Before anyone accuses me of anything, the past 2 posts have been satirical.
Nearly a thousand people died in the UK from Covid 19 yesterday, the worst figures in Europe since this nightmare began and yet the majority of the mainstream press were far more interested in celebrating Johnson the incompetent fool leaving ICU. Thousands died in the UK in the last week and there is no way you can deny his governments policies have contributed to making that figure so high. The disconnect from reality in this country right now from people insisting that people tug there forelock and bow down before a bloke you would barely trust to wash the dishes is insane. Then to rub salt into the wounds, Hancock the absolute bastard that he is, has the cheek to chastise health care workers (many of whom have no PPE whatsoever) for using PPE when he doesn't think they need to. That is beyond the pale.
Those of you who voted for the bloke and his party must surely now see how nobody is holding them to account, and with such a compliant press and media base sparing them from scrutiny, they are being allowed to fail British citizens day in, day out. They really don't give a shit about NHS workers or the general public. They are refusing ventilators from Europe in a childish effort to pretend that remaining a sovereign nation or some other invented crap, is more important than stopping people from dying.
Hancock is now blaming the lack of PPE for NHS workers on the public buying masks  Unbelievable stuff. This is way beyond party politics and the man along with the rest of the cabinet, are way out of their depth. It reminds me of Geoffrey Howe talking about how Thatcher had tied British industry and finance workers hands behind their backs in her ideological attitude toward Europe in the speech that helped end her reign. (Even she would be better than this rabble and I would never imagine myself saying that in my lifetime)
This is exactly what this government has done to the NHS. Howe said
"It is rather like sending your opening batsmen to the crease only for them to find, the moment the first balls are bowled, that their bats have been broken before the game by the team captain. The time has come for others to consider their own response to the tragic conflict of loyalties with which I have myself wrestled for perhaps too long."
These workers are dying because of the Governments negligence.
Here on the UK Four nurses and an ambulance man have died in the last hour ffs.
And also this:
Copied from a friend
UK people ....Please don't blame each other for the number of people affected by Covid 19 and the numbers who will die.........
I know we are all moaning about crowded open areas but we have all been told we are allowed to go and exercise once a day. The park by me is busy all day long but when you have the whole population off work then that is a lot of people out at one time.
As this crisis deepens and the death toll mounts, a narrative is going to emerge that will be very seductive to many of us. It will all be the fault of “the people.”
The people who failed to practice social distancing.
The people who hoarded.
The people who didn’t listen to the government.
The people who didn’t listen to the science.
The people. Those selfish people. Look at them in their parks.
The government will start trotting this out. Right wing media will push it hard. Police forces have already begun assigning blame to “the people”.
Many of us will feel the tug of this seductive reasoning. Our brains will be tempted to lash out at “the people.” When we do, we must remember some things:
- The government had 3 months to prepare. This was a train coming down the tracks.
- At first we were told the plan was herd immunity. Then it wasn’t.
- As the first few people started to die, Boris Johnson boasting of shaking the hands of hospitalised coronavirus patients. This was a week before the lockdown.
- Why weren’t we in lockdown like other European countries, some asked. Trust us, they said.
- Then we got the lockdown order. What did they say? The initial government advice was only “essential workers could travel to work”. A day later this was changed to “essential travel for work.” See the difference? There are screenshots of this.
They cut the number of tubes and trains to work so people had to crowd together. They allowed some greedy businesses to insist workers came in to work or loose their jobs. There should have been a blanket clear rule about essential workers. Clear messages. Strict rules would have helped.
- They told us to practice social distancing as MPs crowded around each other in the House of Commons.
- They said only the old and immuno-comprised were at risk. Then healthy twenty-somethings started dying.
- They said the NHS could cope, then they started building field hospitals in stadiums.
- They said the NHS had the protective equipment it needed, then we logged on to social media.
- They said we were in it together, then they got tested before the frontline workers.
- They said there was no such thing as society and it was survival of the fittest, then said we needed to show solidarity.
- They clapped when they voted against a pay-rise for NHS nurses in 2017, then they clapped for the NHS.
Why aren't they giving protective gear to nurses and doctors now?
- They spent a decade telling us cuts were needed to save the economy, then they said the only way to save the economy was to spend trillions.
- They got us to vote for Brexit by rubbishing “experts,” then told us to trust experts.
- They told us retail workers were low skilled, then said they were key workers.
- They said homelessness was sad but inevitable, then they order it ended overnight.
So yes, “the people” ended up a little fucking confused.
Because our so-called leaders have utterly failed to lead.
They don't know what they stand for; they couldn’t believe the world could change so quickly; they resisted “alarmism” when the only proper response was to be alarmed; they had no idea how to use the power of the state, having spent a decade dismantling it; they were arrogant and complacent, wallowing in privilege. The fundamental duty of government is to keep us safe. That’s what we pay them to do. They have failed.
As the death toll mounts, remember that our leaders are to blame, not “the people,” and we must resist the temptation to blame each other.
I agree Beanz the economy means more than peoples lives it seems the government were slow in lockdown my wife and daughter only had PPE last week in the hospital.
The people in care homes are sacrifices it seems workers no PPE and the residents a terrible state of affairs.
Just when you think it could not get any worse Priti Patel the fucking empathy vacuum who is about as thick as a submarine door instead of apologising for the lack of PPE provision says
"I'm sorry if people feel like there have been failings"
You what?
Basically she is saying. "No i will not apologise and you have got it wrong to think we need to apologise"
They the Government are elected to do things like acquire sufficient tests, ventilators and PPE kitsand yet they do not give a shit about failing to do so.
This is an example of how much the government is lying to you. They don't care about saving lives and they sure as hell don't give a shit about supporting British business unless you are a Tory party lapdog. Thread here -

