly spin.
This is what was said.
"I don’t see nothing there,” Garcia told RingTV.com. “(If they fight) it’s going to be a repeat of the same thing again.
Danny will knock Khan out. I’m not underestimating him but…I don’t want to get into the WBC politics."
Also..........
" We’re not trying to go on bad terms with nobody,” Garcia said of the WBC. “Were not trying to do that.
Why would you be the champ and then vacate the belt? That’s disrespecting the boxing world. If we have to do it then we have to do what we have to do. But I’m just saying I don’t see nothing there for me. (But)
we’re not going to run from anybody. We’re not scared of (Khan).”
That tells me he isn't going to duck Khan.
That's what i saw written in Black and White, what did you see?
Which all spells they don't want to fight him again. Its them that are producing the spin.

Excuse me but khan has beat x3 good welterweights already and completely schoooooooled alexander! His only notable victory was against Maidana.
Khan has had much better competition than brook. AGREED. but Khan has also lost to some as well. Besides, this was about Khan and Garcia. Absolutely right that Brook needs to fight a top level guy, but there's no doubt that he wants Khan more than Khan wants him.
Khan is the A side fighter and can dictate the figures.
Brook is the Champion, Khan has never been a champion at this weight and Infact hasn't been a World Champion for years. If Brook has the balls to hijack the Khan v Garcia fight and fight Garcia to unify, Khan would be fucked. Who exactly would Khan fight?
Khan would then be the "Z side" !

He just picked up Floyds vacant belt and lets not forget that this is the WBC. Garcia might not have to vacate. They might also believe that Floyd might just come back to regain that belt if Garcia remains its owner. Someones 0 has to go. I doubt Floyd fights at 147 again but I'm not the WBC. They could know something nobody else does. The WBC seems to almost protect certain fighters and find them ways out of obligations because it increases their coffers. Garcia is one of them. He got away with some junk when he was their140 champ.
Its funny because imo Khans got a better chance of beating Floyd then he does Garcia, Its a style thing. Floyds not coming to get Khan.

You could be right they may allow A voluntary defence or Floyd return which leaves Khan the bridesmaid again.
Re: Danny Garcia vs Amir Khan, ordered By WBC!
Sign me up for the "I Don't Like Khan" club.
Whatever he brings to the ring, it's totally overshadowed by the incessant and completely nauseating whining he did, pining for Floyd. Sounded like a hissy high school girl who was stood up for the prom. Used every amateur psychology trick in the book to try and entice Floyd to fight him. Convinced Floyd had dumped him for good, he then made bogus claims about having landed a deal with Pacquaio without it actually being true. I also truly believe he has absolutely zero interest in facing Brook in the ring.
Khan's exciting to watch, only now I hope to see him flattened.
Re: Danny Garcia vs Amir Khan, ordered By WBC!
I believe Khan is avoiding Brooks but if Garcia gates the title then he is clearly ducking Khan.

Yeah that's it. Great comeback............
Look Khan is his mandatory for a belt he just won. So he has to fight him and just do the same thing again. There is no reason for overcompensating. Just go do it again and move on. Real simple and collect a nice cheque in the process. Easy work.
Re: Danny Garcia vs Amir Khan, ordered By WBC!
Khan bust up Garcia like no one else has and would have stopped him mid way if the fight carried on as it did until Khan got wreckless and got hurt. I think those memories affect Garcia's dad who knows with the new trainer Khan is unlikely to make the same mistake twice.

Not sure what people are arguing about. Its pretty clear that what his dad is saying is that they really don’t see any point in fighting Khan again and one does not need a degree from Oxford or vocabulary of Dickens to figure that out, What is also clear is that they just fought for a title that was vacated and knew full well that the next challenger in line was Khan. It makes no difference whether he beat him before or not at 140. Khan has fought his way to the mandatory position for the tin he now holds. This is boxing. People lose and then fight their way back and have for 150 years. He's not Floyd. He got his old title but not the privilege afforded to him based on fight receipts to pick his opponents.
Why would a guy vacate a belt he just won because he does not see the need to fight a guy he already ko'd?

Very good question . Answer....
He wouldn't vacate his belt. That's what his Dad said in that interview. HE WOULDN'T VACATE THE BELT!
Lets see, action speak louder than words.

So let's get this right......
So he never said DG would vacate?
And he never said he was scared of Khan?
But we should look past what he said and make our own spin on it . Ah, ok then.
Re: Danny Garcia vs Amir Khan, ordered By WBC!
Khan versus Gercia is worth whatever Haymon is willing to pay for it. Seeing as both guys are signed to Haymon and so nobody else can bid up the fight Haymon can probably pay about $2.5 million split in Garcia's favour and that's it.
If Khan loses, and it's definitely possible he gets timed/chinned again, he has to have at least one rebuilding fight and hope Brook keeps winning in the meantime before he can go for the payday. And he may not get more than 50/50 with another loss. Another loss knocks the fight's PPV/ticket marketablility in Britain too.
The WBC would be fine letting Khan/Garcia both have one fight more before they fight each other. Money talks. Is Khan really going to risk his biggest career payday to fight Garcia for a nettage of around half a million quid? He's not getting any younger, he's obviously after big money fights and as he gets older and his time without a belt gets longer is he really going to keep ignoring the big money fight he can have?
