Well son-of-a-biatch!! I don't know if Bilbo's earlier guess was right, or if this is another twist to throw us off of who the real killer is? :dontknow:
I didn't think that they would kill Amy off, she was a good nutcase.
Damn that new vamp Jessica is going to be a vicious vampire, I can see it now. What a handful.
I was surprised to see Bill go at Sam like that.
Okay, who is this lady that bailed out Tara, and who we now know was the lady that was in the road. Is she a werewolf?

She's actually Admiral Cain from Battlestar Galactica.

I'm gonna guess she's controlling the demon in Tara.

LOL, you and your Battlestar Galactica! ;) ;D
But does Tara really have a demon in her, since we found out that the voodoo lady was a fake?

I think she does, either that or there's a curse on her and her mom.

Well, wrong again but I will still say that whoever the killer is, is a warewolf... Reason being is that the killing on the full moon was the vicious one(sookie's gran)... That is the one part I'm possitive about cuz they even set it up with sam saying that they exist.
Also, I wonder if shape shifters also have slightly increased strength cuz he was holding his own against Bill... Had a decent hook on him...

I know she was Gabriel Byrne's wife from In Treatment. Great show. I still think the sheriff has to get his hands dirty. C'mon, the whole town is freaky some kinda way. For him to not be screwed up SOMEHOW. Maybe Drew Marshall fled and the sheriff persued.

I almost nailed it. She got it while they were high, but not by the vamp. But Jason was left untouched.

Reason being is cuz Jason told Drew and that other big dude that only Amy did V... Had he said that they do it together he'd be dead.
Nice though... you almost had it.

I need to go back and look at the belt buckle and then go back to the road scene to see if I can see it.

I was thinking the same thing, that's why I asked if this lastest twist was just another way of throwing us off who the real killer is.
Hoyt is almost too nice, which makes it the perfect cover for him to be the killer. Maybe Rene is tracking down who killed his sister?

WHY DID THEY KILL AMY?!!?!?!
I LIKED SEEING HER NAKED GOD DAMNIT!!
i was so bummed man..
anyway.. i don't see there being any demons after that whole scene w/ the demon lady in the drug store.. So this lady that bailed Tara out is up to something else.. Maybe an investigator of some sort.. She said that she is always around the jail, because she knew the police officer, but the lieutenant didn't seem to know who she was when he was bitching for her to move the car..
Anyway, i'm really pissed how things have gone recently, it reminds me of Twin Peaks, my favorite tv show.. You know that there is one episode left, but you know there are going to be very few answers to all of these questions.. Sookie and Sam are not going to be together, and she keeps pushing Bill away, for no reason.. big deal he had to go to trial and he came back, you just lost your virginity to him and spent all of season one telling us how he may be the one becausee you can't read his mind.. stupid..
Eric is the man, and he's going to probably ask for Sookie to do something for him in this next episode considering Bill owes him "something" now..
I also agree with Sam's ability to hold his own against bill.. i mean, he really wouldn't have a chance, but he seemed to be stronger than what we've seen so far from normal humans getting thrown up a tree and stuff.. I'm pretty pumped for the finale though.. it should be two hours because these episodes drag as far as storyline goes.

wait.. she was the lady in the road? i thought that at first when i saw her, but i then second guessed myself because tara didn't recognize her..
If there are werewolves involved in this series, then i'd have to say yes, she is one.. Tara was vulnerable while in jail, and she is best friends with Sookie, who obviously is involved w/ vamps, and she is cousins with Lafayette, who also is obviously involved w/ vamps.. the two characters in the series that are most involved with vampires, are Tara's two closest characters.. possible coincidence, but i don't think so..
-
Re: Is anyone watching True Blood on HBO?
OKAY, sorry to triple post..
So, i watched the last episode online cause my sister was in the living room (where I have HBO) so, i didn't see the previews for the finale until just now when i went on youtube..
first off, it looks pretty badass..
second, obviously from my last post regarding Eric asking something from Sookie, was true.. we knew that was coming..
one other thing, they showed sam as a dog going after someone.. now, Sam said he was a dog because it's easy to be around people and people like dogs.. well, if you're going to go after someone to attack them, why don't you turn into something destructive.. like, a bear or something, i don't know.. just a thought.. without anyone reading any spoilers, i'm interested in some more talk about next weeks episode.. POB either you hit it on the head w/ the werewolf thing, or you read spoilers (which means i will kill you).. in either case, if it comes true, i will not know if you were correct in thought, or because you read spoilers, so i'm just going to kill you on principle ;D
-
Re: Is anyone watching True Blood on HBO?
Sam might have attacked as a dog because that's the easiest form for him to mimic. Remember he said being around the animal helps him to assume the form. I imagine he doesn't have much experience becoming a bear.

