You will LOVE Dr. Strangelove....that is one of my favorite movies of all time! Brilliant flick!

Tomorrow night, bring it on! It is my years objective to watch every classic film. To knock them down, one by one. Like that weird bad guy going to town on the Great Wall of China in Superman 4.
I really enjoy these classic films. I have next to no interest in Mission Impossible 4 or any of that modern junk. What's the point? There are brilliant things in the past to enjoy. Why ignore that to see something modern that is most likely rubbish?
Ooh, I went to the Cinema...but you saw a pile of twaddle. What was the point? Are you gay? Do you want to see Tom Cruise close up because he is impossible to see in real life without binoculars?
Just seems silly to me. Who needs cinema, when you can have a great film in black and white and in the comfort of home.
Very true...there are so few movies I WANT to see in the theatres now. In fact the only ones I do want to see are older movies shown at the historic theatre downtown #1 They are cheaper #2 They serve good beer #3 They are great for dates!
Dr. Strangelove is right up your ally miles, it's political, satire, dark comedy, brilliant actors one of the greatest directors ever to grace God's green Earth! And although she wasn't in much Tracy Reed as Miss Foreign Affairs is gorgeous! The dialogue, the music, the acting....it's just a great movie all around.
Strangelove was very fun. Quite a few funny moments too. Sellers all over the place as everyone. I really enjoyed it.
As a man who has only had sex about 8 times this year my eyes are probably more primed than most. In my defense, I haven't quite been myself. Still, great film and very, very funny. That should not be overlooked with the let's kill all the world ending.
Memento tomorrow. Supposedly a very good film.
Memento was a blast. The main character is a bit like me minus the alcohol. I have horrible holes in my memory and can't remember huge swathes of my life. I should have got tattoos documenting how much I drank. Much better than cutting myself up with a knife.
Watching Snatch again, it is funny. Brad looks the dogs bollocks as a unlicensed fighter.
This is work of art, and the most romantic film ever made, in the most romantic city in the world.
And is now on utube in hd.

I watched Midnight Sting again ;D
Forget Rocky or Rocky 2, Raging Bull, they all fade in comparison to Midnight Sting.
I watched American History X last night and really enjoyed it. Turning in a paper titled Mein Kampf sounds like a thing I might have done, but it would only have been satire. I once shaved my head, but it was because I was upset with a girl and not because of any desire to express my racist soul. I eventually married a yellow person, so nobody can call me a racist. Well they could, but that is because they fail to see humourous nuances within text prose.
Jesus Christ Superstar.
'nuff said.
Remember The Titans - I thought it was great. Denzel does play the same guy in every role though doesn't he?
The fuck?!?!

THAT is what you think I look like? That's fucking ridiculous.....I ought to curb stomp you for even implying such a thing!
Whatever happened to the last film you watched? shucks is that not an awesome enough word. :o
I agree, Lyle is probably a bit like Ed Norton.
I watched Citizen Kane last night and thought it was splendid. A man that just wanted people to love him, but couldn't really give anything more than material things back, and ultimately, despite all his riches, dies empty. A kind of noble quest to start with, but gets all twisted with age and messes up.
Probably every egotists fate.
HAHAHA....this is ridiculous
Citizen Kane is a film that you can really admire the camera work in...there's great artistry with the camera in that film.
I've been hanging on to 'The Lives of Others' for days on end and can't bring myself to watch it for whatever reason.....good thing Netflix doesn't have any late fees.
I watched 'The Lives of Others' last night. It was a quality film very interesting to see how the Socialists lived. I have noticed during my time on this earth that Socialists have a distinct style of dress and this movie really did a good job of portraying that. The Socialists all have wild unkempt hair, don't know how to shave or bathe, wear dark colors all the time, ill fitting suits and jackets, and they all have the same Lenin/Trotsky glasses. They also all chain smoke. Horrid creatures the Socialists.
Watched 21 Grams, did not like it.
Deliverance a classic sure got a pretty pair of lips there boy.;D
Alan Cumming, Vanessa Redgrave, Mos Def, John Lennon.
Mate, I know you're not a hick that loves nothing more than making money and selfishness during the week, and shooting coon-dawgs and taking part in KKK rituals at the weekend.
Although I am a socialist, I do shave and have a shower once or twice a day. My fashion sense is atrocious and more designed for comfort than style, so I'm not going to step into a discussion on that aspect of your stereotype.
Just enjoy the peace and love brother, and the whole world can get along. Or at least not be constantly at each other's throats.
Slsn Cumming is gay so he's never going to look too terribly shitty, but dark suits & crazy hair, I don't want to say anything bad about Vanessa Regrave, but she does dress like a socialist on occasion. John Lennon....dude PLEASE, thats too easy. Mos Def, he's got a bit of hip hop style but I'm certain I can find a pic of him dressed like a socialist.

