Re: BOXNATION -Khan-Diaz, Harrison-Wilder, Saturday Night Fight Thread
Damn, Amir is back to looking vulnerable again. On my card he needs to get to the bell without getting knocked down more than once, and he gets the win.

Re: BOXNATION -Khan-Diaz, Harrison-Wilder, Saturday Night Fight Thread
I'm impressed with how he's recovering there.

Well, he's not exactly fighting George Foreman.

Re: BOXNATION -Khan-Diaz, Harrison-Wilder, Saturday Night Fight Thread
Khan should lose a point for the holding, but it may not matter...

This is a 10-8 round even without a KD for me.

Re: BOXNATION -Khan-Diaz, Harrison-Wilder, Saturday Night Fight Thread
He keeps making the same mistakes. He ignored his corner and went right into the booth.

I almost made the very same joke in my post. Great minds...
;)
but also khan doesn't get spoken to for leaving his arm out, using the head, holding diaz's head down...just saying
I agree, but that's always the case with the house fighter. He didn't get that courtesy in Washington. Khan is also doign a ton of holding.
ref you cheating cunt

Crazy.
Referee is on golden boy bribe

Re: BOXNATION -Khan-Diaz, Harrison-Wilder, Saturday Night Fight Thread
How the fuck is he still standing?
His chin seems to be holding up just fine. Shouldn't be hit that much though.
-
Re: BOXNATION -Khan-Diaz, Harrison-Wilder, Saturday Night Fight Thread
If only Khan's chin was as monstrous as his grit.

Khan has got to be the dumbest talented fighter since Taylor.
-
Re: BOXNATION -Khan-Diaz, Harrison-Wilder, Saturday Night Fight Thread
Khan celebrating. He knows he can do down 10 times and as long as he makes it to 12 he's winning

If he even had a half-decent chin, he would be VERY hard to beat.

Just think if that was garcia or peterson in the 11th rd.
-
Re: BOXNATION -Khan-Diaz, Harrison-Wilder, Saturday Night Fight Thread
Hard to decide if his chin held up, or his pure heart, grit and balance did.
Either way Khan deserves the win.
Hometown happens yes, cost him the Petersen fight.
Not khans fault, it's the refs.

Re: BOXNATION -Khan-Diaz, Harrison-Wilder, Saturday Night Fight Thread
Great effort from Khan, but if he's getting this kind of workout from Julio Diaz, you've got to think he doesn't get the win against a title holder. I had Khan winning by a couple, but what a fight again.

Phew! If it was in Mexico you have to think Diaz would at least have got something out of it.

Re: BOXNATION -Khan-Diaz, Harrison-Wilder, Saturday Night Fight Thread
Price looks he had a vision of his own future there.

I think the right guy won, Khan banked enough rounds. Probably should have lost a point for holding though.

a different ref? ;D You think khan would dare fight there? I doubt he'll want to go back to the USA if I'm honest

Re: BOXNATION -Khan-Diaz, Harrison-Wilder, Saturday Night Fight Thread
Not by the hairs on my chinny chin chin!

Re: BOXNATION -Khan-Diaz, Harrison-Wilder, Saturday Night Fight Thread
Fine line between being brave and just too fuckin stupid for ones own good. Imagine if Diaz wasn't on the backside of his career.

Yeah mate, I had it a bit wider than all 3 judges.
Gave khan 1,2,3,5,6,7,8,9
115-112

Re: BOXNATION -Khan-Diaz, Harrison-Wilder, Saturday Night Fight Thread
I get the impression the Virgil REALLY likes listening to himself talk.

The worst thing for khan about all of this is that everyone is going to follow that blueprint.
Garcia will be so much better next time round.

Re: BOXNATION -Khan-Diaz, Harrison-Wilder, Saturday Night Fight Thread
Khan has grew me. I like watching him fight. He's got an outstanding set of offense skills. And he's got a lot of heart. Khan ain't no bitch. I always thought he had a weak chin. But really he doesn't. It's average. His biggest problem is he has very poor punch resistance. Doesn't matter where you hit him. He can't take it. His body short circuits and he's in trouble. Sadly for him that's not something that's really fixable.

He also panics when he gets hurt. It's a bad combination.

Re: BOXNATION -Khan-Diaz, Harrison-Wilder, Saturday Night Fight Thread
Well Im becoming more and more convinced that trying to fix Amir Khan has been the worst thing that has happened to him.
He seems to have lost any snap in his punches, spends too much time and energy running around like a prick and still gets clumped/dropped just as much.
Get him in great shape and send him out to fight with no instructions whatsoever. The results wont change.
Hill and Diaz. Class acts.

I get what you mean, like a weak chin is someone who gets KOd by one of those punches, but khan doesn't, but his whole body feels it, like his legs go, his arms go, he wobbles, that is the issue.

Re: BOXNATION -Khan-Diaz, Harrison-Wilder, Saturday Night Fight Thread
High anxiety and wrapped too tight. He never looks relaxed to me.

I just knew that at some point I'd call him Virgil Hill.

Dehydration. Fasting. You take a lot of fluids on in food and although it ain't Ramadan I can't help thinking it may be a contributing factor.