Ah let's take a gander at this "FlakMagnet #FBPE #Rejoin & Remain Indoors"....hmmm says in his bio "British European". Looks like an interesting fellow
Trump is doing fine, he roasted the media with their own words the other day.
You think I do "telesales" HA! Yes the trustafarian who does telesales because obviously those go together  .
Trump is going to win in a landslide. Joe Biden is a nobody, even worse he's a nobody with dementia and Trump is going to drag him come November, but that is IF Biden remains the candidate....big IF.
You said you sell insurance. Do you? I can imagine anything more than telesales being a bit of a struggle for you to be honest.
So how on earth is that a key job? and why do you have to travel in 2020 to an office to do it?
Go and post in the Trump thread with all your delusional nonsense if you have the bottle. There is plenty to talk about where he is concerned and yet as usual you hide when he is being exposed as nothing more than a realty TV star and a compulsive liar.
That's what I do. Well I guess you'll have to work on your imagination because you're off by more than a bit.
Hey man the government said it's "essential" argue with them.
OK so you ask me to post about him and then respond with "Not here!!!!" OK....I mean I think he's doing fine, he's doing daily pressers, the media is flummoxed as to how to deal with him because his pressers are bringing in big time views and if the media aren't playing middle man and spinning the stories then they don't control the narrative, HE does and again he's doing rather well. I'll go in the Trump thread and have a look see....(where I'm sure to not be attacked for "OMG you post all the time!" )
You are the one telling us you sold insurance. Nobody forced you to tell us a lie if that is what it is.
You seem to want to know every single detail of my life and yet you can't even tell us what you job is?
Nobody else here as a problem telling us how they earn a living. Why the big secret?
Question: You said you sell insurance. Do you?
Answer: That's what I do.
Now when you get into saying I'm in "telesales" is where you're wrong. Do I call people? Sometimes, but not as much as they call me. Do I work at some sort of phonebank/cubicle farm office? HELL NO.
Anything else?
Fucking hell, before this current situation, I didn’t know much about newsreaders and reporters, but these daily bulletins are making me realise just how many wankers there are in the media.
The award for Prize prick of the century goes to this cunt Robert Peston. What a fucking wanker he is.
Every time it’s his turn to ask a question , he tries to grill the government like he’s some sort of superstar.
He’s an arrogant cunt and pretty much a stranger to the truth.
He’s grilling the health secretary about when the lockdown will end , talking to him like he’s a 5 year old.
He says we’re past our peak , when the facts show we’re not and he says that other countries are looking at ending the lockdown, which is also a lie.
In recent days France and Italy have extended the lockdown , and they are further into this shit than we are.
If you look at the graphs , the UK is mirroring Italy when it comes to new cases and death rates and 10 to 14 days behind. Yet they’ve extended lockdown till May 3rd. And trust me, their lockdown is far far stricter than what we have here.
That should be enough to stop pricks like Peston asking meaningless vacuous questions, let alone the fact that over 3,500 people have been fined for breaching lockdown rules.
Basically he should look at the info in front of him and stop stirring the shit up for the sake of it!
Death and taxes are starting to wonder what they have to do around here.
I am far more worried about the wankers in cabinet including the PM and Hancock than anyone in the media simply doing their job. If the cabinet had their way would would have had an even longer wait for a lockdown and thousands more dead. The media are being warned not to ask tricky questions. Peston asking about an exit strategy and care home strategy is not at all vacuous or meaningless. You are suggesting that the government should be able to do what the hell they like without being questioned on it. Hancock is like a 5 year old. He has done a terrible job. He is woefully under-qualified for it. Amazed that at this point anyone can still be making excuses for the butchers in charge of handling this.
You said your Government described it as 'essential'. What other kind of insurance selling would be seen as essential ? If you want to be obtuse maybe choose a thread not about Boris and his gang of bullshitters to do so in.
I suppose selling insurance and selling bullshit like politicians do, is not so different, but you can not really compare the USA with the UK.
And rather than adequate PPE, Covid testing for Carers and those they look after as well as including the numbers of those dying in official totals we are supposed to thank Hancock the bastard for what?
........................a fucking logo and a pin badge? :vd:
Mental
and people are still defending these monsters
Hey, we all know things could’ve been done better, and yes Lives could’ve been saved. But I get angry with this blame culture, revisionalists , wise after the event.
But pricks like Peston are just shit stirrers, it’s not helpful or constructive. If the lockdown was lifted and the pandemic worsened, do you think he would have blood on his hands?
Trust me, I’m no Tory sympathiser , but this isn’t a policy thing, this is a WAR and we need to pull in the same direction.
I’m not saying they should be able to do as they please, but at the same time their every move shouldn’t be criticised by cunts that are more ignorant than them.
To be fair, Trump is nuts , and at times a dangerous fucking buffoon, but the way he puts the reporters on the spot and tells them what he thinks of them is fair play in my book.
An adviser has blasted Boris Johnson for skipping five Cobra meetings on coronavirus as the outbreak in China worsened and Covid-19 spread around the world.
Amid criticism that it was too slow to act, the Government now faces claims that Britain was in a poor state of readiness, calls to order protective gear were ignored and its own scientists’ warnings fell on deaf ears.
It is feared that the failings may have cost thousands of lives.
The Prime Minister is said to have missed the first meeting on January 24, which lasted an hour, and then four more as the virus became a massive threat to the UK. ...