i just posted 8 times on my thoughts cause i was sort of excited after i watched the last episode.. to be honest i'm bummed overall.. partly because there is only 1 more episode, and partly because of the storyline drag/build up.. this finale better be good..

See, I don't see it dragging at all... I think it's flowing quite nicely.
I am also bummed.
I did hear from a friend who just spoke to someone who has read the series that this season is essentially the first book almost verbatim.

There is definitely a lot going on, so maybe dragging isn't the best word, but things are getting real widespread as far as characters and story lines go.. Think of what has happened.. And tell me you couldn't condense it into a 3 and a half hour movie.. i could do it..
This is mainly why i don't watch tv, ESPECIALLY tv series any longer.. the mainstream audience (this is no shot at any of you) has been dumbed down over the years.. Watch two episodes of Twin Peaks and you will think you watched six episodes.. They were the same amount of time, hour episodes, and they're just absolutely packed with content.. I like true blood mainly because i'm a fan of vampire mythology and there are some hot chicks on the show.. I really like the storyline and how they've done things, but i just wish it had a bit more to it..
i knew you had insider information about this werewolf shit, your friend with the books!! hahah..
i read on the finale preview that sam is chasing someone from his past, any ideas?

Nah, I actually have no inside info Cuz my friend who I heard it from didn't want spoilers from her... So no... Nor would I want any. ;D

Yeah, I loved when Sookie was running away from sam in her panties... Sick bum on that chick.

Re: Is anyone watching True Blood on HBO?
Wow! A lot happened in the final episode!!
First, I'm kind of disappointed that they revealed Rene so easily.
And I started tearing up when Bill went into the sun to try and save Sookie.
So Tara's new friend is a shape shifter too, but I bet she shape shifts into humans, and maybe that is not her true self? Plus it looks like Sam must have stole from her.
Jason finds God!!!!!!! WTF!!!
I laughed when Jason came to see Sookie after he got out of jail, and said to her that while he was in jail that he thought about all the stupid things he's done, and Sookie says "Well that must have taken a long time".
OMG that Jessica, I told you that she was going to be vicious, and it was funny how Eric couldn't even handle her.
Was it a werewolf that got Lafayette?
And who is dead in Andy's car?
I can't believe we have to wait until next summer to see the next season!!!
-
Re: Is anyone watching True Blood on HBO?
I hope Lafayette isn't dead. Gay or no, he is one of the more interesting characters on TV today. Plus you have some unresolved issues going on between him and that politician. From how they stacked the scenes right next to one another I thought Bill in a crazed, hungry state might have gotten Lafayette (the zooming camera too), but in hindsight I think it's something else. Something a little bit more... intentional. Maybe the Senator or Representative has some sinister connections and sicced something on him to shut him up. I just hope there's an explanation that makes sense that will allow us to see him alive in season 2.
I think that woman is a werewolf. Remember how afraid/offended he was when Sookie called him one. And at the end we see him clearing out his safe with a huge amount of cash in it? I think that pig is some sort of mental dumb bell. If she can exercise control and not transform and eat it she can keep from killing humans too. But what is her plan for Tara?
-
Re: Is anyone watching True Blood on HBO?
Nah, there's no way they are going to kill off Lafayette. Like you said, he's one of the best characters out there. But I think it was a werewolf, because of the noise it made, and because he jumped up on the dumpster when it came towards him. But definitely connected to that State Rep.
I think that woman is a shape shifter, based upon when she was sitting there outside, she had that weird vibration going on around her, and when Tara almost hit her on the road, she was naked, just like Sam is when he comes out of it. And Sam ripped her off some how?
-

