Re: Floyd Mayweather JR / Manny Pacquiao - NEWS STREAM - Cassettes in a Ferrari
Floyd likes to go Old School with cassettes in his Ferrari ;D
"Floyd Mayweather may be the richest sportsman in the world, but that doesn't stop him listening to old-fashioned cassettes when driving around in his expensive cars.
Mayweather, nicknamed Money Man, released a new video on Tuesday in the build-up to his mega-money fight with Manny Pacquiao on May 2.
And in the short clip, as well as choosing between a Ferrari, Rolls Royce and Bugatti for a trip to the shops, the boxer also shows off his selection of tapes, including some classic R Kelly."

I think it's more about his character and lifestyle that many people don't like about $$$. If he didn't act like such a jerk sometimes, I bet no American would be shouting, Manny, Manny. But then Floyd is Floyd, hate him or love him...

Re: Floyd Mayweather JR / Manny Pacquiao - NEWS STREAM - CJROSS 8 round stoppage FMJ
C J ROSS yes that C J ROSS thinks that it won't go past 8 with Floyd stopping a shop worn Manny
"I have observed and judged both fighters for most of their careers and have witnessed the effects of age on both," Ross exclusively explained to World Boxing News.
"I've seen more of a decline in Manny Pacquiao than I have seen in Floyd Mayweather. Mayweather still has his punch speed, although he has lost some of his foot speed. He has never been a knockout puncher, but he has enough desire to not go out as a loser.
"Pacquiao on the other hand has weaker legs, his timing is off and he has lost before. He has the heart though and might be able to hold out in the early rounds, but I don't see it going past the eighth."

Re: Floyd Mayweather JR / Manny Pacquiao - NEWS STREAM - Floyd senior retiring soon
It seems that Floyd senior may hang up his mitts when his son hangs up the gloves
"I had high hopes and I always believed my son was going to become a hell of a fighter, you know?" Mayweather Sr. said. "But I'm going to be honest with you. I could never have imagined he'd become the biggest athlete in the world ever. Doing what he is doing, this is all my thoughts and hopes and wishes come true.
"You say things you were wishing for and that you believe and then they come true, but even more. The Lord has shown me something really great."
The elder Mayweather, 62, said he's not going to stay in boxing much longer. He'll be with his son until the end and then that's likely going to be it.
"Right now, today, even before this fight happens, I don't need to work no more right now," he said. "We got this fight and then another fight, and I'm going to be honest with you. I don't think I'm going to be around the game that long no more. It will be pretty much the right time when my son gets through.
"See, a lot of people think I'm just going to keep on training and training, but man, I've done my job. I plain went out and done my job. If I don't make another champion, I've done what I'm supposed to do."

Well anywayz, back to the fight. This is a pretty decent analysis:
Boxing Buzz :: Hatton Fight Key To Picking Mayweather-Pacquiao Winner
All I can say for now is that if Pac comes in the fight cautious and tentative in his offense, the 'mos' can pop their champagne and celebrate. But if Pac comes blazing in with his trademark aggression, you can expect a super fight worthy of all the hype it's been getting; here, I think the 'tards' will have their chance for celebration. If Floyd comes extra cautious, backtracking and throwing his precision pot shots, he may win the fight - it's really difficult to catch a fighter who runs even for the best of punchers. But then, it's not easy to run backwards either. It's easy to lose your balance especially when you are been attacked from the front...we shall zee. The fight is becoming exziting by the minute...

