Ruthless rocco == the perennial pac hater since he joined this forum. LOL.
Adrien Broner: “I beat him. Everybody out there knows I beat him. I controlled the fight, he was missing. I hit him clean more times. I beat him …I did this for the hood. Y’all know I beat that boy. They are trying to get that money with Pacquiao and Floyd.”

The man is delusional.
I thought the official scorecards were too close, it should have been something like 119-109 for Pacquiao.

Hey @brucelee. I'd love to see you punch back at this:

Broner won 2-3 rounds.
Manny was the aggressor, never looked tired and had him in trouble in x2 of the later rounds.
Manny also gave Broner some good body shots.
For a 40 year old fighter I think he did well..and I would like a Thurman or winner of Khan vs Crawford fight next.
Manny wants and deserves the big money fights...unfortunately, Floyd is not coming back for the rematch.
Broner might be young in the game but he can’t pull the trigger anymore.
Maidana took something from him that will never come back.
Does he tho? Hasn't the PED cheat made enough money throughout his illustrious and infamous career?

This is a pac broner thread but I will oblige.
Have you been in the Philippines? The way you post those stories clearly says you really do not know what is happening in my country.
As a lawyer, I am also against extrajudicial killings. But you know what? I am,in a way, glad it happened. The streets in the Philippines are now much, much safer.
Besides, first world countries can talk all they want about respect for life. In a country like ours, where dangerous drugs are a real menace and where it seems to be unsolvable, I am glad something is being done about it.
Anyway, it has not been proven that the government is behind it.
By the way, a time will come when our standard of living will be like yours because of our current government. When that time comes, let us talk again about extrajudicial killing.
For now, let us go back to broner and your rabid hate for pac. 😂😂😂😂
I scored it 117-111
Broner is a pure twat, when he said 'bring your mother fucking ass over here, I got a lot to say' interviewer was just like 'awww hell naw dawg, we do this professionally or not at all'
as soon as the interviewer said 'you threw less than 8 punches a round' Broner stops him and says 'well it sounds like you was already against me'
bit of a persecution complex there Adrien, you got beat by an old man.
only won 3 of his last 7 fights, lost 4 fights in total, I know that people put too much stock in the big 0 but you only have to look at the names that AB has beat and the names that have beat AB to see what his level is.
ONE-SIDED BEATDOWN Manny Pacquiao vs Adrien Broner result: 40-year-old Filipino dominates loudmouthed American, calls out Floyd Mayweather
Scores of 117-111, 116-112, 116-112 saw Pacquiao roll back the years
Manny Pacquiao gave Adrien Broner a comprehensive drubbing and then proceeded to call Floyd Mayweather on Saturday night.
However, retired, 50-0 legend Mayweather took no notice of the challenge from Pacquiao ringside at the MGM Grand, and it looks as though that rematch won’t be happening any time soon.
As for the fight itself, it began tentatively as the 40-year-old Pacquiao made a few offensive lunges and Broner countered in the opener.
Manny utilised his jab to break through his foe’s guard, hurling combinations at the American who had little answer early on.
Adrien Broner attempted to tie up his opponent and frustrate him in the third, but still ate multiple southpaw straight left hands.
He fired his own right counters, but could not land with much consistency throughout the bout, except in the fourth which was seemingly his best session of the night.
In the middle rounds, the Filipino pursued Broner around the ring with mixed success, but was still comfortably outscoring his opponent who simply wasn’t throwing enough leather.

Come the seventh, Manny Pacquiao made a major breakthrough.
The sequence started with one clean left hand which had Adrien Broner badly hurt up against the ropes. He clung on for dear life to avoid being relentlessly blasted with combinations.
The American survived the round and then seemed content to merely survive the fight, as he saw out the remaining minutes in a similar fashion to how he did in his last defeat to Mikey Garcia – with little apparent desire to turn things around.
Come the final bell, the 29-year-old was soundly beaten and the judges declared Pacquiao a 117-111, 116-112, 116-112 unanimous decision victor.
“I feel so happy that I did my best in the fight. I thank God for this victory,” said the winner in his post-fight interview.
“At the age of 40 I just want to give my best.
“I proved it again, at the age of 40, Manny Pacquiao shall continue.”
The eight-weight world champion was then asked about a rumoured potential rematch with former rival Floyd Mayweather, to which he answered: “Tell him to come back to the ring and we will fight, I’m willing to fight again.”
Mayweather, sat ringside, gave no response.

