Looks like Povetkin-Charr is on
Alexander Povetkin vs. Manuel Charr Set, 5/30 In Moscow - Boxing News
glad charr got a big fight, i dont think he is great but he at least went at vitali and was stopped on a cut... funny how vitali became famous for being stopped on a cut to the retiring champions and vitalis career ended in a similar way... obviously vitali was beating charr easily so it isn't exactly the same... some similarities... Charr wasnt doing great v vitali but at least he made an effort and he has looked alright beating sub par opponents...
Will be a good fight to see where both guys are, if povetkin has handled his defeat well and trains well then it should be a wide decision for him or even a late ko

I dont think it will be much of a challenge at all for wladimir... Although I have only been watch pulev in ihs recent fights.. he does not have much power at all and I think wladimir does everything else better or at least as good than pulev.. I thnk it will be a cagey 12 round ud for wladimir but maybe it could be fairly close on the scorecards but I dont think wladimir will be strecthed at all.
It's a good fight for wladimir and will add to his resume well, pulev has worked his way up and it should be a pretty big deal on mainland europe,
Pulev is a good opponent for Wlad!
I am really looking forward to Arreola/Stiverne 2!! :)

Fres Oquendo-Ruslan Chagaev in Talks For June 7th
oquendo v chagaev could be interesting.. chagaev was never as good as before his couple of injury/virus plagued years and was up to 250 pounds but he is a skilled tough guy, I hope oquendo has something left too it could be an interesting fight and a must win for chagaev if he wants to be relevant again
I always liked ol' Chaggy. I think he could make one last decent run but he needs to get back into the 220s. Like you said, he ballooned up to 240-250 in recent fights. Could be a solid fight if Oquendo has anything left. All of Fres' decision losses have been somewhat disputed. He could never catch a break.

I havent seen oquendo since the weird decision v mormeck but it looks like he hasnt gained a lot of weight and has stayed in good shape, even though he's 40 if he's in good condition he could win I think.. I agree chagaev needs to be around 220 he is no weakling but he's not like sam peter where he could weigh 250+ and just club people around, also he's a bit short with a smaller reach so he needs to be back at a good weight like when he beat valuev and ruiz(I had him winning both fights there), where he can move around easier and use his skills to defeat guys, if he comes into the oquendo fight too heavy I could see Fres being quicker and winning a ud although like I said I haven't watched oquendo for a while..
I'm looking forward to this fight ! I like chagaev too he had a pretty good amateur career, beat savon although his gold medal was taken away after his questionable exhibiton fights whilst he was still meant to be an amateur..... Also he was usually a heavyweight rather than a super heavyweight in the amateurs so 250 is just far too big for ruslan!
He won a world title didnt he ? There's worse things he could be!