I only think she's a werewolf because because Sam seemed adamantly against Sookie having anything to do with one and how he seemed afraid of her. They have to connect what he said to Sookie with something and this just seems to be it.
I wanna see a shapeshifter who can mock other humans.
Oh, and Bill must be a special vampire. When the other ones were firebombed they just burned to death in their coffins. Bill not only has the ability to wake up during the day, but he can endure a significant amount of daylight. It was kinda cool to see what sunlight looks like to him.
-
Re: Is anyone watching True Blood on HBO?
Well I think that woman is someone that can shape shift into a human, and she does it for no good, and that's why Sam was afraid of her. Maybe she wants to use Tara as a subject to change into?
Maybe that guy playing the guitar, was really her?
-
Re: Is anyone watching True Blood on HBO?
True. We didn't see them at the same time. It would make sense for her to reach out to Tara if she knew Sam had had a relationship with her. All the more reason for her to reach out to Sookie.
-
Re: Is anyone watching True Blood on HBO?
Oh, maybe Sam is moving the money, in case that woman does use Tara as her subject to turn into, and he won't know it, thus giving the woman easier access to the money as Tara?
-

That would be a pretty creepy thought.
I thought the final episode was a massive letdown tarnishing the whole series. I didn't get why Renee was killing all these fang bangers.
It just wasn't explained as to what his motives were other than hating them. I thought he had to be a werewolf or something but no he was just an ordinary bloke.
It had some absurd plot elements as well. I mean how the hell could Renee move from one local town to another and then change his identity and become cajun and get away with it, that's ridiculous.
Also the timeline is stupid. I mean they are now legalising marriages between man and vampire? For fuck's sake it's taken 2000 years for gay relationships to be recognised and that's still controversial do they seriously think it's even remotely credible that the undead could crawl out of their coffins and within five years have full voting, civl and marriage rights?
It's just stupid
And don't even get me started on Jason Stackhouse, I mean what the hell kind of plot twist has him joining the anti vampire Sun church?
How ridiculous is that? So his gran gets killed by a vampire hater, stabbed to death in her own home by his own secret vampire hating best friend, who also strangles to death two of his casual girlfriends, plus the love of his life AND tries to kill his sister and so he decides to become a vampire hater too and side with the very people who killed and tried kill everyone he cares about
Bit of a shitty ending imo. Just a retarded episode.

Maybe that guy playing the guitar, was really her?
That would be a pretty creepy thought.
I thought the final episode was a massive letdown tarnishing the whole series. I didn't get why Renee was killing all these fang bangers.
It just wasn't explained as to what his motives were other than hating them. I thought he had to be a werewolf or something but no he was just an ordinary bloke.
It would have been nice to get into his motives for hating vamps more, but that would have taken away from the big reveal they were building up to. Maybe next season they may backfill some of that in.

It had some absurd plot elements as well. I mean how the hell could Renee move from one local town to another and then change his identity and become cajun and get away with it, that's ridiculous.
The town of Bon Temps seems as if not everything is by the book. Rene may have moved there to be able to fall of the radar.

You're assuming that vampires haven't been working behind the scenes for a long time. They have probably been working behind the scenes for a long time and set the stage for themselves to be able to hit the ground running when they came out. If that one politician was addicted to V, why wouldn't many more be? As corrupt as they are wouldn't they be likely to fall prey to a corrupting force? It isn't a matter of how fast they did it, but why they chose to do it now. I think they need our infrastructure. They need the protection of law to prevent... something. Maybe another baddie out there is getting ready to make a run at them, but humans would side with them if they have full rights.

It's just stupid
And don't even get me started on Jason Stackhouse, I mean what the hell kind of plot twist has him joining the anti vampire Sun church?
How ridiculous is that? So his gran gets killed by a vampire hater, stabbed to death in her own home by his own secret vampire hating best friend, who also strangles to death two of his casual girlfriends, plus the love of his life AND tries to kill his sister and so he decides to become a vampire hater too and side with the very people who killed and tried kill everyone he cares about
Jason Stackhouse has a very weak mind. Why would you expect someone who makes dumb decisions to suddenly make smart ones? He'll realize in his own time.

Bit of a shitty ending imo. Just a retarded episode.
It could have been better, but it's one helluva set up for next season.
