I don't believe anyone actually thought the Jan 6th mob was going to "overthrow the government."

If this must be explained, it's the actual act of invading and defiling what used to be untouchable ground by an angry mob. It's the previously unthinkable act of the United States Capitol Building being successfully breached by a lathered-up bunch of Trump-agitated Minions. It's the reality of something that would make the founding fathers roll over in their graves. No one actually thought this invasion was going to accomplish anything.

As I've stated many times before, I didn't like Hillary back in 2016 when she ran against Trump.

But this clip from a 2016 debate should have set off some alarms back then... and foreshadowed what became a terrible reality in 2020.
