So it was a comedy yeah?

I over heard someone talking yesterday about a new movie (for the sci fi lovers) that is going to be the movie of all movies better deeper than Matrix number one for its time. Called; Cloud atlas :-\
Im going to have to find the preview apparently its somewhere to be found.
From acclaimed filmmakers Lana Wachowski, Tom Tykwer, and Andy Wachowski, the powerful and inspiring epic drama “Cloud Atlas” explores how the actions and consequences of individual lives impact one another throughout the past, the present and the future.
Action, mystery and romance weave dramatically through the story as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero, and a single act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire
a revolution in the distant future.
Ok maybe good :-\.
Cloud Atlas - Extended First Look [HD] - YouTube!
Might go watch this in 3d.
Hobo with a shotgun - Would have been better if Matt Damon was in it but a truly epic film ;D
I watched The Green Mile last night and thought it was a good film. Obviously I found some of the religious connotations of Tom Hanks a bit much, but I felt for John Coffe who seemed to have the meaning of existence down to a tee. It is quite painful and maybe the electric chair is a release from all that hyper sensitivity and people stabbing glass into your brain.
That Percy was an evil git though all the way through. He deserved what he got. A despicable character. I felt awful seeing the guy electrocuted until his face caught fire. How can you die like that? So awful.
I also dislike how anyone could want to see someone electrocuted. It is like a throwback to the audience of a hanging. Do you really get satisfaction in seeing someone fry for a wrong doing? Doesn't that make you warped too? Even if it was your loved one?
It is all too warped for me really and I cannot digest the mentality. I couldn't work on The Green Mile and I am glad to see Tom Hanks saw reason too.
I went to Krakow POland last weekend and saw a traıler called "Andrewcz Golota Schtıcks Seıne KNockwurst UP the Wıtch's Dırty Ass" rated PG chıldren under 14 need parents.
Safe - It was really thought provoking. Jason Statham plays a miserable cunt who kicks the piss out of everyone and saves the day.
Warrior - Tom Hardy rivals Jason Statham in the miserable cunt kicking the piss out of anything that moves stakes. Until his big brother duffs him up. I actually quite liked it.
American Pie Reunion - The usual stuff.
Im getting good at staying awake during films.
I watched Robert Mitchum in 'The Enemy Below' a movie about a Destroyer Captain vs a U-Boat Captain....decent enough film though I need to stop procrastinating and see Das Boot.
Next up, 'Zombieland'....I'm in a zombie mood recently, let's see how it goes
Watched the Campaign .. Pretty funny movie.
Longest Day a classic War Film.;)
Just been rifling through Netflix and you would not believe how many Zombies vs Strippers/naked women movies there are on streaming :D
Off to check netflix.
Had a bit of a comedy fest last night.
Jim Jefferies - Alcoholocaust. Pretty good, someone posted the highlights here a few weeks back.
Demetri Martin - People. I thought it was brilliant.
Ok not movies but who gives a fuck.
Zombies, Zombies, Zombies: Strippers vs Zombies.....not as much nudity as one would expect, but a nice little flick.
Next up on my Zombie-thon is Bloodlust Zombies starring one Alexis Texas :o
Bloodlust Zombies ALSO very little nudity for something starring a flippin pornstar
Cheerleader Massacre is a little better
It being fall and all I'm really getting into the Halloween movies early :D ....Nightmare on Elm Street 2 is one of the worst horror movies ever, it's brilliant ;D
Watching Business, british gangster movie set in Spain in 80's, looks too fake and crap.
I watched Reservoir Dogs today and quite enjoyed it. At first I wasn't sure how to take the odd way it was all being presented and so decided to relax and enjoy it as a very odd and violent comedy. It worked, I enjoyed it more.
I am watching Chaplin's The Great Dictator again tomorrow.
You see Milo. There is value in disengaging the brain and allowing a film/TV program to just wash over you.
Re-watching No Country For Old Men
Reservoir Dogs is great! I love that film.
As for Charlie Chaplin....he has nothing on 'The Great Man' W.C. Fields! Whose misanthropic nature I am certain would mesh very well with your own miles.
I just saw 'Zombieland', quality little film, I must remember: Cardio, Double Tap, don't trust bathrooms.
I was reading about Chaplin today and it is a shame he was booted from America for having political stances a bit like mine. He was seemingly a decent chap, but kept getting young girls pregnant and then into marriage. No reason for a McCartty witch hunt though and so Chaplin went to Switzerland. I find their approach to Chaplin was wrong and unjust. A man is allowed his political views just like Chomsky is. Look at the great dictator. A wonderful film and even banned on release in the UK. It was forward thinking satire and cutting in terms of how far he took it. Chaplin's last great work.
The US est. said sorry latter, but it's just sour. Chaplin was a good man, you don't get rid of good men.
Chaplin was a little toe dancer compared to Fields who was the supreme talent of his day.
Last night I watched a movie that burned into my mind as a child...'Slugs'. A horror film about slugs mutated by toxic waste (how very 1980's of them). These killer slugs....well they kill people and it's up to the Sanitation Manager & Health Department head along with a high school Biology teacher to rid this New York town of this menace.
Decent enough I guess....now next in my Netflix queue 'Vampyres' a tale of love and blood featuring 2 bisexual lady vampires ;)
'Cabin In The Woods' a BRILLIANT movie....not all that scary, but funny and really takes the piss out of the horror genre.
I just watch The Lorax.. It's fun and hilarious!
Yeah a different class cunt ;D
Saturday night after watching MOTD, I settle down to watch and action movie something along the lines of 'The Book of Eli' or something like that. Machine Gun Preacher .... is nothing like that. Really intense and more of a drama than an action movie. My blunder, I shouldn't add films on to lovefilm without reading a description.
Well there are just so many action movies to choose from man...narrow the search down a bit and I may be of some help.
Since October is here I am 100% about scary movies & horror movies and so on. "Shaun of the Dead', 'Cabin In The Woods', etc are also on tap as I enjoy movies that poke fun of the genre
debbie does dallas
I saw 2 1980's horror movies recently 'The Unnameable' and 'The Burning' both were pretty funny, but 'The Burning' was great because Jason Alexander (George Costanza from Seinfeld) plays a teenage camp counsler and he's got a full head of hair and it's just ridiculous looking.
This thread is too big to see whether or not certain films have already been mentioned.
Last night I watched - Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father.
Brilliant although upsetting. If you like documentary films with a twist, I recommend it.
A really good foreign film I watched recently was "A Prophet". Set in a french prison, about a young guys transformation while in there.
Also watched Layer Cake which wasn't too bad.
Most mainstream box office movies have just gotten too predictable for me lately, so searching out different venues have found these 2 to be pretty good.