Re: Floyd Mayweather JR / Manny Pacquiao - NEWS STREAM -
Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao: BREAKDOWN
"The way I see the fight, is with both Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather in the middle of the ring, in what Roy Jones likes to call a “Stepback toe to toe” fight. I do not see Mayweather using lateral movement in this fight at all. First reason is because he wants to show and prove that he can beat Manny the way nobody thought he could. Second reason is because against a fighter like Manny you should not spend so much energy moving around, a boxer like Mayweather only needs to constantly move around against a brawler, like Maidana, or a big guy like Canelo. I have never seen Manny Pacquiao as brawler, but rather as a boxer puncher. That means that he won’t be coming forward the whole time against any fighter. Manny has enough skills to try to make Mayweather think. However, no matter what breakdown you have, I think everybody that enjoys boxing (The casual and the Hardcore fan) should be happy this fight has been made. These are two boxers that have whooped everybody they have put in front of them. (With the exception of some Pacquiao fights) Mayweather has faced every style that you can think of, except for Pacman’s style. The same goes for the Filipino boxer, he has faced every style in the book, except for that one of the so called T.B.E; Floyd Mayweather Jr. That is why this fight is so great. We will see two dedicated and God-gifted athletes share the same ring. We will see speed vs speed, Hall of Fame trainer (HOF) vs. HOF trainer, calculated offense vs wild offense. Come May 2nd 2015 will be an end of a boxing era, but the beginning of new era, that comes with many promising boxers".

Re: Floyd Mayweather JR / Manny Pacquiao - NEWS STREAM -last man to beat FMJ
The last man to beat Floyd, regrets it
A great article from the New York Times, it's worth reading, it begins
"PAZARDZHIK, Bulgaria — The man who beat Floyd Mayweather Jr. lives across the street from a burned-out coffee hut with a giant banana painted on its back wall. Around the bend, leaning in the tall grass, is a corroded shed holding ancient farming equipment. Every so often a horse trots down the craggy road, pulling a splintered cart and a rider toward the center of one of this country’s poorest towns.
Late Tuesday morning, the man who beat Mayweather, Serafim Todorov, stood on the curb here. He was in front of the seven-floor concrete apartment building where he, his wife, his son and his pregnant daughter-in-law live in a modest first-floor unit. Todorov talked with his son, Simeon. He watched a horse clop by. He smoked a cigarette. Then he went inside, sat in a chair and, like a teakettle perched on a glowing stove, steamed to a rolling boil as he remembered what happened in Atlanta 19 years ago."

Pacquiao vs Mayweather is ''good vs evil'' as trainer claims Pacman motivated by Floyd's domestic abuse past - Mirror Online
Manny Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach says that the Filipino boxer is driven to win because of Floyd Mayweather's history with domestic abuse.
Mayweather has been involved in seven alleged instances of physical assault against five different women.
In 2012, the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world spent two months in a Nevada detention facility for an attack on Josie Harris, who is the mother of three of his four children.
Speaking to USA Today, Roach said: "Manny is really against domestic violence. It is a big issue maybe in the Philippines for him and being a congressman he can control some of that stuff.
"That is a big plus for me that Manny does not like the guy, I think the killer instinct is going to come back a lot faster."
Roach also says that this is the first time since working with Pacquiao that he can sense that his man does not like his opponent.
Roach said: "(I see the fight as) good against evil, yes. I have even thought about bringing a couple of the metro cops from Vegas in to tell Manny how many times (Mayweather) has been arrested and how bad of a guy he is, but I decided I can't go that far.
"For the first time in my life with Manny Pacquiao, this is the first fighter he hasn't liked. I can tell."

Re: Floyd Mayweather JR / Manny Pacquiao - NEWS STREAM -
I say Pac smokes him early. Real early like Round 2. I say Floyd overtrains for this fight, thinking he is aging, and a quarter-step slow, he will overwork himself and he hits 147 by the end of this week. Too early, peaks too early in his zeal. Pac will be younger and fresher. Floyd needs some pop in this fight and shouldnt swim too much. Swimming builds long smooth muscle but the explosiveness will be lacking. Underwater sports could increase oxygen absorption and burn extra calories, he will come in aquatically and drained. Stamina problem for floyd in this fight. Would be great to see some Pac training photos and if he is still hav9ng calf cramps.

Re: Floyd Mayweather JR / Manny Pacquiao - NEWS STREAM -
I told you the rubbish that Floyd lives at 147lb is rubbish he makes the weight for the fights and nourishes himself up like everyone else.

Floyd couldn't make 144, no way he 'lives' at 147, even if he is a smallish welterweight.

Bob is a piece of shit. I don't get why he doesn't want this fight to happen  He's a money hungry pig and this is the richest fight in history, surely he would be all over it
Protecting his fighter isn't a valid reason either because he has milked his cash cow enough and it is up for slaughter now and off to retirement.