A man more interested in going off on holiday and spending weekends in the country shooting etc. He has spent far less time at work than previous Prime Ministers and his incompetence and poor leadership and example has cost countless British Lives. If you vote for clowns you get a circus.
The article below from The Times is supposed to pave the way for Murdoch's paid stooge Gove to take over. The ERG do not want that though and want Hancock and Johnson to take the can (they see them both as Pro Europe and so the worse kind of Tories). Who do they want to take over? Someone who deliberately muffed up their own press conference that they were forced to undertake in order to hasten the departure of Hancock and Johnson.
They want to put Patel in.
God help us if that happens
You heard it here first
Here is the full story of Johnson missing meetings and not being up to the job that Murdoch is hiding behind a paywall -https://archive.is/jiobB

We would be much safer with Corbyn the communist and Two Left Shoes Abbopotamus .
How many Brits need to die before you start holding those responsible to account? The truth is we would be safer with anyone in charge but the bastards you voted for.
They are a group who dithered and were willing to sacrifice British citizens on the advice of an unelected eugenics fan with the idiotic herd immunity rubbish.
A prime minister who avoided 5 Cobra meetings in a row, boasted about shaking hands with covid 19 infected patients and continued his history of avoiding resbonsibility and slacking, and a cabinet of idiots who have all by consistently voting to undermine the NHS, have lied every day when saying they will protect health care workers who are dying every day.
A lot of those workers are bame citizens like Abbot and many have for years pleaded with others to be patriotic and not vote for a tory party that has for years sold the country off, and treated the working man like expendable scum.
Desperate barrel scraping to avoid admitting you backed a bunch of murdering crooks.
Brilliant and very succinct summary of why we are where we are in the UK today under a PM who has been the most useless in British history. https://www.theguardian.com/commenti...P=share_btn_fb
Johnson back to work on Monday apparently.
The UK letting in immigrants to do jobs without checks whilst denying everyone else the same right. Yes, Boris should resign. Time for something entirely new.
Let's use this opportunity to make Britain better and not surrender to the enemy within

Let's hope Johnson will remember exactly who helped save his life and have made the NHS what it is

Yes Donald, you do look at the salient question very differently from the usual people on this forum.
I'm intrigued by your viewpoint .... and I wasn't even required to press the 'like' button to see more. This is astounding stuff.
Tell me more ...... :detective:
That's all very well Beanz, but what about Donald Simon's thoughts on internet marketing? Surely that is a subject we all want elucidation on?
