Re: Best punches that didn't......
And the punches he took versus Morales too, all through his career really.
In the past twenty years, maybe since Hagler's retirement since that was about twenty years ago, I'm not sure there's been a guy with a better chin than McCullough. Definitely has to be on the list.

Just happen to see that fight this morning.
CC. for that one.
Pryors head snaps back and you can see his eyes out of sync with his head but just comes forward looking in the wrong direction like nothing happened. :o At that point you can almost read it in Alexis body language that he knew there was nothing he could do to hurt none the less stop the 'Hawk' that night.
Honestly after watching this fight again today.....FWOCK every single HUGE right hand Arguello through in the fight especially in the 10th, 11th, 12th & 13th rd. Pryor would stagger but wouldn't fall and just came forward.
Which is what leads me to believe that the "water" was mixed. ;)
Re: Best punches that didn't......
The left hooks from Corrales that Castillo stood up to, was staggered by but didn't go down, especially late in the seventh and all through the 8th were just incredibly hard punches. I just watched it again, Chico's left hook was beautiful the first fight, and the 8th round was incredible. I forgot how good that round was.
Re: Best punches that didn't......
Kostya Tszyu nailed Hatton with a perfect 'chicken dancer' right cross in the 8th round, god knows how rick didn't go down

Re: Best punches that didn't......
Tyson's first round combo on Danny Williams...
but this shot always makes me wonder if Naz's chin was pretty underated...
Re: Best punches that didn't......
Also, when Jeff Lacy landed that overhand right on Scott Pemberton in the second round and he just, oh no thats right he went down like a sack of shit!

I remember him saying that also LMFAO . got to love that guys determination factor.
Re: Best punches that didn't......
In Arguello-Pryor I, Arguello landed one of the most beautiful right hands he'd ever landed. Pryor blinked and backed off momentarily, but shrugged it off and kept coming. Mentally, that's when Arguello knew he'd lose the fight.
