I hear ya on that one!
There's nothin I hate more than stupid comments from people watching with only passing interest or stupid comments from guys pretending they no what they're watching.
However on the flipside it's brilliant to watch with people who no their stuff and are passionate about it.
Ironically I love watching with my girlfriend as she naturally knows her stuff which is brilliant! It's rare you find a person who on their first glimpse at the sport roots for the smart boxer rather than the exciting slugger...
My mates should be well on it by fight time, they're getting a keg of Heineken courtesy of moi and a crate of Buckfast too!
I think thats a reflection on me really as I'mmad enough to hang round with such crazy fellas!

Can ne1 watching the fight in sbo in england tell me if u get the jamie moore fight when subscribing for the the hatton v mayweather fight cos im pretty sure i saw it advertised a while ago but on skysports it shows u the fixtures and i cant c it on there so then i thought they might be showing it on itv but i had no luck finding it on there neither?

I just looked on boxrec nd on there they dont show hes fighting ne1 so maybe its been called off or something which im hoping it hasnt as i would like to see moore do well as hes and exciting fighter who i think is gd to watch nd it would have been gd to c if he could step up to the european level. Buts its still gonna be the best night of boxing for along time with or without moore. have a cc neway

European light-middleweight champion Zaurbek Baysangurov has withdrawn from his mandatory defence with a reported fractured cheekbone caused in his last week of sparring, according to the promoter of his scheduled opponent, Jamie Moore.
The match, which was due to take place next Saturday at Wigan, was to have headed up the British leg of the Hatton-Mayweather PPV.
Mancunian Moore has been persuaded to relinquish his British title, allowing a short notice headline fight to take place on the same date between Gary Woolcombe and Marcus Portman.
Moore's promoter and friend Wood, said: "This is another blow to Jamie as he continually strives to raise above British level and it has left the Salford fighter shattered. Jamie has been training in pain - with a repeat shoulder injury that caused him to have an operation immediately after the Mathew Macklin fight - and has now decided to go under the surgery again to try and rectify the problem once and for all rather than defend his British title.
"Jamie remains mandatory for the European title and this will happen as soon as both boxers are fit and able."

Yeah and I'd like to add I want to see Ricky RUNNING after Floyd. I don't want stupid little,slow steps or anything else. If Floyd moves from the corner,run after him,trap him and get on top of him,whilst making space for yourself tp punch. I see alot of fighters smother their work against Floyd,they don't make enough room for themelves. I hope Hatton has learnt from that.

Gamo, I reckon you've hit the nail on the head there. Watching the infamous Floyd Mayweather brawling clip part 2 again i noticed that Floyd moves in close so the majority of hook cannot hit him.
Hatton using the hold and hook style may just be able to lower his head and land some body shots where others have failed.

I hope Hatton shocks the World but I think it's just going to be another boring Floyd Mayweather Jr fight....showboating and gloating and little spurts of action.
I just hope if anything Ricky gives him no rest the entire night and at least swells him up a bit.

JT confirmed on another thread Floyds hands are fine, so no injury worries from either camp. I don't think weight will be an issue for either man andbothe seem super confident...cannot wait!

First thing's first, a cool one is appropriate right now and the second point I agree with is that Hatton has to be on top of PBF and stick to him Ala Castillo when he and Floyd mixed it up. You've got to admit Floyd thought Mr. Castillo was a pain in the rump. That foremost should be Hatton but Floyd is talented but not well liked. That's got nothing to do with fight night. You have done it again and I always look forward to your posts.

I don't think it's intimidation, i think it's legitimate aggression.
In the Maussa fight he rushed to much and toook a long time to settle into a rhythm, he'd better settle in real quick vs. Mayweather.

I dont think its about Hatton being himself. Its about setting the tone for what's ahead and Hatton was right to try and keep it as even with Floyd as possible in terms of the mental games.
Hatton's mind seems to be in a very focussed and mean place and thats exactly where it should be.
I really wish Mayweather wouldnt say he will go toe to toe. Such a crock of S*** on hearing it for the upteenth time.

I listen and I read Ricky's interviews about this fight and it seems like he is trying to convice the media and even himself he will win. Everytime Ricky makes a gesture or remark during the lead up for this fight his fans cling on that as a tide turning event by saying "Ricky has never done that before he is going to win now"  ::**
Just like when Delahoya fans said Oscar was in great shape and had the best trainer and FLoyd got under his skin, now DLH is mad and focused as ever he lost.
Hatton is nothing more than another in line annointed to be the latest and greatest Mayweather slayer who will come up short and wont get it done.
On the contrary Floyd is a virtuoso and is his usual calm, cool, collected self, he is as always in the best shape, focused and mentally prepared to win

This fight must be what fans felt in the run up to the Rumble in the jungle, De la Hoya Trinida and Hagler/Leonard,
Honestly it may not be as relevant to some, but it's that big for me as a Hatton fan.
Ricky may get blown out in the first round and humiliated on the night, he may lose or he may win, but this feeling of excitement he and Floyd have given me is a new expierience for me.
I'm more psyched for this than the Tszyu fight.

I'll go with Floyd by decision like I usually do. I don't see a stoppage, people repeatedly pick Floyd by stoppage but he just hasn't been getting them lately.
