Ted - Fucken funny... I was buzzing a little so alcohol did play a role here.
Spider Man - An outstanding film. At 1st I was skeptic about the new guy but he pulls it off.
I also just recently saw online:
Fright Night - It was good for the most part but some parts I was like "Really?" but it's worth renting once it's out.
21 Jump Street - Was much better than what I thought. I underestimated the film.

'Zodiac' ....decent enough movie, but due to the spaced out timing of murders it seemed as though every other shot was "1 year later", "1 $1/2 years later" etc.
Serial killers are intriguing to me from a psychological standpoint, and I am always fascinated by "the ones that got away" like Zodiac & Jack The Ripper, but there are some others that draw my interest as well H.H. Holmes, Albert Fish, Green River Killer, BTK, etc etc. I had heard Leonardo DiCaprio would be starring as H.H. Holmes in an upcoming movie, but I've not seen evidence to prove it.

Just seen Goon on Netflix. Not a bad movie I must say
-
re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
21 Jump Street - I thought it was a good giggle
Spiderman - I put my love for Kirsten Dunst aside and enjoyed this. The web thing bothers me though. I really liked the guy playing Spidey.
-
re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Saw 21 Jump Street too, one of those where you have no expectations so it turns out all right.
Crazy Stupid Love was surprisingly decent.
Horrible Bosses, had higher expectations, and it wasn't like it was bad, it just didn't amaze me. Kind of like the Hangover in that sense. I've had the Assassination of Jessie James by the Coward Robert Ford sitting on my TV table for weeks now and just can't seem to put it in the DVD player. Not sure why.

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
How I Spent My Summer Vacation - Mel Gibson's best film for a long time. Why this wasn't given a cinema release is beyond me. If you liked Payback then this is defo for you - excellent
What do you mean the web thing bothered you Memphis ??
Not seen new Spidey yet

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
I have 'The Artist' in my dvd player at the moment....just waiting for the right time to watch it. I hope it's good, I already think Jean Dujardin is a comic genius and Michael Hazanavicius is a solid director and also Berenice Bejo is hot as well.
after I watch that I am not certain what I have next in my queue...'Helter Skelter' maybe, a made for tv movie about the Manson Family and the murder of Sharon Tate

Without wishing to spoil it for anyone his webs aren't as a result of being bitten by a spider.
If a spider had trainers on could its legs stick to walls?

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
ah I guess they gone back to them being a Peter Parker invention thing - Spidey fans moaned when the Maguire version came out that they didn't like the webs coming out of glands on his wrists.
I get where you coming from cos I kind of though the gland thing was much more believable.
I really should get off my arse and go see it at cinema but I probably won't.....:-\

I was a bit pissed at MI3, why would you drop Thandie Newton? Do whatever it takes to get her in the film and naked.

SPOILER!!! SPOILER!!! SPOILER!!! SPOILER!!!
When they show Johnny pealing off the mask I was like WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?
I thought Crazy Stupid Love was a really good movie... Shit had me rolling and it has to be one of the funnier ending scenes in a movie. How it all unravels is genius.
Horrible Bosses was ok...

Nothing at all mate ;D
Master sent me a message saying Thandie Newton wasnt that hot. Confirming what we all have suspected that he is a massive homo.
I don't know the Spiderman story too well and assumed the web gizmo wasnt something completely new. I just preferred how it was before because that's the only version I know.

Great stuff, seeing it tomorrow night. Watched Batman Begins last night, and will try and find a copy of the dark knight for tonight.

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
I saw Spiderman a few weeks ago and thought it was alright. You've seen half of it before though and despite a name change here and a scenery change there you know it already. My viewing was spoiled for the first 40 minutes by a couple of gossiping teenagers. I had to tell them to pipe down and they did which was nice. I have a lot of experience telling people to shut up or put their phones away and on the whole it has made me dislike cinemas. This made me realise that idiots exist everywhere.
I will definitely see the new Batman as I loved the last one. I am tempted to buy a water pistol and run to the front and see what happens. They have no people in these screenings checking on people which I think is wrong. Mind you, they would probably arrest me for being a terrorist or something which I think is unfair. It is only parody and sick satire. Maybe I won't do that.