Uh I think I'm in the wrong forum I thought this was about the last movie you watched. My mistake.;D I just seen Paranormal Activity 3 and it was not to bad.
I had a bit of a gritty film-a-thon last week, watching Eastern Promises, Scum and Made in Britain. All good films, and really enjoyed seeing Scum again especially. Everyone at work has been hearing about how I'm the fucking daddy now.
As for your pictures of people with bad days at the office for style, I don't think you can just point the finger at socialists. And isn't it just typical of a Republican to be excluding gay people?
#1 I didn't "exclude" gay people, apparently the picture of Alan Cumming didn't attach

....that meets the criteria I have listed: crazy hair: check, grey clothing: big check, I can't tell off of that if he looks like he hasn't bathed but hey whatever.

There's another....it's all a part of the "Bohemian" style which is typical of the Socialists.
#2 It's not a "bad day at the office" set of pictures, this is how socialists dress, it's proven in history take any picture of Lenin, for example, Marx, Trotsky......oh yeah, they were snazzy dressers weren't they :shakehead:
....back on topic I watched 'Paths of Glory', solid film. One of the few Kubrick movies I had yet to see, very good. Kirk Douglas at his best.
Madagascar 3 - As good as I expected... Funny and just action the whole way thru.
Galipoli, starring Mel Gibson.....not the best war movie
Watched Layer Cake with Daniel Graig before he was Bond. Good film.
I watched Borat, Bruno and The Dictator over the last few days and thought they were all equally brilliant. The contrast between dumb people and an obvious provocateur is hilarious.
Less so in the dictator, but that was more like a film than a staged documentary.
I watched Goon
I liked it, a good 90 minutes entertainment. Some of the quotes were hilarious.
Following the singing of the national anthem
Halifax Highlanders Sportscaster: Well that was borderline treasonous, and a disgrace to our nation and its proud and storied history. My father didn't kick the Nazis'... and the puck drops!
Half time Team Talk
Gord Ogilvey: Alright boys, listen up. We're sill in this thing. We just need a quick one.
John Stevenson: Listen up Cash!
Gord Ogilvey: We gotta work harder than them, okay?
John Stevenson: Harder than them, guys.
Gord Ogilvey: You know what's hard work? Going through a divorce, she's trying to get all my money now. She can half of it, I don't give a shit. The other half, hard work, mine! Some guys on their team are fuckin' divorced. Three guys there, who's fuckin' marriages are in the fuckin' toilet.
John Stevenson: We're playing divorced guys.
Doug Glatt: Yeah!
Gord Ogilvey: We gotta be fuckin' triceps, biceps, arceps hard!
Doug Glatt: Hard!
Gord Ogilvey: Greek fuckin' underground gay porn hard!
John Stevenson: We're all Adonis's
Gord Ogilvey: Highlanders, gay porn hard!
Doug Glatt: Gay porn hard!
Made me laugh.
I know this is the kind of film to make Miles cry but that makes me like it more.
I finally saw 'Logan's Run', it was a solid film. I forgot which movie I have next in my queue.
Magic Mike - 8)
the new spiderman flick and no I didn't take the gimmicky 3d option.
