That was a bad cut - but Clottey was getting to him. I can't fault that...even if I did pick Judah by UD. ;D
I know this may sound retarded but i was more impressed with Zab Judah than Joshua Clottey.........
I think Zab Judah looked really sharp where as Joshua Clottey wern't really putting enough combos together and looked like he was sleep walking for alot of the fight and only come alive in spurts.......
Joshua Clottey certainly won the fight but based off that performance he hasn't got a chance against Antonio Margarito or Andre Berto.
Don't go away mad Zab, just go away.....
Judah looked good for the first 3 and thereafter was looking decent only in spurts. Zab just cannot seem to put it together consistently for 12 rounds at the top anymore. He can beat anyone in a four rounder but at the top level you need a bit more. Judah was losing rounds towards the end and Clottey was systematically breaking Zab down. I dont think Zab could have won even had it continued.
Judah was 143 for this. There really is no reason why he cannot fight at 140. Otherwise I dont see all that many options for Zab at 147. Definitely needs a rethink.
not bad fight, not as gud last week, AM v MAC
Glad Clotty wun as im v Tony better than Zab v Tony
I thought it was a good fight for Judah. I don't think he quit, that was a nasty cut he had and to his credit, I know everyone will laugh, but he did look focused and determined like he actually wanted to be in there.
The thing about Zab though is he can't get away from the right hand. It's been that way his whole career, that's always been the big chink in his armor, the right hand. Clottey literally has no outside game at all. No outside game, no jab or anything, he just covers up and moves forward. But he figured out that he could let the right hand go from the outside and it was almost like he couldn't miss. That's what won him the fight.
Also, how dumb of a rule is it that you have to score that partial round? I never knew that but that is ridiculous. Terrible, terrible rule.
Our expectations for Judah are very very low.
Lennox Lewis  :peeker:
Its also dumb the TV shows a left uppercut caused the cut but the result is still being called a technical decision victory.
I think Zab did want a way out. His dad shouted about 5 times headbutt then the first thing Judah asked was it was a headbutt right? The fighter that deserved to win thankfully got the nod when it went to the cards.
Enjoyed the fight, Judah seemed to be going for broke as he knew he needed a k.o to win settin up a good last few rounds then a dissapointing stoppage leaving a bad taste in the mouth!!
exactly, but then he acted like he won. Total Lack of class.
Clottey was in route to stopping him big time. In fact I don't care what the ref said, Clottey did stop him. That uppercut that opened that enourmous cut on zabs eye was a knock out in my eye.
Judah should be fighting on ESPN, or fox sports. Not HBO or Shotime
All I have to say is
Zab Judah: Peoples Champion
