Dawson's excuses were ridiculous.
"I was on my way to stopping him." No you weren't Chad. You were on your way to 2 more rounds of letting Pascal off the hook.
If Dawson fought the way he should've fought, Pascal would've been KO'd sometime between the 6th and 9th rounds.
A terrible performance by Dawson and he didn't deserve a victory
Rewatch the fight Pascal had that deer in the headlights face after getting rocked he just stood there with face sticking out, and if dawson had any killer instinct at all he would have finished it there.Quote:

1) Jean Pascal starts to be really popular, he's still far behind Bute in term of popularity and people were even cheering for Diaconu in both of their bouts. Now he's starting to brand the city and the souls over here, this victory will help him greatly.
2) August is a terrible month for PPV as everybody's on vacations but no other dates matched because of Shaw and HBO exigences so they couldn't postponed it, especially because it would have been in competition with the Bute"s fight.
The ambiance was quite electric and people cheerful to see our homeboy getting the win, quite happy to have assisted live to a good fight, especially because the last time I went to an arena to see boxing was a while ago.

this is his moment in the sun to date, he has put on a few decent performances against froch and diaconu over the years but nothing to suggest he should even be considered for p4p top 10
i had him a comfortable winner FWIW 106-103 and am delighted JP is finally getting the recognition he deserves for being a top fighter. Dawson just wanted to bore his way to another decision, pascal was having none of that

Bute stops Pascal...Unlike Dawson Bute is a finisher....He is faster then Pascal....he is certasinly more all around skilled....The fgihting in spurts shit won't cut it