I thought it was a fun if slightly meaningless fight. Easy Manny win. Best 40 year old you will ever see IMO.
Manny should retire. While be beat Broner soundly, that was NOT the Manny we knew. Sometimes you get old and preoccupied with other stuff, man. He should just retire off of this win.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RUtx77T10Hg
Manny obviously has a bad cold which likely made him feel a little lethargic and under the weather and still he dominated Broner. I also read recently that Manny likes to read and play chess. That is fantastic and elevates him even more.
@brucelee You can be my lawyer anytime.
Most interesting thing about that is seeing Roach at an Al Haymon event. Top Rank is cutting him out. For a long time all things TR ran through the Wild Card and that gym got a cut from a bunch of guys that just passed through there.
It is pretty clear now that Wild Card West, now Upchurch Boxing, and Abel Sanchez have phased out Roach and his gym. Freddie didn't do anything but the media workouts for this fight any way. I hope he saved his money because he's out.
Even though he regularly reminds everyone that he's a dick, I was still kinda hoping Broner might have some success in the fight. Win? Not so sure about that, but make an argument of it, maybe dump the old man on his arse at some point. It was an odd fight, Broner did what he does and sacrificed any chance of winning in an effort to distance himself from losing. I'm not saying he could have won if he tried, but trying would have been a good start. Manny was a bit weird too, flying around doing the Amir Khan running whilst punching routine, strange stuff. Broner's post fight antics would have been quite funny if it weren't for them being a bit tragic, he's clearly got a screw loose. In the post fight presser he was running through his usual routine about being hood and all that jazz, then there would be a pause in the questioning whilst John or Dave from weloveboxing.com prepared a shit question to fire at Broner. During those pauses I genuinely thought he might cry.
Adrien Broner post-fight press conference: American threatens to ‘f*** up’ journalist after defeat by Manny Pacquiao
Adrien Broner threatened to “f*** up” an American journalist after having his belief that he beat Manny Pacquiao questioned.
The American welterweight lost a wide decision to the Filipino, landing 50 punches in the entire fight and displaying a conservative approach throughout.
And after landing one punch in the 12th round, ESPN’s Dan Rafael questioned whether Broner truly believed he won the fight.
“Hell yes, I won the fight,” Broner said. “When you believe you want cheese on that burger, you know what you’re looking for?
“Hell yes, I thought I won, yes, we got a love-hate relationship, I’ve got the mic, I’ll f*** you up. I really did believe I won the fight.”
Broner also insulted Showtime presenter Jim Gray, barking at him to come and interview him in order to make further excuses for the defeat.
“Bring your mother f****** ass over here, I got a lot to say,” the boxer said.
“They trying to get that money again with Pacquiao and Floyd but it’s cool, I ain’t worried about it I’m still that n***** man. I’m on top Cincinnati stand up, westside. Two-five."
Gray then informed Broner of his recent record, which includes losses to Pacquiao, Shawn Porter and Mikey Garcia and a draw with Jessie Vargas in his last seven outings.
Broner didn’t take kindly to the comment, shrugging off his mediocre record against the best in the sport and insisting he would beat the 60-year-old seven times out of seven.

“I’m 3-3-1 in my last 7 fights but I’d be 7-0 against you,” Broner added.
Pacquiao, still the WBA regular champion, looks set to face Floyd Mayweather next and not super champion Keith Thurman.

Manny Pacquiao ‘may have to retire from boxing’ after suffering eye injury during Adrien Broner victory
Everything seemed fine following the win on Saturday night, but Pacquiao woke up in great distress Sunday morning
Manny Pacquiao proved he still had plenty left in the tank with a comprehensive unanimous decision victory over Adrien Broner in Las Vegas on Saturday.
Straight after recording the victory that moved the Filipino senator’s record to 61-7-2, Pacquiao called for a money-spinning rematch with Floyd Mayweather.
However, according to reports, the boxing legend may have suffered a career-ending injury during his win at MGM Grand Garden Arena.
It’s believed that some of Pacquiao’s camp fear that the boxer might have suffered a detached retina. The 40-year-old reportedly complained of pain and vision loss in his left eye the morning after the fight, according to the New York Daily News’ Wallace Matthews.
Matthews also reported a different source in Pacquiao’s camp claimed the injury was a minor corneal scratch from the tape on Broner’s gloves.
https://talksport.com/wp-content/upl...60&quality=100
Pacquiao is reportedly scheduled to fly home to the Philippines to see an eye specialist and if he is indeed diagnosed with a detached retina, that would not only throw a rematch with Mayweather into doubt, but his whole career.
The origin of Pacquiao’s injury reportedly stems from a minor corneal scratch from the tape on Broner’s gloves. Matthews cited a different source inside Pacquiao’s camp for that information.
Given the ease of Pacquiao’s victory – despite what Broner had to say about the outcome post-fight – it’s quite shocking to learn the injury he has suffered.
In the past two years, names like Beibut Shumenov and Anthony Ogogo have headed into retirement and semi-retirement respectively because of devastating eye issues.
One has to think a man with such responsibilities and many passions as Pacquiao wouldn’t want to risk his vision with another fight, should that be the case.

