So I guess they called it a sixth round TKO >:mad
Sanders is coming off of to 2nd round knockout wins but has a hand injury...he's still in the game & a huge threat. Power is the last thing to go & Sanders is still speedy as fwock.

Really interested in seeing the numbers.

Yep. That's the fight that he got injured during I believe...prior to that...he knocked out 2 champs over the course of 2 rounds each.

I think they said Wlad had landed 100 or more in the first 5 rounds.

sanders and brewster aer about equal.... the outcome would be the same.... klitchko would take the fight though
Totally disagree here.
Sanders is a much larger threat than Brewster could ever have been.
I was a big follower of Sanders back in his heyday & that old coot can still crack!
you think that at sanders age currently he could beat or be serious competition for wlad...
maybe, but i think brewster is the same style basically, and hits as hard.. and klitchko has improved dramatically since their last fight
is see the fight as being close to the same result...
-
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds! Klitschko vs Brewster II
Sanders doesn't really have the same style as Brewster, not at all really.

Agreed Sanders is left handed and is dangerous he comes out banging it would be risky fight for Wlad even at Sanders age now.
No it wouldn't. Sanders doesn't even bother to come in shape anymore, he doesn't have the mental makeup to do anything in the sport anymore he has more of a passion for Golf. The mental game means a lot in the sport of boxing and mentally Sanders isnt in it anymore he would be Wladimer's easiest fight if he fought him now.

Brewster & Sanders fight NOTHING alike.
Sanders has more power, fights from a distance, & actually moves.
You really need to watch Sanders some more before you pass judgement like that, he's actually a hell of a fighter. He is getting old...but power has the ability to make a young man old quick fast & in a hurry.

Your'e basing that off of the Vitali fight & the HBO commentary.
Sanders has fought 3 times since losing to Vitali...all of which he won...all of which he came in shape.

Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds! Klitschko vs Brewster I
They just said on german tv that Wlads left hand is swollen and bandaged, but no details on
what is wrong...
-
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds! Klitschko vs Brewster II
I think Wladdy SHOULD fight Sanders and just get it out of the way IMO.
Wladdy would beat Sanders worst then what Vitali did. Sanders is old and I just don't think he can do what he did in 2003.
If memory serves me right I read that Sanders hurt his hand in his last fight, so who knows if he will continue to fight or not.

Sanders isnt mentally or physically the same Corrie Sanders he was. He isn't even motivated to come in shape anymore. Wladimer would have the easiest time with him now.

Thats his jabbing hand, I would assume if anything happened it came from the jabbing which to be honest looked to me like straight left hands...
-
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds! Klitschko vs Brewster I
They are doing a post...post-interview right now... Wladdy plays the speculation about his left hand down...Nothing serious he said, things like that would happen after mosts fight...just a little swollen...
-
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds! Klitschko vs Brewster II
ok i'm going to stop debating... you all made good points
I'm just happy that:
klitchko just beat one of his biggest threats and avenged his loss in pure dominate fashion!!!!
GO KLITCHHHHHHHHHHHKO!!!!

Not entirely...but I wouldn't rule it out.
Sanders is a better boxer than Brewster. Brewster just bulls in to try & catch you with one big punch...& Sanders is far from down, as some are saying. A man that keeps winning isn't beaten or worth writing off...

Plus he's a southpaw - I think that, coupled with Sanders' style and power, gave Wlad problems.
BUt I'll be the first to admit that Wlad isn't the same fighter. He's much more patient and deliberate now, which makes him more dangerous. I still think he's beatable, but the task appears to be growing more difficult! There's no doubt that he's the man to beat at HW right now.

Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds! Klitschko vs Brewster II
6th round TKO....Wlad dominated with the jab and landed some huge shots....Brewster was just outgunned tonight and McGirt stopped it.
Lamon has one hell of a chin on him!

cheers mate CC
for some stupid reason i thught this would be the 4am kick off like it was a us a fight.. silly me:p

Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds! Klitschko vs Brewster II
haha....CC back.
Wlad showed a lot of guts tonight though he showed he knew he was the better guy and didn't take any bull...he threw the right cross straight out of the gate and he stood in the center of the ring to start out because he figured Lamon would rush in looking for the KO and all Lamon got was a face full of jab!
-

hey lyle...... wlad threw more in that fight than the last fight and he didnt look tired one bit....
is he more fit... is he throwing more percise...
he seemed to have solved the problem though.. ive seen wlad in other fights, the peter fight comes to mind where he fought real strong throughout the fight...
what happened in the first brewster fight was it an anomoly??

I don't think it was an anomoly...it's still there...he's just getting it worked out.
-
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds! Klitschko vs Brewster II
I think he was just confident and fought relaxed, he knows his jab is the best hands down in the division...it's quicker, more powerful, and more accurate than anyone else's (almost anyone else's in all of BOXING!).
Wlad's mindset was right tonight and it showed.
In the first fight, it's hard to say what happened I think Wlad in the first fight was just a combination of nerves a new trainer and a determined opponent
-
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds! Klitschko vs Brewster II
Wacko I think it's common for fighters to have flaws....Wlad has really worked on his problems....look at him vs Sanders then vs Peter....look at him vs Williamson then look at him vs Brewster tonight.
He's not scared, he fights smarter, his power might be better than before because he's more confident, his punches are faster and his defense is a TON better than what it was
-
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds! Klitschko vs Brewster II
One of the saddest things I've ever seen. How Brewster got a license to box is beyond me, the man has a detatched retina for gods sake. Completely embarrasing and awful for the sport.
-
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds! Klitschko vs Brewster II
Ray Leonard fought after having a detatched retina....I mean it's not great to do but it's better than oooooohhh having a plate in your head (Edwin Valero/MAB) or HIV(Tommy Morrison) or being brain damaged (too many to mention) and fighting.
Was it just me or did Lamon have a dude in his corner in "green face"??? I mean I saw the guy was black but his face looked like he was having a bad reaction to the gold shirt he was wearing
-

You think that justifies it? It's why boxing is still in the dark ages. Just an American Idiots point of view in my eyes.

Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds! Klitschko vs Brewster II
Big Dan....Lamon was fine, his eye is fixed...it ain't like he was David motherfuckin Reid out there and couldn't see the punches coming....EVERYONE sees Wlad's punches coming, they can't block them or move out of the way is the problem....Wlad is too quick and too strong plain and simple.
You should give Wlad props for getting Lamon a HUGE payday for his first fight back, he'll fight again and it's his fucking eye he can do what he wants to with it!
