Sshheeezzzz!
Excuses!
Pac was dead poor, had a bad childhood etc. all kinds of problems too.
MAB grew up from a wealthy family. They should've have plan "B" with their training camp.
Pro-boxers have team.
Pac beat him in his home ground.
MAB was so desperate, he tried all his nasty cheating ability to survive the night.
Not taking anything away from Pac but apart from the wins over an undertrained Barrera and a washed up Morales and what has Pac got ? He was thoroughly outboxed by Marquez and Pacs been knocked out by nobodies . Compare that to Nas who proved himself fight after fight . His only loss a close points defeat . Not much comparrisson really
TysonBruno- CC Right bak atcha ! ;)
Re: OR whAT ABOUT PACMAN VS HAMED how would that have been?
Game bang on again mate i was just thinking this myself ;) Morales had had it and he did beat Pac once and JMM did take him to school

You were talking about 1995-96 the young skinny teen ager Pac.
He got KOed because he couldn't make 112 no more.
Pac KOed under 30 years old MAB and EM.
JMM got a draw from judge's scorring error after he got floored 3x in 1st round.
What are you talking about?

I am aware the result was a draw but I dont need the 3 blind mice to tell me who won a fight . I saw it with my own eyes and I saw Pac get skooled after the 1st round .
There have been subtle improvements in Pac but we need to see him prove it against fighters on the way up like what I was saying about Nas afew posts back . Take away an overmatched Solis and all Pacs previous opponents have been guys on the way down . How does that tell us what Pac has ? Erik would have never waved the white flag in his prime but he gave up all too easily vs Pac in the decider
We can only debate opinions mate . Ours differ. I just think Nas was more consitant and when he went down he got up to win ALWAYS !

Re: OR whAT ABOUT PACMAN VS HAMED how would that have been?
You talk about Barerra being the common opponent but you know what Pacquiao isn't gonna fight Hamed like Barerra did.
And in his last performances Pacquiao has been hit by punches he should be able to dodge.
If that was Hamed in there hitting Pacquiao instead of Solis Pacquiao would have been knocked out.
Re: OR whAT ABOUT PACMAN VS HAMED how would that have been?
Starr have CC#1170 on me ;)
Re: OR whAT ABOUT PACMAN VS HAMED how would that have been?
And I'll also add(and your Pacquiao fans can say it the other way around if you want to)
But Hamed is the hardest punching, and fastest puncher Pacquiao has ever faced. He's also a very good counter puncher. And his counter punching style is very different then Barerra's technique of earmuffs and firing inside or over your shots. Hamed was a step back counter puncher like Marquez is and Marquez is the one who hit Pacquiao the most.
Pacquiao has improved since then but in what way?
He added feints and a right hook. Thats it
And lately he hasn't looked very impressive.
And if you want to downplay Naz's opponents I can do the same to Pacquiao.
Pacquiao ONLY beat Erik Morales after he came down in weight from lightweight and had gotten beaten by Zahir Raheem and then fought the weight drained Morales again who didn't have his legs. And you forget in the rematch Morales was doing well until he lost his legs.
But I'm not gonna go that route.
Point is Pacquiao hasn't been impressive lately and doesnt' seem to be focused 100 percent on his boxing career.
Against Larios and against Solis he looked bad(not bad in terms of action) but bad in terms of the craft he showed against Barerra and Morales. And he is getting hit a lot by fighters who he should be able to see it coming. And if Solis gave him so much trouble and Solis is nowhere as fast nor hits as hard as Hamed, if Hamed had been the one landing all those punches on Pacquiao that Larios, Marquez and Solis landed on him qith quite consistancy then Pacquiao would be on the mat looking at the ceiling. And if you don't believe me ask any fighter that ever pressed the fight on Hamed and slugged with him. What they will tell you was "Yeah he had some trouble at first but he adjusted and knocked me the fuck out!"

pac did get schooled after the first round..three knockdowns and couldn't finish the guy..doesn't say much for pac's killer instinct well at that time of course...but hamed v pac isn't a clear pick for either one of them..it one of the toughest fight to predict who'ed win...that what i was thinking when i came up with this post...that's a tough one to call
Re: OR whAT ABOUT PACMAN VS HAMED how would that have been?
This fight would be a good one. Barrera had the jab and defensive style to shut Naz out. Where Pac has the explosiveness to overwhelm Barrera. If Pac's chin held up, he would win this fight IMO. But, because of his aggressive, wide open style, would play into Naz's countering. Manny would make adjustments, and probably win on points, but I wouldn't be surprised if he tasted the canvas either.
Re: OR whAT ABOUT PACMAN VS HAMED how would that have been?
The major thing in Barrera's fight plan is he did'nt fight his normal way had he fought in his normal pressure style Naz would have ko'd him and quick pac comes forward in aggressive style hence it would end in a ko loss
Re: OR whAT ABOUT PACMAN VS HAMED how would that have been?
:P :P :P this is funny fans vs fans, both side is bias. hopefully noun of you actually believe ur 100% correct with what the hell you guys say ;D
all i know is it takes heart to battle with pac, i just don't think naz have enough heart to go through the hell jmm mab and eric went through with pac and naz isn't even in those guys level. and yup pac win or lose put them through hell ;)

that's what i've been saying all along..it's too tough to call...naz had the reflexs to dodge and counter but manny is quick enough to land sometimes...the question would be whether or not pac could take prince's power because naz does have a chin...
another thing i've thought about was that naz could switch hit and had power in both hands..so if he stayed southpaw all night how would manny fare against that...