Hey there Gandalf! Long time no talk. I miss our discussion here. Is Bilbo still alive? I noticed he has not been posting here. It has been more or less 4 years since I actively posted here.
I had to leave saddoboxing to prepare for the bar examinations. I passed the bar 3 years ago and busy with my law practice. 😊😊😊
I am back to Pac nut hugging. 😂😂😂
Until boxing orgs grow a pair and begin sanctioning useless bums like Boner for the shit they spew all over televised events, we're going to continue having mindless punks like this asshole.
By the time he's 40 he'll be (a) dead, (b) in prison, (c) some drunk, fat has-been sleeping under a bridge somewhere, or (d) who the f*ck knows or cares.
Damn has this been posted yet
spokesman for boxer Manny Pacquiao says the famed fighter’s Los Angeles home was robbed at about the time he was in the ring with rival Adrien Broner in Las Vegas.
Spokesman Mike Quinn confirmed the burglary to NBC News.
Los Angeles police said a burglary was reported about 4:15 p.m. Sunday in the Larchmont neighborhood. It was unclear if anyone was at home at the time.
The 40-year-old dominated over Broner, who is at least a decade younger, shutting down talk of possible retirement

You Pactards gonna blame Broner for this...?
Hey......! I hadn't thought about that. Good idea, rocco. Maybe they should do some digging.
If they interrogate Boner they'd better bring along a translator (hood-to-English).
@brucelee It is good to see you back. As you can tell I have become a nuthugger too. Bilbo is gone but he remains in our hearts and shall remain there always.
Manny Pacquiao Q&A: 'I Don't Feel 40 in the Ring'
Manny Pacquiao proved he still packs plenty of punch in his unanimous decision win over Adrien Broner on Saturday at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Pacquiao threw 568 punches to Broner’s 295 and cruised in the 12-round victory, showing he still has the speed, power and endurance to be elite (SI.com scored the fight 118-110). He might not be the fighter he once was, but at 40 years old, Pacquiao showed he’s still one of the marquee names in the sport.
SI.com’s Chris Mannix caught up with Pacquiao after his win over Broner to discuss what’s next for the Filipino legend.
SI: So—your first fight at 40. How did you feel in there?
MP: I felt fine. I don't feel 40 in the ring. I feel the same as I always did, just more experienced. The biggest difference is in training. The Jeff Horn fight [in 2017], I felt burned out in training. In the fight my mind wanted to do something, but my body was too tight. I overtrained. The last two fights, I adjusted. Sometimes when I push myself, I can't recover overnight. I have to give my body an extra day to rest.
SI: Broner was pretty upset—he thought he clearly won the fight.
MP: Maybe he was overwhelmed because he survived the 12 rounds? [Trainer] Buboy [Fernandez] kept telling me don't be too aggressive, don't be careless, take your time, it will come. Broner is a counterpuncher, but he didn't want to make any action. So I had to make adjustments to make the action.
MANNIX: Pacquiao Dispatches Broner—But Is a Bigger Fight on the Horizon?
SI: When you saw Floyd Mayweather sitting ringside, did you think he was going to get in the ring after and agree to fight you?
MP: I wasn't thinking about that. I knew he was there. He came into my dressing room before, said good luck. I'm still here in boxing. I want to fight the best fighters out there. If he cannot fight on my level, he better stay retired.
SI: When do you plan to fight again?
MP: May or June. I have to balance training with my work in the [Filipino] Senate.
https://s.yimg.com/it/api/res/1.2/6X...f9578baf1c4d51
SI: How long do you want to keep fighting?
MP: I think I can fight for two or three more years. My family is very supportive. I've explained to them, my wife, my kids, my mom, this is what I love to do. I feel good, I see the doctor for regular checks.
SI: But why are you still fighting? You're a first-ballot Hall of Famer.
MP: I'm passionate about the sport. It's why I'm still here. [If I retired] I'd have no problem with money. I'm blessed by God. I just want to fight.
SI: So back to the Philippines, back to the Senate?
MP: I'll be in the office [this] week. There are a lot of bills that need to pass. We just passed the tobacco tax increase. That was very important. The government needs the extra money. I passed a bill for the protection of overseas workers. I want to start a Philippine boxing commission. We need protections, proper requirements to help fighters. I want to make ROTC mandatory. We need more soldiers. Not only for wars, but for dealing with disasters.
SI: Do you want to run for president of your country?
MP: Right now I don't have a plan to run for president. But if that comes calling, why not?

[QUOTE=brucelee;1510213]Disappointing if true, I was hoping to see Crolla face a real test this year instead of taking on Salidos leftovers. I thought he could be in the conversation with Rocky Fielding for fighter of the century so far, but he doesn’t seem willing to prove himself the same way.