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
I went to watch Dark Knight Rises. My boys didnt want to watch it so I went late at night thinking I'd have the place to myself. One of life's simple pleasure for me, the empty cinema. I'm going to have to watch the film again because I kept falling asleep. I reckon I watched 90% of it but I'm sure I missed some crucial bits.
The 90% I did see though, I'm not sure what the fuss is about :-\

Hopefully an audience member would give you as brutal a beating as I would.
Mobile phones and talking are bad though. Cunt! ;D

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Some people have no sense of humour. Being beaten for pretending to use a water pistol is over the top. It is hardly likely to be a real gun in these parts. It isn't America. Knives are the weapon of choice here. And Olympic torches.

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Managed to watch the second Sherlock Holmes movie on sunday night with Robert Downey Jnr and Juud Law, enjoyed the first, and was not let down with the second. The way the director plays out his fight scenes are spot, well worth a watch if ya enjoyed the first one.

I enjoy those movies and all but to me Sherlock Holmes is not supposed to be an "action hero" he's supposed to be more cerebral which is why I think Jeremy Brett's Sherlock was the best. as a matter of fact, Jude Law was in one of those episodes as a young boy.
I'm eventually going to see Dark Knight Rises, but since I'm off to Baltimore soon I might have to wait until next week. I have been thinking now that Nolan is done with the Batman franchise that the next person to take the reigns should NOT start out with an origin story...everyone knows the origin of Batman like they know the origin of Jesus, enough already. They need to do the 'A Death In the Family' story arch, but keep Nolan's idea of more realistic characters and so on. For example, The Riddler could be a Zodiac Killer kind of mad man, The Penguin a Political Boss much like whom he was actually based (William 'Boss' Tweed the leader of Tammany Hall). But the story line should be Batman & Robin, Robin turns into Nightwing, the new Robin is Jason Todd who works with Batman who is growing weary of crime fighting and Jason Todd is murdered (well it was The Joker in the comic, but it could be by whoever) and this gets Nightwing to come back and be Robin again and Batman has a whole vengence angle in the 3rd movie....but that's as a fan what I want to see.

Being shocking is not the same as being humorous... Something morons who joke over such things fail to realise.
'tee hee hee, I'm not meant to say/do this' is not a joke. It's on the same level as a bunch of 5 year olds giggling over swear words.

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
The Artist.... quality flick very solid
-
re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Savages - A must see IMO... I fucken love movies like this. I was a bit skeptic at first but gotta admit it was good.
-
re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
'W.C. Fields & Me' - A biopic of The Great Man & his love Carlotta Monti. A very good movie, it shows the not so great sides of his character but the man was a hilarious comic, best of all time IMO up there Groucho Marx & Jack Benny.
'Midnight in Paris' - It's almost as if this movie was made for me. A Woody Allen movie with Owen Wilson as the lead who is engaged and questioning what kind of life he wants to live has romantic ideas about Paris is transported every midnight to 1920's Paris, Dali, Hemmingway, Picasso, F. Scott & Zelda Fitzgerald, Cole Porter, etc make appearances and help Owen Wilson find what he's looking for.

Yeah the origin has been done to death. Good time to bring in Robin in the next one
Gotta say Dark Knight rises lived up to the hype. Tom Hardy had a lot to live up to with Nicholson and Ledeger playing the Batman bad guy guy but his Bain was as a good a Villan as Ive seen. Quite long but the plot was strong and Id pay to see it again

I think we're finished
But taking his place is Jeremy Renner from The Hurt Locker and The Town, who I like as well, so it might not be a bad transition.
I'll be honest, when I saw the trailor I thought he looked the part kicking the shit out of people. I cant help thinking though, he always plays the role of a cock pretty damned well, he must be a cock, added to that he
isnt Matt Damon I dont think Im going to give him a far shake.
I think its too early to be commenting on this, Im still hurting
Well Memphis, I went to see The Bourne Legacy today, and I really liked it. Jeremy Renner plays a different character than Matt Damon, so that was good thing. They did a really good job of incorporating what happened with Jason Bourne into the movie, in order to make a smooth transition. And they left it wide open for them to be able to continue with Jeremy Renner's character as well.
The movie was 2 hours and 15 minutes long, but damn it went by fast, so fast that when it was the end of the movie, I couldn't believe it.
-
I never jumped on the Bourne bus..
Haven't seen anyone of them...
