Re: Terence Crawford vs. Julius Indongo ESPN
Wow, figured Crawford would be measured and come on in the back half. I was dead wrong
-
Re: Terence Crawford vs. Julius Indongo ESPN
Hearts there but Indongo hurt bad..oh damn a body shot! Wow. That was brutal
-
Re: Terence Crawford vs. Julius Indongo ESPN
That puts an exclamation point on it!
-
Re: Terence Crawford vs. Julius Indongo ESPN
body shot 3rd round ko....ok umbongo isnt that good but he did just win two world titles in his last two fights and crawford beat him with ease, just goes to show how good crawford is, I think it is time for crawford to move up in weight
-
Re: Terence Crawford vs. Julius Indongo ESPN
And the body shot ended it. Those body shots were ruthless. I don't know why Indongo didn't try to avoid them better. He kept throwing such high punches and leaving his body opened
-
Re: Terence Crawford vs. Julius Indongo ESPN
Easy money!
Levels. (Shiney belts means shit. Fact)
-
Re: Terence Crawford vs. Julius Indongo ESPN
Crawford needs to fight a top guy at 147 now
-
Re: Terence Crawford vs. Julius Indongo ESPN
I like how everything about crawford is just so normal, no offence to them(:S) but his wife is no supermodel and just a normal person, he constantly fights in the unfashionable nebraska, he doesnt go in for the popular money money trash talk gimmick but he is clearly a very tough and dangerous guy.. He is one of my favourites, hats off to him, I think he is a genuine person and a worthy world champion !

Who other than Spence would though? Bob has already put the huge roadblock up on that saying Spence needs to get a different promoter and make it a PPV fight before it will happen.

Thurman or Garcia are two names. Porter is another one. Brook would have been a good fight but I'm not sure when he can fight again.
Bob mentioned that he may fight the winner of the Pacquiao and Horn rematch which wouldn't be awful. Spence is definitely the best fight to be made though

This seems a real possibility. Top Rank wants no part of Garcia/Lomachenko even though Klimas and Loma want it. Would be a way to quiet the noise.

Lets get this right - Indongo is a far bigger betting outsider than McGregor to beat Floyd. The silly Floyd mismatch is considered more competitive than the super duper shiny belts fight.
Indongo didn't look like a P4P world-conqueror beating a virtual "shot" Burns. He's a tall bloke with a rinse and repeat left hand that showed a good engine in a fight he was allowed to dominate and control.
Crawford KO within 6. (7/2)
So you big up Marriaga who has 0 good wins, is 0-3 in title fights for a fight moving up in weight. But steal the shine off a guy who is trying to do what has only been done once since the 80's and is fighting in his division. The division he has won 2 titles in traveling to his opponents home towns. Interesting completely backwards perspective.
I agree that Crawford wins though, just not within 6.
I never "bigged up" Marriaga.
My point is about FANS not fighters, there's no criticism or "shine stealing" going on.
If you understood my points you would realise the Marriaga situation is perfectly consistent with this. Belts dazzle your wide eyes but the substance behind them is all that matters. Marriaga is a better opponent than Indongo.

Re: Terence Crawford vs. Julius Indongo ESPN
Teddy Atlas has Thurman as #4 p4p? Haha.

I see it as Garcia, to clear Loma's path or Pac/Horn winner. With Pac/Horn winner far more likely. Top Rank loves to pass the WBO belt around.

Re: Terence Crawford vs. Julius Indongo ESPN
Just think Crawford is definitely a bridge too far for Mikey Garcia with both peaking but both rising in different weight. Crawford already struggling to make weight. Man I just want Spence v Crawford next month ;D

You said he "burgled" and said he "was allowed to dominate". If you don't realizing that is stealing shine, you know what. You are clearly being deceptive again. It's your thing, I get it.
Suggesting I am about belts is just more of your deception. I constantly talk about fights. Fights.
You are the one that leads people, like calling Mijey a 140 fighter when he was at 130 just a couple fights ago. He isn't a 140 fight and you know it. But, again, leading, deceiving. Read your own words. You want to not steal shine, perhaps don't say guys burgled or were allowed. Just say he kicked their asses. Like what happened, not what you want people to see.

