Smh @ a warning for talking in the ring.
My hand hurt...that's why I can't knock out anyone...it's my hand's fault.
Let them jaw for fuckssake, it's probably the most competitive part of this fight.
Bayless is being really stupid. "stop the chatter" that causes a break ffs.
Now he threatens to take a point. What a tool
I hope that somewhere Manny Pacquiao is feeling ashamed that Andre Berto is putting up twice the fight that he did.
Exciting fight!
Bayless has been on the slide for a while. Berto content to be in the same room here. Floyd content to bore the fuck outta people
Come on Floyd do something man...he could make this a better fight but nooooooooo
Virgil Hunter is one cool cat ain't he
I've actually enjoyed this fight, Berto came to win.
Oh god I hope someone knocks out Berto in his next fight and makes Floyd look silly.
Floyd could have dropped him instead of completely wasting the last 10 seconds dancing around the ring...
Slow start but excellent second half!
Great last fight for TBE!
Let's listen to Mayweather say that Berto is the toughest fight he's had and he is a great fighter, he wants to thank god, he's TBE, he's had a great career and now he's done etc etc
Then I'm going to bed
Agree Bayless did a piss poor job.
Ok mafia fix split draw ;D
JCC actually had a DQ or something that got changed back in Mexico...way before 87-0
Here put on these shitty belts, we don't care who you fight, you are super duper extra special champ. No mandatories.
Was 'immaculate' on Mayweather's word of the day toilet paper?
He's gonna now work on finishing reading The Cat In The Hat.
I'm a massive Mayweather fan but I hope he is serious about knocking it on the head now, so many good fighters who have stalled on fighting each other for fear of losing out on a shot at money
Let's see the lads get in the ring with each other now
Amir Khan referring to himself in the 3rd person again, twat
Well, what can you say, props to Money. The fight was worse than I thought.I could see not giving Berto anyrounds. This can not be Floyd's last fight. Bayless should retire.
In boxingscene.com's article about the fight it has Floyd talking about retiring after 18 years as champ and the writer puts in(actually 17 since he won his first title in 1998) haha
Always funny when someone corrects someone else with all the information in front of them and still gets it wrong. 1998-2015 is 18 years.
Mayweather looked decent, but the fight was always a bit of a joke matchup and it showed. Berto gave it a try, but was limited. Berto hasn't really won a fight against a top opponent in several years, predictable and a bit pointless.
Damon you Rocco, if I hated May I wouldn't have dropped 79 US to watch him. I just expected a little more excitement. Don't take everything as an attack on Floyd, it's a sport, it's fine that you think I hate Floyd but why would I often talk out my love of his defense and jab if he hated the guy. Floyd is one of the best ever, I think he's a prick outside the ring but that could be the persona he projected to bring haters which has served him quite well. A big part off his fortune has come from Floyd haters, you should be thanking them for supporting your boy.
It was a wise decision to project that persona. The guy you want to lose instead of the fan favorite crowd pleaser. If he took that route he may be punchy right now. He protected himself at all times to the fullest, and managed to win fights. Its not fan friendly but look at Ali...end of the day Floyd can enjoy his retirement. I just hope he becomes a trainer and promoter to give back to the sport that has given him so much. I'm not a hater.
The main fight of the card for me was Groves/Badou and I think Groves was lacking a little. His punches lacked snap and accuracy and the poor start didn't help. He had to do more than that and he just couldn't raise the tempo enough. I'm thinking a 3rd loss is making his record look a bit Derek Chisora like now. Maybe he just cannot quite take it to the next level. Back to the drawing board I guess.
I don't see how anyone could have possibly expected a better fight, honestly? It was made entertaining for the fact that Floyd just can't hurt people any more, and Berto kept coming and forced him to engage a lot. Way better than the Pacquiao fight, and it's because Berto actually fought with pride.
