Save that victim card Lyle you know you've got more roots and rope here than most. You are the last to walk on egg shells and that's not what it's about, even the simplest even well intentioned thread needs to turn into a spammed up redundant click bate fest trying to drive a political point, conspiracy or shit radio show home. This began as a decent thread, posters immediately impacted..now we're here. Same topic, multiple threads.
I'm not seeking special treatment and I'm not playing the victim card, I just want to understand what is and isn't acceptable because obviously the
"Anything & everything goes" Off Topic decree is a misnomer or else people wouldn't be getting so touchy about what is posted.
Terrorist attacks are aggravating....tragic, yes every single fucking time it's a tragedy when someone does something like what happened in Manchester, please I am sorry, excuse me if I or anyone else feels a bit frustrated about these goings on. I had wished and hoped and prayed that 9/11 was the first and last of it....apparently not. Now if people get to talking about how the problem could be solved or mitigated or lessened and they disagree should that not be allowed? Is this not the place? If not, then where? If all you want this thread to be is a #thoughtsandprayerswithManchester #Manchesterstrong kind of thread then let me know I'll back out of this thread and start a different one altogether.....would a 'The Latest Terrorist Attack' thread in the super secret section of the forum be better? If so just let me know and I'll confine my comments re terrorist attacks to that single thread. All you have to do is say "Yes, I would appreciate that" and I'd do it.
Same topic multiple threads happens on the main board too....again, YOU are a Mod, YOU have the power to merge, delete, move threads....so why are you complaining? I certainly can't do any of those things and if I'm in one thread and someone gives me shit in another thread, then by God I'll answer it because communication between posters is the reason for the site to begin with. I'm not made at you, I'm just confused....if you just want to complain then complain, by all means, but, you actually have the ability to change things so I see your complaints as unnecessary.
My man at times if you were anymore condescending you'd set a record. Why are you acting so oppressed. I made a statement and I don't care if the name is blue, red or Pokka fookin dot that's what I'm here to do. Mod or not mod that's what we do but you immediately you see fit to tell me my abilities and read me rules when I said prior that's not what it's about? Nothing was put to you as a directive, you weren't shackled, muzzled or messaged in such manner so stop complaining yourself as to being told what's "acceptable and not acceptable". That didn't happen. I believe the words were "tired..longwinded..shit" in describing the repeated muslim rants and default posting of some hack media clips right off the bat. Ffs your first word on this one was a cartoon. We'll agree this murdering of innocents should never happen, cannot be allowed to happen but is a hellish shit reality today that needs immediate answers and the right heads to roll as a consequence. This has indeed run far off topic.

It's not a cheap political point to argue that things have gone horribly wrong and it is time for a change. Blair, Cameron and May have a lot in common and it would probably be good for everybody to give another option a try. Nobody wants to see people blown up in the West or the Middle East, the two are connected and it seems only Jeremy Corbyn is willing to raise this point. Ordinary people know it is true, but there is an agenda on the right to ignore it. They benefit from the terrorism, the wars and the loss of domestic freedoms. It is not a cheap political point, it is likely the crux of freedom in the West and peace in the world. The terrorist attack, the Tory plan to 'clean up the Internent', and cosy relations with regimes like Saudi Arabia, all allign far too closely for the liking of any sensible person and yet you have gullible people cheering it on having had their emotions ramped up by what has happened. The Tories are the ones using terrorism for political gain and all I suggest is that people see through it and give peace a chance.
Re: 22 dead in Manchester
5,000 soldiers on the streets having cut 20,000 police officers. The Tories have no idea what they are doing and to be simultaneously working with regimes that promote terrorism. Well, as Brock would say 'You couldn't make this shit up'.

your country with it's open door policy and it's Muslim apologist policy and it's paranoia of offending people allowed this guy's father to immigrate to England from Libya even though he was fighting for Al-Qaeda.... and your country's open door policy allowed him and his son to travel back and forth for training terrorist training and bomb-making training to Syria and back to Libya and then return to Great Britain to pull off this horrible attack. That is the only embarrassment here and it is caring more about not offending people then doing the right thing to protect people period and people want to talk about Muslim taxi drivers who helped out oh wow I am so blown away with that generosity wow

You cannot babysit everyone in a society. If that was the case they would likely take away your dummy. How about setting a good example to the world through a decent foreign policy that doesn't involve destroying entire regions and offering ways for people to integrate better. The UK is so bad at doing that that a lot of Brits feel alienated too. It makes them do things like turn to the right and it makes angry young Muslims occasionally turn to extremism too. It's about time the extremists on both sides were shut down with a little bit of common sense. Dialogue is the way forwards. It is something that threatens you as you thrive on conflict and chaos.