Re: Terence Crawford vs. Julius Indongo ESPN
This dude just traveled to every champions home to fight and Fenster wants to disrespect that, fuck that. Indongu did exactly what all fighters should do
-
Re: Terence Crawford vs. Julius Indongo ESPN
It's the Razor Ruddock'ism. When a rep is pretty much based on 2 big losses. At least Indongo was near same weight class ;D and won what got him there.

So because you don't understand me I have to change the way I post? Behave. I am not American, i'll speak however I like.
I decieve people? No, you're paranoid. And you just admitted you don't even know what I mean half the time.
"Burgled" is a COMPLIMENT!!! It's merely colourful lexicon, instead of blandly writing "Indongo twice won belts away from home." A "shot" Burns wasn't able to do anything about being dominated ("shot" implies a non-shot Burns would have done much better). I was making a case for why Crawford would win EASY, why Crawford was worth betting on by early KO! How do you expect someone to make a case for a betting angle without offering reasons? I said similar things about Indongo before he faced Burns.
Garica fought Broner at what weight? 140!!! Garcia is currently RING ranked in what division? 140!!! How the funk is telling the TRUTH deceptive? Stop with the nonsense.

Stop lying. You don't understand my posts so instead of making incorrect assumptions just leave it.
I never once insulted Indongo or Crawford. If you and your friends think belts make a fighter great, fine. I don't. I judge fighters by how and who they fight. That's all.
((lets keep the topic about boxing/Crawford not each other :)))

If around today, Ruddock would be facing Lucas Browne? Parker? Wilder? Hughie Fury? Would you give him a chance, or the Lewis/Tyson losses exposed him?
In a day and age where belts are two-a-penny the quality per division still varies. A challenger in one division could easily be a "champion" in another. It's all circumstance, timing and "luck." If you base everything on belts then guys like Broner are the greats of this era. Many a world-class fighter never becomes "champion."

Re: Terence Crawford vs. Julius Indongo ESPN
I am posting but did not read this thread since the fight. I was watching the undercards on a plane coming back from Arizona. It had been a miserable flight but the fight came on during the last leg betwixt Baltimore and Hartford. Normally I can't wait to get of the plane but moments prior to the fight the pilot announced final descent. I really was hoping that we would need a holding pattern so I could watch the fight. I love Crawford, everything he does in the ring is slick. I'm gonna watch it tomorrow on ZOG tube, if he lost I will be amazed. Anyway hope you all enjoyed the fight. I need to avoid this thread for a day or so.
-
Re: Terence Crawford vs. Julius Indongo ESPN
Sorry meant to say I'll watch it on you tube. Probably take a break at like 2a and watch it. When I was watching the undercard the gentleman sitting next to me was leaning over watching it with me. I think he was a bit annoyed as my wife got a seat in business class next to him so I joined her, I think he was expecting the whole section to himself but in the end boxing brought us together
-
Re: Terence Crawford vs. Julius Indongo ESPN
The repeat or delayed highlights are on sky now?
-
-
Crawford scores a knock down in round 2.
Crawford is poised and calm. Quality fighter.
-
Crawford stops him with a body shot in the 3rd.
I thought the fight would be much harder.
Undisputed and undefeated superlightweight champion.

The ref was horrible to let Whyte's opponent keep getting up and taking a beating.

Re: Terence Crawford vs. Julius Indongo ESPN
I thought Indongo was disappointing. He looked like he was getting tangled up in his own feet (and both guys were fighting southpaw, so there was no clashing of feet), plus he was massively overreaching with his left.
He started those lefts from so far back, and telegraphed them so that Crawford was able to counter him and beat him to the punch all the time.
Crawford looked excellent, but I really do think Indongo had a really bad night in the office.
