Re: Errol Spence Jr vs Lamont Peterson in January.
Spence feeling it, doing a tribal dance stepped up footwork in 7th on poor Peterson ffs.
Re: Errol Spence Jr vs Lamont Peterson in January.
That was a big old crowd for a guy from the other end of the country against a not so stellar opponent. Spence has some star power it seems.

One of the frustrating things was that when Porter was interviewed about being more active this year he basically said that he is the mandatory for Thurman and wants to wait for that fight. He even knew that Thurman was taking an easy fight in April. Porter could easily fight Spence if he wanted it but he doesn’t.
Re: Errol Spence Jr vs Lamont Peterson in January.
Porter was saying that because he's not rated by the IBF the Spence fight can't happen next. Spence should fight Porter for his mandatory position.
Re: Errol Spence Jr vs Lamont Peterson in January.
Spence was very classy again but used a hell of a lot of nails and still couldn't keep the floorboard down. A nail gun is fun but it's not a toy and you have to be careful not to get carried away with how easy it can make the job look when there is such a big chance of shooting yourself in the foot. Fortunately everyone else in the division are still using tack hammers.

And that's exactly what Thurman was saying last interview I saw when he was running on about 'maybe 2018 or even 2019' regarding Spence. Dropped Porter is his mandatory a few times. Porter no where to be found in ibf rankings, but sits as mandatory #1 for Thurman. Haymon has a leveling up factory going. I'm beginning to think Spence is wasting his time and shouldn't have to clamor for Thurman who has his own reestablishing to do.

The problem is who else should he fight? Porter is waiting for Thurman so he won’t risk a loss. I highly doubt Garcia fights Spence after he beats Rios. If Garcia will, that would be a great fight to be made. If not, who is left? Crawford is fighting Horn and then probably Pacquiao after that. So his 2018 is booked. Honestly, what other WW is there?

Probably a stay busy fight with Collazo.
Re: Errol Spence Jr vs Lamont Peterson in January.
Devon Alexander for June/July.
Then Garcia for November.
Re: Errol Spence Jr vs Lamont Peterson in January.
Garcia isn’t getting anywhere near Spence. And it wouldn’t be a good fight if he did. He’s too damned slow of foot to compete with Spence. It would be a brutal beat down

I'm a big fan of homes under the hammer as well

Nothing wrong with a proper beat down of Garcia..it's long overdue..perhaps a KO of Garcia would send another message to the division and Thurman will have to fight Spence early 2019.
Another worry is that Thurman will milk the injury until the end of 2018..hoping that Crawford will fight Spence first.

Oh Thurman has of course already said Spence and Crawford should fight. As soon as Crawford said he was coming for Thurman. Thurman always tells other guys who they should fight. He wants no part of either. I'd love to see Spence vs Crawford but I don't see Bob allowing it. They've set up the standard TR route, get the WBO belt then explain why fighting those other guys makes no sense.
