Just wanted to point out that the only LEGIT knockdown that Toney ever suffered IMO was in 1991 against Reggie Johnson. The KD against Jones, while flashy, was more of being off balance/Jones slamming into him, and Peter's KD was obviously a balance issue as it was just a stiff jab.
When you got someone with the chin and defensive abilities of James Toney, you got a guy who is incredibly hard to knock down.

Did Tex Cobb ever get dropped? Holmes said he'd never fight him again because his hands couldn't take the abuse.

Australian Featherweight Johnny Famechon.In 67 bouts he was never decked or stopped.Won WBC feather title from Jose Legra in 1969.

Yes Cobb was down 4 times in the 1st round against Dee Collier and was stopped in the 1st round.

Sorry to have to say that Famechon was floored in the 11th round by Vicente Saldivar in 1970.
Probably the only round Saldivar actually won by the way as he was given a gift decision.

I think someone mentioned him in a similar thread to this one some time ago when I had just joined the forum... Then I remembered about him again because McCall fought him recently and there was an article about it somewhere, prolly fightnews... But for gods sake the guy is 50 now and McCall still didn't stop him just this past year. He must have the most unimaginable chin, when you think about it... Since he has never ever beaten a good fighter, but fought so many HW punchers and never been stopped.. Not only that but he is a small HW, weighing just around 200 lbs for most of his fights starting out.. If you look on his record he fought Mercer to a draw back in 1994 I think, when Mercer was still a major force.. Ray must have taken the fight lightly but goddamn I bet that was an entertaining matchup... Two guys with anvils for a head fighting to a draw.. I bet Wilson was robbed! :D
